2 Timoteju 4
1 Zaklinjem te pred Bogom i Kristom Isusom, koji će suditi žive i mrtve, zaklinjem te pojavkom njegovim i kraljevstvom njegovim:
I charge thee, before God, and our Lord Jesus the Messiah, who is to judge the living and the dead, at the manifestation of his kingdom,
2 propovijedaj Riječ, uporan budi - bilo to zgodno ili nezgodno - uvjeravaj, prijeti, zapovijedaj sa svom strpljivošću i poukom.
Proclaim the word; and persist in it with diligence, in time and out of time; admonish, and rebuke, with all patience and instructiveness.
3 Jer doći će vrijeme kad ljudi neće podnositi zdrava nauka nego će sebi po vlastitim požudama nagomilavati učitelje kako im godi ušima;
For the time will come, when they will not give ear to sound teaching; but, according to their lusts, will multiply to themselves teachers, in the itching of their hearing;
4 od istine će uho odvraćati, a bajkama se priklanjati.
and will turn away their ears from the truth, and incline after fables.
5 Ti, naprotiv, budi trijezan u svemu, zlopati se, djelo izvrši blagovjesničko, služenje svoje posve ispuni!
But be thou vigilant in all things; and endure evils, and do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill thy ministry.
6 Jer ja se već prinosim za žrtvu ljevanicu, prispjelo je vrijeme moga odlaska.
But I am soon to be immolated; and the time of my dissolution hath come.
7 Dobar sam boj bio, trku završio, vjeru sačuvao.
I have fought a good combat, I have completed my race, I have preserved my fidelity;
8 Stoga, pripravljen mi je vijenac pravednosti kojim će mi u onaj Dan uzvratiti Gospodin, pravedan sudac; ne samo meni, nego i svima koji s ljubavlju čekaju njegov pojavak.
and henceforth there is preserved for me a crown of righteousness, with which my Lord, the righteous Judge, will recompense me in that day; and not me only, but them also who love his manifestation.
9 Nastoj što prije doći k meni!
Exert thyself to come to me quickly.
10 Jer Dema me, zaljubljen u sadašnji svijet, napustio i otišao u Solun; Krescencije u Galaciju, Tit u Dalmaciju. (aiōn g165)
For Demas hath left me; and hath loved this world and gone away to Thessalonica; Crispus to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. (aiōn g165)
11 Luka je jedini sa mnom. Marka uzmi i dovedi sa sobom jer mi je koristan za služenje.
Luke only is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee; for he is suitable for me, for ministration.
12 Tihika sam poslao u Efez.
And Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.
13 Kabanicu koju ostavih u Troadi kod Karpa, kada dođeš, donesi. I knjige, osobito pergamene.
And when thou comest, bring the bookcase, which I left at Troas with Carpus, and the books, but especially the roll of parchments.
14 Aleksandar kovač nanio mi je mnogo zla. Uzvratio mu Gospodin po njegovim djelima!
Alexander the coppersmith showed me many ills: our Lord will reward him according to his doings.
15 Njega se i ti čuvaj jer se veoma usprotivio našim riječima.
And do thou also beware of him; for he is very insolent against our words.
16 Za prve moje obrane nitko ne bijaše uza me, svi me napustiše. Ne uračunalo im se!
At my first defence, no one was with me, but they all forsook me. Let not this be reckoned to them.
17 Ali Gospodin je stajao uza me, on me krijepio da se po meni potpuno razglasi Poruka te je čuju svi narodi; i izbavljen sam iz usta lavljih.
But my Lord stood by me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fulfilled; and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was rescued from the mouth of the lion.
18 Izbavit će me Gospodin od svakoga zla djela i spasiti za svoje nebesko kraljevstvo. Njemu slava u vijeke vjekova! Amen! (aiōn g165)
And my Lord will rescue me from every evil work; and will give me life in his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory, for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
19 Pozdravi Prisku i Akvilu i Oneziforov dom!
Present a salutation to Priscilla and Aquila, and to the household of Onesiphorus.
20 Erast osta u Korintu, a Trofima ostavih u Miletu bolesna.
Erastus hath stopped at Corinth; and Trophimus I left sick at the city of Miletus.
21 Nastoj doći prije zime. Pozdravlja te Eubul, Pudencije, Lino, Klaudija i sva braća.
Exert thyself to come before winter. Eubulus saluteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.
22 Gospodin s duhom tvojim. Milost s vama!
Our Lord Jesus the Messiah be with thy spirit. Grace be with thee. Amen.
