1 Trećeg dana bijaše svadba u Kani Galilejskoj. Bila ondje Isusova majka.
And, on the third day, a marriage, took place, in Cana, of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there, —
2 Na svadbu bijaše pozvan i Isus i njegovi učenici.
and Jesus also was invited, with his disciples, unto the marriage.
3 Kad ponesta vina, Isusu će njegova majka: “Vina nemaju.”
And, wine falling short, the mother of Jesus saith unto him—Wine, have they none!
4 Kaže joj Isus: “Ženo, što ja imam s tobom? Još nije došao moj čas!”
And Jesus saith unto her—What part can I take with thee, O woman? Not yet, hath come, mine hour.
5 Nato će njegova mati poslužiteljima: “Što god vam rekne, učinite!”
His mother saith unto them who are ministering—Whatsoever he may say to you, do!
6 A bijaše ondje Židovima za čišćenje šest kamenih posuda od po dvije do tri mjere.
Now there were there, six stone water-vessels, placed, according to the purification of the Jews; holding each, two or three measures.
7 Kaže Isus poslužiteljima: “Napunite posude vodom!” I napune ih do vrha.
Jesus saith unto them—Fill the vessels with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
8 Tada im reče: “Zagrabite sada i nosite ravnatelju stola.” Oni odnesu.
And he saith unto them—Draw out now, and be bearing unto the master of the feast. And they bare.
9 Kad okusi vodu što posta vinom, a nije znao odakle je - znale su sluge koje zagrabiše vodu - ravnatelj stola pozove zaručnika
And, when the master of the feast had tasted the water, now made, wine, and knew not whence it was, —though, they who were ministering, knew, even they who had drawn out the water, the master accosteth the bridegroom,
10 i kaže mu: “Svaki čovjek stavlja na stol najprije dobro vino, a kad se ponapiju, gore. Ti si čuvao dobro vino sve do sada.”
and saith unto him—Every man, first the good wine, setteth out; and, when they had been well-supplied, the inferior: —Thou, hast kept the good wine until, even now.
11 Tako, u Kani Galilejskoj, učini Isus prvo znamenje i objavi svoju slavu te povjerovaše u njega njegovi učenici.
This, beginning of his signs, did Jesus, in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
12 Nakon toga siđe sa svojom majkom, s braćom i sa svojim učenicima u Kafarnaum. Ondje ostadoše nekoliko dana.
After this, he came down into Capernaum, —he, and his mother and brethren, and his disciples; and, there, they abode, not many days.
13 Blizu bijaše židovska Pasha. Stoga Isus uziđe u Jeruzalem.
And, near, was the passover of the Jews; and, Jesus, went up unto Jerusalem.
14 U Hramu nađe prodavače volova, ovaca i golubova i mjenjače gdje sjede.
And he found, in the temple, them that were selling oxen and sheep and doves, also the money-changers sitting.
15 I načini bič od užeta te ih sve istjera iz Hrama zajedno s ovcama i volovima. Mjenjačima rasu novac i stolove isprevrta,
And, making a scourge out of rushes, all of them, thrust he forth out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and, the money-changers’ small coins, poured he forth, and, the tables, he overturned;
16 a prodavačima golubova reče: “Nosite to odavde i ne činite od kuće Oca mojega kuću trgovačku.”
and unto them who were selling, the doves, he said—Take these things hence! Be not making, the house of my Father, a house of merchandise.
17 Prisjetiše se njegovi učenici da je pisano: Izjeda me revnost za Dom tvoj.
His disciples remembered that it was written—The zeal of thy house, eateth me up.
18 Nato se umiješaju Židovi i upitaju ga: “Koje nam znamenje možeš pokazati da to smiješ činiti?”
The Jews therefore answered, and said unto him, What sign, dost thou point out to us, in that, these things, thou doest?
19 Odgovori im Isus: “Razvalite ovaj hram i ja ću ga u tri dana podići.”
Jesus answered, and said unto them—Take down this shrine, and, in three days, will I raise it.
20 Rekoše mu nato Židovi: “Četrdeset i šest godina gradio se ovaj Hram, a ti da ćeš ga u tri dana podići?”
The Jews, therefore, said—In forty and six years, was this shrine built. And, thou, in three days, wilt raise it!
21 No on je govorio o hramu svoga tijela.
But, he, was speaking concerning the shrine of his body.
22 Pošto uskrsnu od mrtvih, prisjetiše se njegovi učenici da je to htio reći te povjerovaše Pismu i besjedi koju Isus reče.
When, therefore, he had been raised from among the dead, his disciples remembered, that, this, he had been saying; and they believed in the Scripture, and in the word which Jesus had spoken.
23 Dok je boravio u Jeruzalemu o blagdanu Pashe, mnogi povjerovaše u njegovo ime promatrajući znamenja koja je činio.
Now, when he was in Jerusalem, during the passover, during the feast, many, believed on his name, viewing his signs which he was doing.
24 No sam se Isus njima nije povjeravao jer ih je sve dobro poznavao
Jesus himself, however, was not trusting himself unto them, by reason of his understanding them all,
25 i nije trebalo da mu tko daje svjedočanstvo o čovjeku: ta sam je dobro znao što je u čovjeku.
and because he had, no need, that anyone should bear witness concerning man; for, he, understood what was in man.
