ⳘⲀⲢⲔⲞⲚ 12
1 ⲁ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲁⲣⲭⲉⲓ ⲛ̅ϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϩⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϥⲧⲱϭⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ. ⲁϥⲕⲧⲟ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩϫⲟ ⲁϥϣⲁⲕⲧⲟⲩⲉⲓⲟⲙ ϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧϥ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲕⲱⲧ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲡⲩⲣⲅⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛϭⲙⲏⲟⲩ ⲁϥⲁⲡⲟⲇⲏⲙⲉⲓ
And He began to speak to them in parables. A man planted a vineyard, and placed a hedge round it, and dug a wine-trough; and built a tower, and he gave it out to husbandmen, and went away.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϫⲉⲩⲟⲩϩⲙ̅ϩⲁⲗ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉϭⲙⲏⲟⲩ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲕⲁⲓⲣⲟⲥ ⲛⲛ̅ⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉϫⲓ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉϭⲙⲏⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲛ̅ⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ.
And he sent a servant to the husbandmen in the season, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard:
and they taking him, beat him, and sent him away empty.
And again he sent to them another servant; and stoning him they wounded him in the head, and sent him away dishonored.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲁϥϫⲉⲩⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲕⲉⲧ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧϥ̅. ⲙⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϩⲟⲓ̈ⲛⲉ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲉⲩϩⲓⲟⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ. ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ.
And again he sent another; and they slew him, and many others beating some, killing others.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲉⲧⲓ ⲛⲉⲩⲛ̅ⲧϥ̅ⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩϥ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ. ⲙⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϣⲓⲡⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲁϣⲏⲣⲉ.
Then having still one son, his own beloved, he sent him also to them last, saying; That they will reverence my son.
7 ⲍ̅ ⲛⲉϭⲙⲏⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙ̅ⲛⲉⲩⲉⲣⲏⲩ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ. ⲁⲙⲏⲓ̈ⲧⲛ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲛ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧϥ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ ⲛⲁⲣⲧⲱⲛ.
And those husbandmen said to one another; This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.
And taking him they slew him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
What then shall the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the husbandmen, and give the vineyard to others.
Have you not read the Scripture; The stone which the builders rejected, the same has come to be the head of the corner:
this was with the Lord, and is wonderful in our eyes?
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲣ̅ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ. ⲁⲩⲉⲓⲙⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϥϫⲉⲧⲉⲓ̈ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧⲟⲩ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲕⲁⲁϥ ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ
And they were seeking to arrest Him; and they feared the multitude; for they knew that He spoke the parable against them. And leaving Him they went away.
And they send to Him certain ones of the Pharisees and Herodians, that they may catch Him with speech.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩϯⲡⲉⲩⲟⲩⲟⲉ͡ⲓ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲥⲁϩ ⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ̅ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲕ̅ⲟⲩⲣⲙ̅ ⲙ̅ⲙⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲅ̅ϩⲏϭⲉ ⲁⲛ ϩⲏⲧϥ̅ ⲗ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲅ̅ϫⲓϩⲟ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲛ ⲣ̅ⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲙⲉ ⲉⲕϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲝⲉⲥⲧⲓ ⲉϯⲕⲏⲛⲥⲟⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲣⲟ ϫⲛ̅ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲛ ⲧⲁⲣⲛ̅ϯ ϫⲛ̅ⲙ̅ⲡⲱⲣ.
And they having come, say to Him, Teacher, we know that thou art true, and there is not a care to thee for any one: for thou dost not look into the face of men, but thou dost teach the way of God in truth: is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not? must we give, or must we not give?
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲩϩⲩⲡⲟⲕⲣⲓⲥⲓⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲡⲓⲣⲁⲍⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲓ̈ ⲁⲛⲓⲟⲩⲥⲁⲧⲉⲉⲣⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓ̈ⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ.
And knowing their hypocrisy, He said to them, Why tempt ye me? Bring to me the denarion, that I may see it.
