ⳘⲀⲦⲐⲈⲞⲚ 24
Jesus having gone out departed from the temple, and His disciples came to Him to show Him the buildings of the temple.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲛⲁⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ. ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ. ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲩⲕⲁⲟⲩⲱⲛⲉ ϩⲓϫⲛⲟⲩⲱⲛⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲙⲁ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲃⲟⲗϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
And responding, He said to them, Do you not see all these? Truly, I say unto you, that stone may not be left here upon stone, which shall not be thrown down.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲉϥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ϩⲓϫⲙⲡⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲧ. ⲁⲩϯⲡⲉⲩⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛϭⲓⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲥⲁⲟⲩ(ⲥ)ⲁ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲁϫⲓⲥ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲧⲛⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲡⲁⲣⲣⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲙⲛⲧⲥⲩⲛⲧⲉⲗⲉⲓⲁ ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲱⲛ. (aiōn g165)
And He sitting upon the Mount of Olives; the disciples came to Him privately, saying, Tell us, when these things shall be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming and the end of the age? (aiōn g165)
And Jesus responding said to them, See, lest any one may deceive you.
For many will come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and they will deceive many.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲉⲛⲡⲟⲗⲉⲙⲟⲥ ⲙⲛϩⲉⲛϩⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲟⲗⲉⲙⲟⲥ. ϭⲱϣⲧ ⲙⲡⲣϣⲧⲟⲣⲧⲣ. ϩⲁⲡⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩϣⲱⲡⲉ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲙⲡⲁⲧⲉⲑⲁⲏ ⲉⲓ.
And you will be about to hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you are not disturbed: for it behooveth all these things to be, but the end is not yet.
7 ⲍ̅ ⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲁⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϫⲛⲟⲩϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲉϫⲛⲟⲩⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ. ⲛⲥⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛϭⲓϩⲉⲛϩⲉⲃⲱⲱⲛ ⲙⲛϩⲉⲛⲕⲙⲧⲟ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲙⲁ.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers places.
And all these things are the beginning of travails.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲇⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲩⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ. ⲛⲥⲉⲙⲟⲩⲟⲩⲧ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲥⲧⲉ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ.
Then they will deliver you into tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations on account of my name,
and then many will be offended; and they will betray one another, and hate one another.
And many false prophets will arise and deceive many.
And because iniquity doth abound, the divine love of many will grow cold.
But the one persevering to the end, the same shall be saved.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲥⲉⲧⲁϣⲉⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛⲧⲟⲓⲕⲟⲩⲙⲉⲛⲏ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ. ⲉⲩⲙⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ. ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲛϭⲓⲑⲁⲏ.
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations; and then the end shall come.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ϩⲟⲧⲁⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲁⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲡϣⲱϥ. ⲧⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲓⲧⲛⲇⲁⲛⲓⲏⲗ ⲡⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉⲥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧⲥ ϩⲙⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ. ⲡⲉⲧⲱϣ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲛⲟⲓ.
Then when you may see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him that readeth know),
then let those who are in Judea fly to the mountains:
and let him who is on the housetop not come down to take things out of his house:
and let not the one in the field turn back to take his garment.
But alas unto those who are in gestation and nursing in those days.
But pray that your flight may not be in the winter, nor on the Sabbath.
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲥⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲡⲉⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛϭⲓⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲥϩⲉ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϫⲓⲛⲧⲉϩⲟⲩⲉⲓⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ϣⲁⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ. ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ.
For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world even until now nor ever may be.
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲥⲁⲃⲏⲗ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲥⲃⲟⲕ ⲛϭⲓⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲁⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲛϭⲓⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲛⲓⲙ. ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲡ ⲇⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲥⲃⲟⲕ ⲛϭⲓⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ.
And if those days were not shortened, no life would be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
Then if any one may say to you, Lo, here is Christ, or, there: believe him not:
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛϭⲓϩⲁϩ ⲛⲭⲣⲏⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲙⲛϩⲉⲛⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲛⲟⲩϫ. ⲛⲥⲉϯ ⲛϩⲛⲛⲟϭ ⲙⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲙⲛϩⲉⲛϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲉϣϫⲉⲟⲩⲛϣϭⲟⲙ ⲉⲡⲗⲁⲛⲁ ⲛⲛⲁⲕⲉⲥⲱⲧⲡ.
for false Christs and false prophets will rise up, and give great signs and wonders; so as to deceive even the elect, if possible.
Behold, I have foretold you.
Therefore if they may say to you, Behold, He is in the desert; go not out: Behold, He is in the secret chambers; believe them not.
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲣⲏϭⲉ ⲛϣⲁⲥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛⲛⲉⲙⲁ ⲛϣⲁ ⲛⲥⲣⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ϣⲁⲛⲙⲁ ⲛϩⲱⲧⲡ. ⲧⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲡⲁⲣⲣⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲙⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ.
