Brojevi 27
1 Tada pristupiše kćeri Selofhada, sina Heferova, sina Gileadova, sina Makirova, sina Manašeova iz roda Josipova sina Manašea. A imena kćeri bila su: Mahla, Noa, Hogla, Milka i Tirsa.
Then there approached the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, who was the son of Joseph: and their names are Mahlah, and Noa, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
2 One stanu pred Mojsija, pred svećenika Eleazara, pred glavare i svu zajednicu na ulazu u Šator sastanka pa reknu:
And they stood before Moses and Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the people, at the door of the tabernacle of the covenant, and they said:
3 “Naš je otac umro u pustinji. Nije pripadao družini što se pobunila protiv Jahve - Korahovoj družini - nego je umro od svoga vlastitoga grijeha. Sinova nije imao.
“Our father died in the desert, and was not with the sedition, which was stirred up against the Lord under Korah, but he died in his own sin; he had no male sons. Why is his name taken away from his family, because he had no son? Give us a possession among the kinsmen of our father.”
4 Zašto bi se odstranilo ime našega oca iz njegova roda? Budući da nije imao sina, daj nama posjed među braćom našega oca!”
And Moses referred their case to the judgment of the Lord.
5 Mojsije iznese njihov slučaj pred Jahvu.
And the Lord said to him:
6 A Jahve reče Mojsiju:
“The daughters of Zelophehad are asking for something just. So give them a possession among the kinsmen of their father, and let them succeed him in his inheritance.
7 “Selofhadove kćeri pravo kažu. Treba svakako da im dadneš posjed koji će biti njihova baština među braćom njihova oca. Prenesi na njih baštinu njihova oca.
And to the sons of Israel, you shall speak these things:
8 Nadalje, reci Izraelcima: 'Kad koji čovjek umre a ne imadne sina, prenesite njegovu baštinu na njegovu kćer.
When a man dies without a son, his inheritance shall be transferred to his daughter.
9 Ne imadne li ni kćeri, predajte baštinu njegovoj braći.
If he has no daughter, his brothers shall succeed him.
10 Ako ne imadne ni braće, njegovu baštinu podajte braći njegova oca.
But if there were also no brothers, you shall give the inheritance to the brothers of his father.
11 Ako mu otac ne imadne braće, baštinu njegovu podajte najbližem rođaku njegova roda: neka je on uzme u posjed.' Neka to bude zakonska odredba Izraelcima, kako je Jahve naredio Mojsiju.”
But if he has no paternal uncles, the inheritance shall be given to those who are closest to him. And this shall be, for the sons of Israel, consecrated as a perpetual law, just as the Lord has instructed Moses.”
12 Jahve reče Mojsiju: “Popni se na ovo brdo Abarim i razgledaj zemlju koju dajem Izraelcima.
The Lord also said to Moses: “Ascend onto this mountain, Abarim, and contemplate from there the land, which I will give to the sons of Israel.
13 A kad budeš razgledao, pridružit ćeš se svojim precima i ti, kako se pridružio i tvoj brat Aron.
And when you have seen it, you shall then go to your people, just as your brother Aaron went.
14 Jer ste se u pobuni zajednice u pustinji Sin usprotivili mojim ustima umjesto da vodom očitujete moju svetost pred njihovim očima.” (To su Meripske vode kod Kadeša u Sinskoj pustinji.)
For you offended me in the desert of Sin at the Contradiction of the multitude; neither were you willing to sanctify me in their sight over the waters. These are the Waters of Contradiction at Kadesh in the desert of Sin.”
15 A Jahvi Mojsije progovori ovako:
Moses answered him:
16 “Neka Jahve, Bog duhova u svakom tijelu, postavi čovjeka nad ovom zajednicom
“May the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, provide a man, who may be over this multitude,
17 koji će pred njom izlaziti; koji će pred njom stupati; koji će je izvoditi i uvoditi tako da Jahvina zajednica ne bude kao stado što nema pastira.”
and who may be able to exit and enter before them, and who may lead them out or lead them in: lest the people of the Lord be like sheep without a shepherd.”
18 “Uzmi Jošuu, sina Nunova!” - reče Jahve Mojsiju. “To je čovjek u kome ima duha. Na nj položi ruku svoju!
And the Lord said to him: “Take Joshua, the son of Nun, a man in whom the Spirit is, and place your hand upon him.
19 Onda ga odvedi pred svećenika Eleazara i pred svu zajednicu te mu na njihove oči daj naredbe!
And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest and the entire multitude.
20 Predaj mu dio svoje vlasti da ga sluša sva zajednica sinova Izraelovih.
And you shall give him the precepts in the sight of all, and a portion of your glory, so that the entire congregation of the sons of Israel may listen to him.
21 Neka pristupa k svećeniku Eleazaru, koji će za nj tražiti odluke Urima pred Jahvom. Na njegovu zapovijed neka izlaze i na njegovu zapovijed neka ulaze, oni i svi Izraelci s njim - sva zajednica.”
On his behalf, if anything is to be done, Eleazar the priest shall consult the Lord. He, and all the sons of Israel with him, and the rest of the multitude, shall go out and enter in at his word.”
22 Mojsije učini kako mu je Jahve naredio: uzme Jošuu te ga postavi pred svećenika Eleazara i pred svu zajednicu.
Moses did just as the Lord had instructed. And when he had brought Joshua, he set him before Eleazar the priest, and before the entire gathering of the people.
23 Položi zatim na nj svoje ruke i dade mu svoje naredbe, kako je Jahve zapovjedio preko Mojsija.
And imposing his hands upon his head, he repeated all that the Lord had commanded.