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲥⲟⲩⲧⲱⲛⲥ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲁⲛⲓⲙ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲉⲉⲓϩⲓⲕⲱⲛ ⲛⲙ̅ⲛⲉⲓ̈ⲥϩⲁⲓ̈. ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲁⲡⲣ̅ⲣⲟ ⲧⲉ.
And they brought it. And He says to them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they say to Him, Caesar's.
And Jesus responding said to them, Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and unto God the things which are God's. And they were astonished at Him.
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲩⲉ͡ⲓ ⲇⲉ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛ̅ⲥⲁⲇⲇⲟⲩⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲧϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲁⲛⲁⲥⲧⲁⲥⲓⲥ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩϫⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ
And the Sadducees come to Him, who say there is no resurrection; and asked Him, saying;
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ϫⲉ ⲡⲥⲁϩ ⲙⲱⲩ̈ⲥⲏⲥ ⲁϥⲥϩⲁⲓ̈ ⲛⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛⲡⲥⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲙⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥ̅ⲕⲁⲧⲉϥⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲛϥ̅ⲧⲙ̅ⲕⲁϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉϥⲥⲟⲛ ϫⲓⲧⲉϥⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲛ̅ϥⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥⲥⲡⲉⲣⲙⲁ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥⲥⲟⲛ.
Teacher, Moses wrote to us, That if the brother of any man may die, and leave a wife and have no children, that his brother must take his wife and raise up seed to his brother.
There were seven brothers, and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
And the second received her and died, and he left no seed; and the third likewise.
And the seven received her and left no seed. Last of all the woman also died.
Then in the resurrection, when they may rise, of which one of them shall she be the wife? for the seven had her a wife.
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲁⲛ ϭⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲡⲗⲁⲛⲁ ⲉⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲧϭⲟⲙ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
And Jesus responding, said to them; Therefore do you not err, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God?
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲉⲩϣⲁⲛⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉⲛⲁϫⲓϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲁⲛ. ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉⲛⲁϫⲓϩⲁⲓ̈ ⲁⲛ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲩⲛⲁϭⲱ ⲛ̅ⲑⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲧϩⲛ̅ⲙ̅ⲡⲏⲩⲉ.
For when they may rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage; but they are as angels in the heavens.
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ. ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲱϣ ϩⲙ̅ⲡϫⲱⲱⲙⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲩ̈ⲥⲏⲥ ⲛ̅ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϩⲓⲡⲃⲁⲧⲟⲥ. ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲁⲃⲣⲁϩⲁⲙ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲓ̈ⲥⲁⲁⲕ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲓ̈ⲁⲕⲱⲃ.
But concerning the dead, that they are raised, have you not read in the book of Moses at the Bush, how God spoke to him saying; I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You do err much.
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϯⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲟⲩⲁ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉⲩⲥ ⲉⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϯⲧⲱⲛ ⲉϥⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲣ̅ⲟⲩⲱ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲕⲁⲗⲱⲥ. ⲁϥϫⲛⲟⲩϥ ϫⲉ ⲁϣ ⲧⲉ ⲧϣⲟⲣⲡ̅ ⲛ̅ⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ.
And a certain one of the scribes, hearing them propounding questions, knowing that He answered them beautifully, asked Him, What is the first commandment of all?
And Jesus responded to him, The first commandment of all; Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God, is one Lord:
30 ⲗ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲕⲉⲙⲉⲣⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲕϩⲏⲧ ⲧⲏⲣϥ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲕⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲕⲙⲉⲩⲉ ⲧⲏⲣϥ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲕϭⲟⲙ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ̅.
and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. This is the first commandment.
And the second is like unto it; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is no other commandment greater than these.
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲡⲉⲅⲣⲁⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉⲩⲥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲁⲗⲱⲥ ⲡⲥⲁϩ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲙⲉ ⲁⲕϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲛ̅ϭⲉ ⲃ̅ⲃⲗ̅ⲗⲁϥ.
