Brojevi 22
1 Poslije toga Izraelci otputuju i utabore se na Moapskim poljanama, s onu stranu Jordana, nasuprot Jerihonu.
And they set out [the] people of Israel and they encamped in [the] plains of Moab from [the] other side of [the] Jordan of Jericho.
2 Balak, sin Siporov, vidje sve što Izrael učini Amorejcima.
And he saw Balak [the] son of Zippor all that it had done Israel to the Amorite[s].
3 Moab se uvelike poboja toga naroda jer je bio brojan. Moaba obuze strah od Izraelaca.
And it was afraid Moab because of the people exceedingly for [was] numerous it and it felt dread Moab because of [the] people of Israel.
4 Zato reče Moab midjanskim starješinama: “Sad će ova rulja oko nas sve popasti kao što vol popase travu po polju.” Balak, sin Siporov, bijaše moapski kralj u ono vrijeme.
And it said Moab to [the] elders of Midian now they will lick up the company all around us as licks up the ox [the] greenery of the field and Balak [the] son of Zippor [was] king of Moab at the time that.
5 On pošalje glasnike Bileamu, sinu Beorovu, u Petoru, koji se nalazi na Rijeci, u zemlji Amonaca. Pozove ga rekavši: “Evo je došao neki narod iz Egipta; evo je prekrio lice zemlje i naselio se uza me.
And he sent messengers to Balaam [the] son of Beor Pethor towards which [was] at the river [the] land of [the] sons of people his to summon him saying here! a people it has come out from Egypt here! it has covered [the] eye of the land and it [is] dwelling from in front of me.
6 Zato dođi i prokuni mi ovaj narod jer je jači od mene. Tako ću ga moći svladati i istjerati iz zemlje. A znam da je blagoslovljen onaj koga blagosloviš, a proklet onaj koga prokuneš.”
And therefore come! please curse! for me the people this for [is too] mighty it for me perhaps I will be able to strike it and I will drive out it from the land for I know [the one] whom you bless [is] blessed and [the one] whom you curse he is cursed.
7 Starješine moapske i starješine midjanske krenu s nagradom za vračanje u svojim rukama. Stignu Bileamu i prenesu mu Balakovu poruku.
And they went [the] elders of Moab and [the] elders of Midian and divinations [were] in hand their and they came to Balaam and they spoke to him [the] words of Balak.
8 On im rekne: “Prenoćite ovdje te ću vam odgovoriti prema onome što mi Jahve kaže.” Tako moapski knezovi ostanu kod Bileama.
And he said to them lodge here this night and I will bring back you word just as he will speak Yahweh to me and they remained [the] leaders of Moab with Balaam.
9 Bog dođe Bileamu i upita: “Tko su ti ljudi s tobom?” Bileam odgovori Bogu:
And he came God to Balaam and he said who? [are] the men these with you.
10 “Poslao ih k meni Balak, sin Siporov, moapski kralj, s porukom:
And he said Balaam to God Balak [the] son of Zippor [the] king of Moab he sent to me.
11 'Evo je neki narod došao iz Egipta i prekrio lice zemlje. Dođi da ga prokuneš. Tako ću ga moći svladati i protjerati.'”
Here! the people which has come out from Egypt and it has covered [the] eye of the land now come! curse! for me it perhaps I will be able to engage in battle against it and I will drive out it.
12 Ali Bog reče Bileamu: “Nemoj ići s njima! Nemoj proklinjati onaj narod jer je blagoslovljen.”
And he said God to Balaam not you will go with them not you will curse the people for [is] blessed it.
13 Ujutro Bileam ustane te će Balakovim knezovima: “Odlazite u svoju zemlju jer mi ne da Jahve da pođem s vama.”
And he arose Balaam in the morning and he said to [the] leaders of Balak go to land your for he has refused Yahweh to permit me to go with you.
14 Moapski se knezovi dignu, odu Balaku pa mu reknu: “Bileam nije htio poći s nama.”
And they arose [the] leaders of Moab and they went to Balak and they said he has refused Balaam to come with us.
