1 Sinovi Izraelova prvenca Rubena. On je doista bio prvenac; ali kad je oskvrnuo očevu postelju, njegovo je pravo prvorodstva bilo dano sinovima Izraelova sina Josipa, ali im nije bilo upisano u rodovnik,
The sonnes also of Reuben the eldest sonne of Israel (for he was the eldest, but had defiled his fathers bed, therefore his birthright was giuen vnto the sonnes of Ioseph the sonne of Israel, so that the genealogie is not rekoned after his birthright.
2 jer je Juda nadvladao među braćom, a od njega se rodio knez. Ipak je pravo prvorodstva pripalo Josipu.
For Iudah preuailed aboue his brethren, and of him came the prince, but the birthright was Iosephs)
3 Sinovi Izraelova prvenca Rubena bili su Henok, Falu, Hesron i Karmi.
The sonnes of Reuben the eldest sonne of Israel, were Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi.
4 Joelovi sinovi: njegov sin Šemaja, njegov sin Gog, njegov sin Šimej,
The sonnes of Ioel, Shemaiah his sonne, Gog his sonne, and Shimei his sonne,
5 njegov sin Mika, njegov sin Reaja, njegov sin Baal,
Michah his sonne, Reaiah his sonne, and Baal his sonne,
6 njegov sin Beera, koga je odveo u sužanjstvo asirski kralj Tiglat Pileser; on je bio poglavar Rubenova plemena.
Beerah his sonne: whom Tilgath Pilneeser King of Asshur caryed away: he was a prince of the Reubenites.
7 Njegovoj braći, po obiteljima, kad su se zapisali u plemenski rodovnik po naraštajima, bio je poglavar Jeiel, Zaharija,
And when his brethren in their families rekoned the genealogie of their generations, Ieiel and Zechariah were the chiefe,
8 Bela, sin Azazov, sin Šemin, sin Joelov. On je živio u Aroeru i do Neba i Baal Meona.
And Bela the sonne of Azaz, the sonne of Shema, the sonne of Ioel, which dwelt in Aroer, euen vnto Nebo and Baal meon.
9 Prema istoku njegova se zemlja prostirala do ulaza u pustinju, od rijeke Eufrata, jer mu se stoka umnožila u gileadskoj zemlji.
Also Eastwarde he inhabited vnto the entring in of the wildernes from the riuer Perath for they had much cattel in the land of Gilead.
10 Za Šaulovih vremena vojevali su s Hagrijcima koji su izginuli od njihove ruke; tako su se naselili u njihove šatore po svemu istočnom području od Gileada.
And in the dayes of Saul they warred with the Hagarims, which fell by their hands: and they dwelt in their tentes in all the East partes of Gilead.
11 Gadovi su sinovi živjeli blizu njih u bašanskoj zemlji do Salke.
And the children of Gad dwelt ouer against them in the land of Bashan, vnto Salchah.
12 Poglavar je bio Joel, a drugi Šafan, pa Janaj i Šafat u Bašanu.
Ioel was the chiefest, and Shapham the second, but Iaanai and Shaphat were in Bashan.
13 Njihova su braća po svojim rodovima bila: Mihael, Mešulam, Šeba, Joraj, Jakan, Zija, Eber, sedmorica.
And their brethren of the house of their fathers were Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Sorai, and Iacan, and Zia and Eber, seuen.
14 To su bili sinovi Abihajila, sina Hurija, sina Jaroaha, sina Gileada, sina Mihaela, sina Ješišaja, sina Jahdona, sina Buza.
These are the childre of Abihail, the sonne of Huri, the sonne of Iaroah, the sonne of Gilead, the sonne of Michael, the sonne of Ieshishai, the sonne of Iahdo, the sonne of Buz.
15 Ahi, sin Abdiela, Gunijeva sina, bio je poglavar njihova roda.
Ahi the sonne of Abdiel, the sonne of Guni was chiefe of the houshold of their fathers.
16 Živjeli su u Gileadu i u njihovim zaseocima te po svim šaronskim pašnjacima do njihovih krajeva.
And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in the townes thereof, and in all the suburbes of Sharon by their borders.
17 Svi su bili zapisani u plemenski rodovnik za vremena judejskoga kralja Jotama i za vremena izraelskoga kralja Jeroboama.
All these were rekoned by genealogies in the dayes of Iotham King of Iudah, and in the dayes of Ieroboam King of Israel.
18 Rubenovih i Gadovih sinova, i polovine Manašeova plemena, hrabrih junaka koji su nosili štit i mač te zapinjali luk i bili vješti boju, bijaše četrdeset tisuća sedam stotina i šezdeset vojnika.
The sonnes of Reuben and of Gad, and of halfe the tribe of Manasseh of those that were viliant men, able to beare shield, and sworde, and to draw a bowe, exercised in warre, were foure and fourtie thousand, seuen hundreth and three score, that went out to the warre.
19 Ratovali su protiv Hagrijaca, Iturejaca, Nafišejaca i Nodabejaca.
And they made warre with the Hagarims, with Ietur, and Naphish, and Nodab.
20 U boju su zavapili k Bogu i on ih je uslišao jer su se pouzdali u nj: potpomognuti su protiv neprijatelja te su im predani u ruke Hagrijci sa svim njihovim saveznicima.
And they were holpen against them, and the Hagarims were deliuered into their hande, and all that were with them: for they cryed to God in the battel, and he heard them, because they trusted in him.
21 Zaplijenili su njihovu stoku - pedeset tisuća deva, dvije stotine i pedeset tisuća ovaca i koza i dvije tisuće magaraca - i odveli u ropstvo sto tisuća ljudi.
And they led away their cattel, euen their camels fiftie thousand, and two hundreth, and fiftie thousand sheepe, and two thousand asses, and of persons an hundreth thousand.
22 Pobijenih je mnogo palo, jer je taj boj bio od Boga; onda se naseliše na njihovo mjesto do sužanjstva.
For many fel downe wounded, because the warre was of God. And they dwelt in their steads vntill the captiuitie.
23 Sinovi polovine Manašeova plemena nastanili su se u toj zemlji od Bašana do Baal Hermona i Šenira i do Hermonske gore. I bijahu se umnožili.
And the children of the halfe tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land, from Baashan vnto Baal Hermon, and Senir, and vnto mount Hermon: for they increased.
24 Ovo su bili poglavari njihovih rodova: Efer, Jiši, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremija, Hodavja i Jahdiel, hrabri junaci i ugledni muževi: poglavari u svojim rodovima.
And these were the heads of the housholds of their fathers, euen Epher and Ishi, and Eliel and Azriel, and Ieremiah, and Hodauiah, and Iahdiel, strong men, valiant and famous, heades of the housholdes of their fathers.
25 Ali kad su se iznevjerili Bogu svojih otaca i odali se preljubu s bogovima naroda one zemlje koje je Bog iskorijenio pred njima,
But they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the lande, whome God had destroyed before them.
26 probudio je Izraelov Bog neprijateljstvo asirskoga kralja Pula i neprijateljstvo asirskoga kralja Tiglat Pilesera. Oni su odveli u sužanjstvo Rubenovo i Gadovo pleme i polovinu Manašeova plemena. Doveli su ih u Helah, Habor i Haru i na Gozansku rijeku do današnjega dana.
And the God of Israel stirred vp the spirit of Pul king of Asshur, and the spirite of Tilgath Pilneeser king of Asshur, and he caryed them away: euen the Reubenites and the Gadites, and the halfe tribe of Manasseh, and brought them vnto Halah and Habor, and Hara, and to the riuer Gozan, vnto this day.