And the scribes said to Him, Truly, Teacher; thou hast spoken in truth that He is One; and there is no other besides Him.
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧϥ̅ ϩⲙ̅ⲡϩⲏⲧ ⲧⲏⲣϥ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲣⲙ̅ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲕϭⲟⲙ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲙⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲧϩⲓⲧⲟⲩⲱϥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉϥϩⲉ ⲟⲩϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲛⲟⲗⲟⲕⲁⲩⲧⲱⲙⲁ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁ.
And love Him with all the heart, and with all the mind, and with all the strength, and to love thy neighbor as thyself is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲣ̅ⲟⲩⲱ ϩⲁⲣⲱϥ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲙⲛⲧ̅ⲣⲙ̅ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲏⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϣⲗⲁⲁⲩ ϭⲉ ⲧⲟⲗⲙⲁ ⲉϫⲛⲟⲩϥ·
And Jesus seeing that he answered intelligently, said to him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no one dared to ask Him any more,
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉϥϯⲥⲃⲱ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲁϣ ⲛ̅ϩⲉ ⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉⲩⲥ ⲥⲉϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛ̅ⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ⲡⲉ.
And Jesus responding spoke, teaching in the temple, How do the scribes say that Christ is the son of David?
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲁϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲛ̅ⲥⲁⲟⲩⲛⲁⲙ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲓ̈ ϣⲁⲛϯⲕⲱ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲕϫⲁϫⲉⲉⲩ ϩⲁⲛⲉⲕⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ.
For David himself said in the Holy Spirit, the Lord said unto my Lord; Sit thou on my right hand, until I may make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet!
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲁϣ ⲛ̅ϩⲉ ⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲡⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲧⲏⲣϥ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲕⲁⲗⲱⲥ
Then David himself calls Him Lord; and whence is He his son? And the great multitude were hearing Him delightfully.
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲉϥⲥⲃⲱ. ϫⲉ ϯϩⲧⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ϩⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛⲥⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲩⲉϣⲛ̅ⲁⲥⲡⲁⲥⲙⲟⲥ ϩⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲁⲅⲟⲣⲁ
And He said to them in His teaching, Beware of the scribes, wishing to walk about in robes, and salutations in the forums,
and the first seats in the synagogues, and the first couches at the suppers.
They are those devouring the houses of widows, and making long prayers through pretext; they shall receive the greater judgment.
41 ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̅ⲡⲅⲁⲍⲟⲫⲩⲗⲁⲕⲓⲟⲛ. ⲁϥϯϩⲧⲏϥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲛⲉϫϩⲟⲙⲛ̅ⲧ ⲛ̅ⲁϣ ⲛ̅ϩⲉ ⲉⲡⲅⲁⲍⲟⲫⲩⲗⲁⲕⲓⲟⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲛ̅ⲣⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲟ ⲛⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩϫϩⲁϩ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲣⲟϥ.
And He sitting in front of the treasury, was seeing how the multitudes are casting their money into the treasury. And many rich people were casting in much.
And one poor widow was casting in two mites, which is a farthing.
43 ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ. ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲓ̈ⲭⲏⲣⲁ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲕⲉ ⲁⲥⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲉⲡⲅⲁⲍⲟⲫⲩⲗⲁⲕⲓⲟⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲉⲛⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ.
And calling His disciples to Him, He says to them, Truly I say unto you, That this poor widow has cast in more than all those casting into the treasury.
44 ⲙ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲩⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛⲁⲩ. ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲥϣⲱⲱⲧ ⲡⲉⲥⲃⲓⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ̅ ⲉⲧⲉⲩⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲥϥ̅ ⲁⲥⲧⲁⲁϥ.
For all they of that which abounds unto them cast in; but she of her scarcity cast in all things so many as she had, all her living.