For as the lightning comes from the east, and shines even unto the west; so also shall the coming of the Son of man be.
For where the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁⲧⲉⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ ⲛⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲣⲏ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲕⲁⲕⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲟⲟϩ ⲛⲁϯ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ. ⲛⲥⲓⲟⲩ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϩⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛⲧⲡⲉ. ⲛϭⲟⲙ ⲛⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲛⲟⲉⲓⲛ.
And immediately, after the desolation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from the heavens, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
30 ⲗ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ϥⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϭⲓⲡⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲙⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛⲧⲡⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϭⲓⲛⲉⲫⲩⲗⲏ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲕⲁϩ. ⲛⲥⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲩ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛⲛⲉⲕⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ ⲛⲧⲡⲉ ⲙⲛⲟⲩϭⲟⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲱϥ.
And then the sign of the Son of man will appear in the heaven: and all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and will see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and much glory.
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛϥϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲙⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛϩⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲅⲝ. ⲛⲥⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩϩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲥⲱⲧⲡ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙⲡⲉϥⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲏⲩ. ⲁⲩⲱ ϫⲓⲛⲉⲁⲣⲏϫϥ ⲛⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ ϣⲁⲁⲣⲏϫⲛⲟⲩ.
And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet, and they will gather His elect out of the four winds, from the extremities of the heavens, unto the extremities of the same.
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲇⲉ ϩⲛⲧⲃⲱ ⲛⲕⲛⲧⲉ ⲉⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲧⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ. ⲛⲑⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛⲡⲉⲥⲕⲗⲁⲇⲟⲥ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉϥⲗⲏⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲉⲥϭⲱⲃⲉ ϯⲟⲩⲱ ϣⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁϥϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϭⲓⲡϣⲏⲙ.
But learn the parable from the fig-tree: when her branch may now be tender, and she may grow out leaves, know that the summer is nigh.
So you also, when you may see all these things know that it is at the doors.
Truly I say unto you, This race may not pass away until all these things may be fulfilled.
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words can not pass away.
Concerning that day or hour no one knows, neither the angels of the heavens, except my Father only.
But as were the days of Noah, so indeed shall be the coming of the Son of man.
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲛⲉⲩϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϩⲛⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ϩⲁⲑⲏ ⲙⲡⲕⲁⲧⲁⲕⲗⲩⲥⲙⲟⲥ. ⲉⲩⲟⲩⲱⲙ. ⲉⲩⲥⲱ. ⲉⲩϫⲓϩⲓⲙⲉ. ⲉⲩϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲙⲛϩⲁⲓ. ϣⲁⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲁⲛⲱϩⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲕⲓⲃⲱⲧⲟⲥ.
For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day on which Noah entered into the ark,
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲉⲓⲙⲉ ϣⲁⲛⲧⲉϥⲉⲓ ⲛϭⲓⲡⲕⲁⲧⲁⲕⲗⲩⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲛϥϥⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ. ⲧⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲥⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛϭⲓⲧⲡⲁⲣⲣⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲙⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ.
and they did not know until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.
Then two men shall be in the field; one is taken, and one is left.
Two women will be grinding at the mill; one is taken, and one is left.
Watch therefore: because you do not know on what day your Lord cometh.
43 ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲙⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲡⲁⲓ. ϫⲉ ⲉⲛⲉϥⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϭⲓⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲏⲓ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲣⲉϥϫⲓⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲏⲩ ⲛⲁϣ ⲛⲟⲩⲏⲣϣⲉ. ⲛⲉϥⲛⲁⲣⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲛϥⲧⲙⲕⲁⲁⲩ ⲉϭⲱⲧϩ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ.
But know this, that if the landlord knew at what watch the thief cometh, he would have watched, and would not have permitted his house to be broken into.
Therefore be ye also ready: because the Son of man cometh in an hour at which you do not think.
45 ⲙ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲁⲣⲁ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲛϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲥⲁⲃⲉ. ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁⲡⲉϥϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲕⲁⲑⲓⲥⲧⲁ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛⲛⲉϥϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲉϯ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲧⲉϩⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲥⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ.
Then who is the faithful and wise servant, whom the lord placed over his household to give them their food in season?
Happy is that servant whom, his lord having come, will find so doing.
Truly I say unto you, that he will appoint him over all his possessions.
But if the wicked servant may say in his heart,
My lord delayeth; and may begin to smite his fellow-servants, and eat and drink with the drunken;
the lord of that servant will come in a day in which he does not expect, and an hour in which he does not know,
and he will cut him off, and will appoint his part with hypocrites: and there shall be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.
