Ezra 10
1 Dok je Ezra molio i priznavao grijehe, plačući i ležeći pred Domom Božjim, skupilo se oko njega mnoštvo Izraelaca, ljudi, žena i djece: i taj je narod gorko plakao.
Whiles Ezra prayed thus, and confessed himselfe weeping, and falling downe before the house of God, there assembled vnto him of Israel a very great Congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept with a great lamentation.
2 Tada Šekanija, sin Jehielov, jedan od sinova Elamovih, uzimajući riječ reče Ezri: “Mi smo izdali Boga svoga ženeći se tuđinkama iz naroda zemlje. Ali još ima nade Izraelu.
Then Shechaniah the sonne of Iehiel one of the sonnes of Elam answered, and sayd to Ezra, We haue trespassed against our God, and haue taken strange wiues of the people of the land, yet nowe there is hope in Israel concerning this.
3 Obnovimo sada Savez s Bogom svojim: obećajmo da ćemo, prema savjetu moga gospodara i onih koji osjećaju strahopočitanje prema zapovijedi Boga našega, otpustiti svoje žene tuđinke i djecu koju su rodile. Učinimo dakle po Zakonu!
Now therfore let vs make a couenant with our God, to put away all the wiues (and such as are borne of them) according to the counsell of the Lord, and of those that feare the commandements of our God, and let it be done according to the Lawe.
4 Ustani, jer to je tvoja dužnost, a mi ćemo biti uza te. Budi hrabar i na djelo!”
Arise: for the matter belogeth vnto thee: we also wil be with thee: be of comfort and do it.
5 Tada ustade Ezra i zakle glavare svećeničke, i levite, i sve Izraelce da će učiniti kako im bijaše rekao. I zakleše se.
Then arose Ezra, and caused the chiefe Priestes, the Leuites, and all Israel, to sweare that they would doe according to this worde. So they sware.
6 Ezra se udalji ispred Doma Božjega i uđe u dvoranu Johanana, sina Elijašibova. Ondje provede noć i nije jeo ni kruha niti je pio vode jer tugovaše zbog nevjernosti povratnika.
And Ezra rose vp from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Iohanan the sonne of Eliashib: he went euen thither, but he did eate neither bread, nor drunke water: for he mourned, because of the transgression of them of the captiuitie.
7 Zatim je objavljeno u Judeji i Jeruzalemu svima povratnicima da se skupe u Jeruzalemu:
And they caused a proclamation to goe throughout Iudah and Ierusalem, vnto all them of the captiuitie, that they should assemble themselues vnto Ierusalem.
8 a tko ne bude došao u Jeruzalem za tri dana, toga će pozvati glavari i starješine, bit će mu zaplijenjeno imanje i isključit će ga iz zbora povratnika.
And whosoeuer woulde not come within three dayes according to the counsel of the Princes and Elders, all his substance should be forfait, and he should be separate from the Congregation of them of the captiuitie.
9 Svi su se ljudi od Jude i Benjamina sakupili tako za tri dana u Jeruzalemu. Bilo je to devetoga mjeseca, dvadesetoga dana u mjesecu. Sav se narod smjestio na trgu pred Domom Božjim, dršćući zbog svega toga i zbog jake kiše.
Then all the men of Iudah and Beniamin assembled theselues vnto Ierusalem within three dayes, which was the twentieth day of the ninth moneth, and all the people sate in the streete of the house of God, trembling for this matter, and for the raine.
10 Tada, ustavši, svećenik Ezra reče im: “Vi ste se iznevjerili kad ste se oženili tuđinkama. Tako ste povećali grijeh Izraelov!
And Ezra the Priest stoode vp, and said vnto them, Ye haue transgressed, and haue taken strange wiues, to increase the trespasse of Israel.
11 Ali podajte sada hvalu Jahvi, Bogu otaca svojih, i izvršite volju njegovu te se rastavite od naroda zemlje i od žena tuđinki.”
Now therefore giue praise vnto the Lord God of your fathers, and do his will, and separate your selues from the people of the land, and from the strange wiues.
12 Sav je zbor odgovorio snažnim glasom: “Jest, dužnost nam je učiniti po tvome savjetu!
And all the Congregation answered, and sayd with a loude voyce, So will we do according to thy wordes vnto vs.
13 Ali naroda ima mnogo i dažd nahodi: vani se ne može stajati. Osim toga, nije to posao od dan-dva, jer nas je mnogo koji smo u tome sagriješili.
But the people are many, and it is a raynie weather, and we are not able to stande without, neither is it the worke of one day or two: for we are many that haue offended in this thing.
14 Mogu nas na zajedničkom zboru zastupati naši glavari: svi koji su po našim gradovima oženjeni tuđinkama mogu doći u određeno vrijeme u pratnji starješina i sudaca svakoga grada, sve dok ne budemo odvratili gnjev Boga svojega zbog ovoga.”
Let our rulers stand therefore before all the Congregation, and let all them which haue taken strange wiues in our cities, come at the time appoynted, and with them the Elders of euery citie and the Iudges thereof, til the fierce wrath of our God for this matter turne away from vs.
15 Samo Jonatan, sin Asahelov, i Jahzija, sin Tikvin, bijahu se usprotivili; a podupirahu ih Mešulam i levit Šabetaj.
Then were appoynted Ionathan the sonne of Asah-el, and Iahaziah the sonne of Tikuah ouer this matter, and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Leuites helped them.
16 Povratnici učiniše tako: rastaše se. Svećenik Ezra izabra za pomoćnike glavare obitelji, prema njihovim domovima, i svi su bili poimence određeni. Počeli su zasjedati prvoga dana desetoga mjeseca da bi sve ispitali.
