Job 19
1 Job progovori i reče:
Then Job answered and said,
2 “TÓa dokle ćete mučit' dušu moju, dokle ćete me riječima satirat'?
How long will you vex my soul, and destroy me with words? only know that the Lord has dealt with me thus.
3 Već deseti put pogrdiste mene i stid vas nije što me zlostavljate.
You speak against me; you do not feel for me, but bear hard upon me.
4 Pa ako sam zastranio doista, na meni moja zabluda ostaje.
Yes verily, I have erred in truth, (but the error abides with myself) in having spoken words which it was not right [to speak]; and my words err, and are unreasonable.
5 Mislite li da ste me nadjačali i krivnju moju da ste dokazali?
But alas! for you magnify yourselves against me, and insult me with reproach.
6 Znajte: Bog je to mene pritisnuo i svojom me je on stegnuo mrežom.
Know then that it is the Lord that has troubled [me], and has raised his bulwark against me.
7 Vičem: 'Nasilje!' - nema odgovora; vapijem - ali za me pravde nema.
Behold, I laugh at reproach; I will not speak: [or] I will cry out, but [there is] nowhere judgement.
8 Sa svih strana put mi je zagradio, sve staze moje u tminu zavio.
I am fenced round about, and can by no means escape: he has set darkness before my face.
9 Slavu je moju sa mene skinuo, sa moje glave strgnuo je krunu.
And he has stripped me of my glory, and has taken the crown from my head.
10 Podsijeca me odasvud te nestajem; k'o drvo, nadu mi je iščupao.
He has torn me around about, and I am gone: and he has cut off my hope like a tree.
11 Raspalio se gnjev njegov na mene i svojim me drži neprijateljem.
And he has dreadfully handled me in anger, and has counted me for an enemy.
12 U bojnom redu pristižu mu čete, putove proti meni nasipaju, odasvud moj opkoljavaju šator.
His troops also came upon me with one accord, liars in wait compassed my ways.
13 Od mene su se udaljila braća, otuđili se moji poznanici.
My brethren have stood aloof from me; they have recognised strangers [rather] than me: and my friends have become pitiless.
14 Nestade bližnjih mojih i znanaca, gosti doma mog zaboraviše me.
My nearest of kin have not acknowledged me, and they that knew my name, have forgotten me.
15 Sluškinjama sam svojim kao stranac, neznanac sam u njihovim očima.
[As for] my household, and my maidservants, I was a stranger before them.
16 Slugu zovnem, a on ne odgovara i za milost ga moram zaklinjati.
I called my servant, and he listened not; and my mouth entreated [him].
17 Mojoj je ženi dah moj omrznuo, gadim se djeci vlastite utrobe.
And I implored my wife, and earnestly entreated the sons of my concubines.
18 I deranima na prezir tek služim, ako se dignem, rugaju se meni.
But they rejected me for ever; whenever I rise up, they speak against me.
19 Pouzdanicima sam svojim mrzak, protiv mene su oni koje ljubljah.
They that saw me abhorred me: the very persons whom I had loved, rose up against me.
20 Kosti mi se za kožu prilijepiše, osta mi jedva koža oko zuba.
My flesh is corrupt under my skin, and my bones are held in [my] teeth.
21 Smilujte mi se, prijatelji moji, jer Božja me je ruka udarila.
Pity me, pity me, O friends; for it is the hand of the Lord that has touched me.
22 Zašto da me k'o Bog sam progonite, zar se niste moga nasitili mesa?
Therefore do you persecute me as also the Lord [does], and are not satisfied with my flesh?
23 O, kad bi se riječi moje zapisale i kad bi se u mjed tvrdu urezale;
For oh that my words were written, and that they were recorded in a book forever,
24 kad bi se željeznim dlijetom i olovom u spomen vječan u stijenu uklesale!
with an iron pen and lead, or graven in the rocks!
25 Ja znadem dobro: moj Izbavitelj živi i posljednji će on nad zemljom ustati.
For I know that he is eternal who is about to deliver me,
26 A kad se probudim, k sebi će me dići: iz svoje ću puti tad vidjeti Boga.
[and] to raise up upon the earth my skin that endures these [sufferings]: for these things have been accomplished to me of the Lord;
27 Njega ja ću kao svojega gledati, i očima mojim neće biti stranac: za njime srce mi čezne u grudima.
which I am conscious of in myself, which mine eye has seen, and not another, but all have been fulfilled to me in [my] bosom.
28 Kad kažete: 'Kako ćemo ga goniti? Koji ćemo razlog protiv njega naći?',
But if you shall also say, What shall we say before him, and [so] find the root of the matter in him?
29 mača tad se bojte: grijehu mač je kazna. Saznat ćete tada da imade suda!”
Do you also beware of deceit: for wrath will come upon transgressors; and then shall they know where their substance is.