15 Balak opet pošalje knezove, brojnije i uglednije od prvih.
And he repeated again Balak to send leaders many and honored more than these.
16 Oni dođu Bileamu i reknu mu: “Ovako je poručio Balak, sin Siporov: 'Ne skanjuj se nego dođi k meni.
And they came to Balaam and they said to him thus he says Balak [the] son of Zippor do not please let yourself be restrained from coming to me.
17 Bogato ću te nagraditi i učinit ću sve što mi kažeš. Dođi, molim te, i prokuni mi ovaj narod!'”
For surely I will honor you exceedingly and all that you will say to me I will do and come! please curse! for me the people this.
18 Ali Bileam odgovori Balakovim slugama: “Da mi Balak dadne svoju kuću punu srebra i zlata, ne bih mogao prestupiti zapovijedi Jahve, Boga svoga, da učinim išta, bilo veliko bilo malo.
And he answered Balaam and he said to [the] servants of Balak if he will give to me Balak [the] fullness of house his silver and gold not I will be able to transgress [the] mouth of Yahweh God my by doing a small [thing] or a large [thing].
19 Ali provedite ovdje i vi noć da doznam što će mi Jahve još kazati.”
And now remain please in this [place] also you this night so let me know what? will he increase Yahweh to speak with me.
20 Noću Bog dođe Bileamu pa mu rekne: “Ako su ti ljudi došli da te pozovu, ustani, pođi s njima! Ali da činiš samo što ti ja reknem!”
And he came God - to Balaam night and he said to him if to summon you they have come the men arise go with them and only the word which I will speak to you it you will do.
21 Ustane Bileam ujutro, osamari svoju magaricu i ode s moapskim knezovima.
And he arose Balaam in the morning and he saddled donkey his and he went with [the] leaders of Moab.
22 No Božja srdžba usplamtje što je on pošao. Zato anđeo Jahvin stade na put da ga spriječi. On je jahao na svojoj magarici, a pratila ga njegova dva momka.
And it burned [the] anger of God for [was] going he and he stood [the] angel of Yahweh in the road to an adversary to him and he [was] riding on donkey his and two of servants his [were] with him.
23 Kad magarica opazi anđela Jahvina kako stoji na putu s isukanim mačem u ruci, skrene sa staze i pođe preko polja. Bileam poče tući magaricu da je vrati na put.
And it saw the donkey [the] angel of Yahweh standing in the road and sword his [was] drawn in hand his and it turned aside the donkey from the road and it went in the field and he struck Balaam the donkey to turn it the road.
24 Anđeo Jahvin tada stade na uskom prolazu, među vinogradima, a bijaše ograda i s ove i s one strane.
And he stood [the] angel of Yahweh in [the] narrow way of the vineyards a wall from this and a wall from this.
25 Magarica, spazivši Jahvina anđela, stisne se uza zid i o zid pritisne Bileamovu nogu. On je opet poče tući.
And it saw the donkey [the] angel of Yahweh and it squeezed itself to the wall and it squeezed [the] foot of Balaam to the wall and he repeated to strike it.
26 Anđeo Jahvin pođe naprijed te stade na usko mjesto gdje nije bilo prostora da se provuče ni desno ni lijevo.
And he increased [the] angel of Yahweh to pass on and he stood in a place narrow where there not [was] a way to turn aside right [hand] and left [hand].
27 Kad je magarica ugledala Jahvina anđela, legne pod Bileamom. Bileam pobjesni i poče tući magaricu štapom.
And it saw the donkey [the] angel of Yahweh and it lay down under Balaam and it burned [the] anger of Balaam and he struck the donkey with the stick.
28 Tada Jahve otvori usta magarici te ona progovori Bileamu: “Što sam ti učinila da si me tukao tri puta?”
And he opened Yahweh [the] mouth of the donkey and it said to Balaam what? have I done to you that you have struck me this three feet.