And they of the captiuitie did so, and departed, euen Ezra the Priest, and the men that were chiefe fathers to the familie of their fathers by name, and sate downe in the first day of the tenth moneth to examine the matter.
17 I prvoga dana prvoga mjeseca završiše sa svima koji se bijahu oženili tuđinkama.
And vntill the first day of the first moneth they were finishing the businesse with al the men that had taken strange wiues.
18 Među pripadnicima svećenstva evo koji bijahu oženjeni tuđinkama: između sinova Ješue, sina Josadakova, i među njegovom braćom: Maaseja, Eliezer, Jarib i Gedalija;
And of the sonnes of the Priests there were men founde, that had taken strange wiues, to wit, of the sonnes of Ieshua, the sonne of Iozadak, and of his brethren, Maaseiah, Aeliezer, and Iarib and Gedaliah.
19 oni dadoše svoju ruku da će otpustiti svoje žene i da će za svoj grijeh prinijeti ovna kao naknadnicu.
And they gaue their hads, that they would put away their wiues, and they that had trespassed, gaue a ramme for their trespasse.
20 Od sinova Imerovih: Hanani i Zebadja;
And of the sonnes of Immer, Honani, and Zebadiah.
21 od Harimovih sinova: Maaseja, Ilija, Šemaja, Jehiel i Uzija;
And of the sonnes of Harim, Maaseiah, and Eliiah, and Shemaiah, and Iehiel, and Vzziah.
22 od Pašhurovih sinova: Elijoenaj, Maaseja, Jišmael, Netanel, Jozabad i Elasa.
And of ye sonnes of Pashur, Elioenai, Maaseiah, Ishmael, Nethaneel, Iozabad, and Elasah.
23 Od levita: Jozabad, Šimej, Kelaja - nazvan Kelita - Petahja, Juda i Eliezer.
And of the Leuites, Iozabad and Shimei, and Kelaiah, (which is Kelitah) Pethahiah, Iudah and Eliezer.
24 Od pjevača: Elijašib i Zakur. Od vratara: Šalum, Telem i Uri.
And of the singers, Eliashib. And of the porters, Shallum, and Telem, and Vri.
25 A između Izraelaca: od sinova Paroševih: Ramja, Jizija, Malkija, Mijamin, Eleazar, Malkija i Benaja;
And of Israel: of the sonnes of Parosh, Ramiah, and Iesiah, and Malchiah, and Miamin, and Eleazar, and Malchiiah, and Benaiah.
26 od sinova Elamovih: Matanija, Zaharija, Jehiel, Abdi, Jeremot i Ilija;
And of the sonnes of Elam, Mattaniah, Zechariah, and Iehiel, and Abdi, and Ieremoth, and Eliah.
27 od sinova Zatuovih: Elijoenaj, Elijašib, Matanija, Jeremot, Zabad i Aziza;
And of the sonnes of Zattu, Elioenai, Eliashib, Mattaniah, and Ierimoth, and Zabad, and Aziza.
28 od sinova Bebajevih: Johanan, Hananija, Zabaj i Atlaj;
And of the sonnes of Bebai, Iehohanan, Hananiah, Zabbai, Athlai.
29 od Banijevih sinova: Mešulam, Maluk, Adaja, Jašub, Šeal i Ramot;
And of the sonnes of Bani, Meshullam, Malluch, and Adaiah, Iashub, and Sheal, Ieramoth.
30 od Pahat-Moabovih sinova: Adna, Kelal, Benaja, Maaseja, Matanija, Besalel, Binuj i Manaše;
And of the sonnes of Pahath Moab, Adna, and Chelal, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattaniah, Bezaleel, and Binnui, and Manasseh.
31 od sinova Harimovih: Eliezer, Jišija, Malkija, Šemaja, Šimun,
And of the sonnes of Harim, Eliezer, Ishiiah, Malchiah, Shemaiah, Shimeon,
32 Benjamin, Maluk, Semarja;
Beniamin, Malluch, Shamariah.
33 od sinova Hašumovih: Matnaj, Matata, Zabad, Elifelet, Jeremaj, Manaše, Šimej;
Of the sonnes of Hashum, Mattenai, Mattattah, Zabad, Eliphelet, Ieremai, Manasseh, Shimei.
34 od sinova Banijevih: Maadaj, Amram, Joel,
Of the sonnes of Bani, Maadai, Amram, and Vel,
35 Benaja, Bedja, Kelu,
Banaiah, Bediah, Chelluh,
36 Vanija, Meremot, Elijašib,
Vaniah, Meremoth, Eliashib,
37 Matanija, Matnaj i Jaasaj;
Mattaniah, Mattenai, and Iaasau,
38 od sinova Binujevih: Šimej,
And Banni, and Bennui, Shimei,
39 Šelemja, Natan i Adaja;
And Shelemiah, and Nathan, and Adaiah,
40 od Zakajevih sinova: Šašaj, Šaraj,
Machnadebai, Shashai, Sharai,
41 Azareel, Šelemja, Šemarja,
Azareel, and Shelemiah, Shemariah,
42 Šalum, Amarja, Josip;
Shallum, Amariah, Ioseph.
43 od Nebovih sinova: Jeiel, Matitja, Zabad, Zebina, Jadaj, Joel, Benaja.
Of the sonnes of Nebo, Ieiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, Iadau, and Ioel, Benaiah.
44 Svi su ovi bili oženjeni tuđinkama, ali su ih otpustili, žene i djecu.
All these had taken strange wiues: and among them were women that had children.
