1 Evo Izraelovih sinova: Ruben, Šimun, Levi, Juda, Jisakar i Zebulun,
These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,
2 Dan, Josip i Benjamin, Naftali, Gad i Ašer.
Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
3 Judini sinovi: Er, Onan i Šela. Ta mu je tri rodila Kanaanka, Šuina kći. Ali Er, Judin prvenac, bijaše nevaljao u Jahvinim očima i Jahve ga pogubi.
The sons of Judah: 'Er, and Onan, and Shelah, the three [who] were born unto him of the daughter of Shua' the Canaanitess. And 'Er, the first-born of Judah, was evil in the eyes of the Lord: and he slew him.
4 Njegova nevjesta Tamara rodi mu Peresa i Zeraha. U svemu je bilo pet Judinih sinova.
And Thamar his daughter-in-law bore unto him Perez and Zerach. All the sons of Judah were five.
5 Peresovi su sinovi bili: Hesron i Hamul.
The sons of Perez: Chezron and Chamul.
6 Zerahovi su sinovi bili: Zimri, Etan, Heman, Kalkol i Dara; u svemu pet.
And the sons of Zerach: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara'; all of them five.
7 Karmijevi su sinovi bili: Akar, koji je nanio zlo Izraelu prekršivši kletvu.
And the sons of Carmi: 'Achar the troubler of Israel, who trespassed against the devoted things.
8 A sinovi Etanovi: Azarja.
And the sons of Ethan: 'Azaryah.
9 Hesronovi sinovi koji mu se rodiše bijahu: Jerahmeel, Ram i Kelubaj.
And the sons of Chezron, that were born unto him: Jerachmeel, and Ram, and Kelubai.
10 Ram rodi Aminadaba, a Aminadab rodi Nahšona, kneza Judinih sinova.
And Ram begat 'Amminadab, and 'Amminadab begat Nachshon, the prince of the children of Judah;
11 Nahšon rodi Salmu, Salma rodi Boaza.
And Nachshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Bo'az,
12 Boaz rodi Obeda, Obed rodi Jišaja.
And Bo'az begat 'Obed, and 'Obed begat Jesse,
13 Jišaj rodi prvenca Eliaba, drugog Abinadaba, trećeg Šimu,
And Ishai begat his first-born Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shim'a the third,
14 četvrtog Netanela, petog Radaja,
Nathanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,
15 šestog Osema, sedmoga Davida.
Ozem the sixth, David the seventh;
16 Sestre im: Sarviju i Abigajilu. Sarvijini su sinovi bili: Abišaj, Joab, Asahel, trojica.
And their sisters were Zeruyah, and Abigayil. And the sons of Zeruyah: Abshai, and Joab, and 'Assahel, three.
17 Abigajila je rodila Amasu, Amasin je otac bio Jišmaelac Jeter.
And Abigayil bore 'Amassa: and the father of 'Amassa was Jether the Ishme'elite.
18 Hesronov sin Kaleb imao je sa ženom Azubom i s Jeriotom sinove, a sinovi su mu bili: Ješer, Šobab i Ardon.
And Caleb the son of Chezron begat [children] of 'Azubah his wife, and of Jeri'oth; and these are her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.
19 Kad je umrla Azuba, uze Kaleb za ženu Efratu i ona mu rodi Hura.
And 'Azubah died, when Caleb took unto himself Ephrath, who bore unto him Chur.
20 Hur rodi Urija, a Uri rodi Besalelu.
And Chur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezalel.
21 Potom Hesron uze kćer Makira, oca Gileadova; uzeo ju je za ženu kad mu je bilo šezdeset godina i ona mu rodi Seguba.
And afterward came Chezron to the daughter of Machir the father of Gil'ad, and he took her [for wife] when he was sixty years old: and she bore unto him Segub.
22 Segub rodi Jaira, koji je imao dvadeset i tri grada u gileadskoj zemlji.
And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gil'ad.
23 Ali su Gešurci i Aramejci osvojili od njih Jairova Sela, Kenat sa selima, šezdeset gradova. To su sve osvojili sinovi Makira, oca Gileadova.
But Geshur and Aram took the small towns of Jair from them, with Kenath, and the villages thereof, even sixty cities. All these [belonged to] the sons of Machir the father of Gil'ad.
24 Kad je umro Hesron u Kaleb Efrati, Hesronova žena Abija rodi mu Ašhura, oca Tekoina.
And after Chezron was dead in Calebephratah, then bore Chezron's wife Abiyah unto him Ashchur the father of Thekoa'.
25 Sinovi Jerahmeela, Hesronova prvenca, bili su: prvenac Ram, pa Buna, Oren, Osem i Ahija.
And the sons of Jerachmeel the first-born of Chezron were, Ram the first-born, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Achiyah.
26 Jerahmeel je imao i drugu ženu, zvala se Atara, koja je bila Onamova majka.
Yerachmeel had also another wife, whose name was 'Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
27 Sinovi Rama, Jerahmeelova prvenca, bili su Maas, Jamin i Eker.
And the sons of Ram the first-born of Jerachmeel were, Ma'az, and Jamin, and 'Eker.