29 Bileam odgovori magarici: “Što sa mnom zbijaš šalu! Da mi je mač u ruci, sad bih te ubio!”
And he said Balaam to the donkey that you have dealt wantonly with me if there [were] a sword in hand my that now I killed you.
30 A magarica uzvrati Bileamu: “Zar ja nisam tvoja magarica na kojoj si jahao svega svoga vijeka do danas? Jesam li ti običavala ovako?” - “Nisi!” - odgovori on.
And it said the donkey to Balaam ¿ not [am] I donkey your which you have ridden on me from duration your until the day this ¿ really have I had [the] habit to do to you thus and he said no.
31 Tada Jahve otvori oči Bileamu i on opazi anđela Jahvina kako stoji na putu s golim mačem u ruci. Pognu on glavu i pade ničice.
And he uncovered Yahweh [the] eyes of Balaam and he saw [the] angel of Yahweh standing in the road and sword his [was] drawn in hand his and he bowed low and he bowed down to face his.
32 Onda će mu anđeo Jahvin: “Zašto si tukao svoju magaricu već tri puta? TÓa ja sam istupio da te spriječim, jer te put meni naočigled vodi u propast.
And he said to him [the] angel of Yahweh concerning what? did you strike female donkey your this three feet here! I I came out to an adversary for it is precipitate the way to before me.
33 Magarica me opazila i preda mnom se uklonila sva tri puta. Da mi se nije uklanjala, već bih te ubio, a nju ostavio na životu.”
And it saw me the donkey and it turned aside before me this three feet perhaps it had turned aside from before me if now also you I killed and it I preserved alive.
34 Onda će Bileam anđelu Jahvinu: “Sagriješio sam! Nisam znao da ti preda mnom stojiš na putu. Ali sad, ako je zlo u tvojim očima, ja ću se vratiti.”
And he said Balaam to [the] angel of Yahweh I have sinned for not I knew that you [were] standing to meet me in the road and therefore if [it is] displeasing in view your I will turn back for myself.
35 Ali anđeo Jahvin odvrati Bileamu: “Idi s tim ljudima, ali samo ono govori što ti ja kažem.” Tako Bileam ode s Balakovim knezovima.
And he said [the] angel of Yahweh to Balaam go with the men and only the word which I will speak to you it you will speak and he went Balaam with [the] leaders of Balak.
36 Kad je Balak čuo da Bileam dolazi, iziđe mu u susret do grada Moaba što se nalazi na granici Arnona, na kraju područja.
And he heard Balak that he had come Balaam and he went out to meet him to [the] city of Moab which [is] on [the] border of Arnon which [is] at [the] end of the territory.
37 “Zar nisam uporno po te slao i pozivao te? Zašto mi nisi došao?” reče Balak Bileamu. “Zar te zaista ne mogu bogato nagraditi?”
And he said Balak to Balaam ¿ not certainly did I send to you to summon you why? not did you come to me ¿ really not am I able to honor you.
38 “Evo sam ti došao”, reče Bileam Balaku. “Ali hoću li ti moći sada što kazati? Samo što mi Bog stavi na jezik, to ću govoriti.”
And he said Balaam to Balak here! I have come to you now ¿ certainly am I able to speak anything the word which he will put God in mouth my it I will speak.
39 Pođe zatim Bileam s Balakom i dođoše u Kirjat Husot.
And he went Balaam with Balak and they came Kiriath-huzoth.
40 Žrtvova Balak i krupne i sitne stoke te od toga pruži Bileamu i knezovima koji su ga pratili.
And he sacrificed Balak cattle and sheep and he sent to Balaam and to the leaders who [were] with him.
41 Sutradan uze Balak Bileama i odvede ga gore na Bamot-Baal, odakle mogaše vidjeti krajnji dio naroda.
And it was in the morning and he took Balak Balaam and he brought up him Bamoth Baal and he saw from there [the] outskirt[s] of the people.