28 Onamovi su sinovi bili: Šamaj i Jada; Šamajevi sinovi: Nadab i Abišur.
And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada'. And the sons of Shammai: Nadab, and Abishur.
29 Abišurova se žena zvala Abihajla, koja mu rodi Ahbana i Molida.
And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abichayil, and she bore unto him Achban, and Molid.
30 Nadabovi su sinovi bili: Seled i Afajim, ali je Seled umro bez djece.
And the sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appayim; and Seled died without children.
31 Sinovi su Afajimovi bili: Jiši; Jišijevi sinovi: Šešan; Šešanov sin Ahlaj.
And the sons of Appayim: Yish'i. And the sons of Yish'i: Sheshan. And the sons of Sheshan: Achlai.
32 Sinovi Jade, brata Šamajeva, bili su: Jeter i Jonatan; ali je Jeter umro bez djece.
And the sons of Jada' the brother of Shammai: Jether, and Jonathan; and Jether died without children.
33 Jonatanovi su sinovi bili: Pelet i Zaza. To su bili Jerahmeelovi sinovi.
And the sons of Jonathan: Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerachmeel.
34 Šešan nije imao sinova, nego kćeri; ali je Šešan imao slugu Egipćanina po imenu Jarhu.
Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarcha'.
35 Zato je Šešan dao kćer sluzi Jarhi za ženu i ona mu rodi Ataja.
And Sheshan gave his daughter unto Jarcha' his servant for wife: and she bore unto him 'Attai.
36 Ataj rodi Natana, Natan rodi Zabada.
And 'Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad.
37 Zabad rodi Eflala, Eflal rodi Obeda;
And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat 'Obed.
38 Obed rodi Jehua, Jehu rodi Azarju,
And 'Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat 'Azaryah,
39 Azarja rodi Helesa, Heles rodi Elasu;
And 'Azaryah begat Chelez, and Chelez begat El'assah,
40 Elasa rodi Sismaja, Sismaj rodi Šaluma,
And El'assah begat Sissmai, and Sissmai begat Shallum.
41 Šalum rodi Jekamju, Jekamja rodi Elišamu.
And Shallum begat Jekamyah, and Jekamyah begat Elishama'.
42 Sinovi Kaleba, Jerahmeelova brata, bili su: njegov prvenac Meša, otac Zifov; sinovi oca Mareše bili su: Hebron.
Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerachmeel were, Mesha', his first-born, who was the father of Ziph, and of the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.
43 Hebronovi sinovi Korah, Tapuah, Rekem i Šema.
And the sons of Hebron: Korach, and Thappuach, and Rekem, and Shema'.
44 Šema rodi Rahama, oca Jorkoamova, a Rekem rodi Šamaja.
And Shema' begat Racham, the father of Jorke'am; and Rekem begat Shammai.
45 Šamajev je sin bio Maon, a Maon je bio otac Bet-Sarov.
And the son of Shammai was Ma'on; and Ma'on was the father of Beth-zur.
46 Efa, Kalebova inoča, rodila je Harana, Mosu i Gazeza; Haran je rodio Gazeza.
And 'Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Charan, and Moza, and Gazez; and Charan begat Gazez.
47 Johdajevi su sinovi bili: Regem, Jotam, Gešan, Felet, Efa i Šaaf.
And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Gesham, and Pelet, and 'Ephah, and Sha'aph.
48 Maaka, Kalebova inoča, rodila je Šebera i Tirhanu.
Ma'achah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber, and Tirchanah.
49 Rodila je Šaafa, oca Madmanina, Ševu, oca Makbenina, i oca Gibina; a Kalebova je kći bila Aksa.
She bore also! Sha'aph the father of Madmannah. Sheva the father of Machbena, and the father of Gib'a: ! and the daughter of Caleb was 'Achsah.
50 To su bili sinovi Kalebovi. A sinovi Hura, Efratina prvenca: Šobal, otac Kirjat Jearimov,
These were the sons of Caleb: Benchur, the first-born of Ephratah, Shobal the father of Kiryath-ye'arim,
51 Salma, otac Betlehemov, i Haref, otac Bet-Gaderov.
Salma the father of Beth-lechem, Chareph the father of Beth-gader.
52 A sinovi Šobala, oca Kirjat Jearimova: Reaja, polovica Manahaćana.
And Shobal the father of Kir'yath-ye'arim had sons: Haroeh, and Chazi-hammenuchoth.
53 Kirjatjearimske su porodice bile: Jitrani, Pućani, Šumaćani i Mišrani; od njih su potekli Soraćani i Eštaoljani.
And the families of Kir'yath-ye'arim are the Yithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishra'ites: from these came the Zor'athites, and the Eshthaulites.
54 Salmini su sinovi: Betlehem, Netofaćani, Atrot, Bet Joab i polovina Manahaćana, Saraćani.
The sons of Salma: Beth-lechem, and the Netophathites, 'Ataroth of the house of Joab, and Chazi-hammanachthi, the Zor'ite.
55 Književničke obitelji koje su živjele u Jabesu bile su: Tiraćani, Simeaćani, Sukaćani. To su Kinejci koji su potekli od Hamata, oca Rekabova doma.
And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez: the Thirathites, the Shim'athites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came from Chammath, the father of the house of Rechab.
