1 ⲁ̅ ⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉϣⲁⲩⲕⲁⲑⲓⲥⲧⲁ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲉϫⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲁϩⲣⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ. ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉⲧⲁⲗⲉⲇⲱⲣⲟⲛ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ϩⲓⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲃⲉ.
Now every high priest taken from among men is appointed to act on behalf of men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins,
2 ⲃ̅ ⲉⲩⲛ̅ϭⲟⲙ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲉϣⲡ̅ϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲟ ⲛ̅ⲁⲧⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ. ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲡⲗⲁⲛⲁ. ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲱⲱϥ ϫⲉ ϥϣⲟⲟⲡ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲙⲛ̅ⲧϭⲱⲃ.
being able to deal gently with those who sin in ignorance and go astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧⲥ̅ ϣ̅ϣⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲑⲉ ⲉϣⲁϥⲧⲁⲗⲟ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ϩⲁⲡⲗⲁⲟⲥ. ⲛϥ̅ⲧⲁⲗⲟ ϩⲱⲱϥ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲉⲓϩⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲉϥⲛⲟⲃⲉ·
Because of this he must offer sacrifices for his own sins as well, just as he does for the people's.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ϫⲓ ⲛⲁϥ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲧⲁⲉⲓⲟ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲩⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ. ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲑⲉ ⲛ̅ⲁⲁⲣⲱⲛ.
Also, no one receives this honor on his own, but upon being called by God, just like Aaron.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅. ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϥϯⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ⲟⲩⲁⲁϥ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙ̅ⲙⲁϥ ⲡⲉ. ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲁⲓ̈ϫⲡⲟⲕ ⲙ̅ⲡⲟⲟⲩ.
So also Christ did not exalt Himself to become High Priest, but it was He[F] who said to Him[S], “You are my Son; today I have begotten You.”
6 ⲋ̅ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲑⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲉϣⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲛ̅ⲕⲉⲙⲁ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲏⲏⲃ ϣⲁⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲧⲧⲁⲝⲓⲥ ⲙ̅ⲙⲉⲗⲭⲓⲥⲉⲇⲉⲕ. (aiōn g165)
Just as He[F] also says in another place, “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn g165)
7 ⲍ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉϥⲥⲁⲣⲝ̅ ⲁϥϫⲓⲥⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛⲥⲟⲡⲥ̅ ⲙⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛⲕⲱⲣϣ̅ ⲛ̅ⲛⲁϩⲣⲛ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲟⲩⲛ̅ϭⲟⲙ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲧⲟⲩϫⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲙⲟⲩ. ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛ̅ⲁϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲙⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛⲣⲙ̅ⲉⲓⲏ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛⲧ(ϩ)ⲟⲧⲉ.
He[S], in the days of His flesh, having offered up both prayers and supplications, with a loud cry and tears, to the One who was able to save Him from death, and having been answered because of His godly fear,
8 ⲏ̅ ⲕⲁⲓⲡⲉⲣ ⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲁϥⲥⲃⲱ ⲉⲡⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁϥϣⲟⲡⲟⲩ.
although being SON, He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲁϥϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲛ̅ⲥⲱϥ ⲛ̅ⲁⲓⲧⲓⲟⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲩϫⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ϣⲁⲉⲛⲉϩ. (aiōnios g166)
And having been completed He became the Source of eternal salvation for all those obeying Him, (aiōnios g166)
10 ⲓ̅ ⲉⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲧⲧⲁⲝⲓⲥ ⲙ̅ⲙⲉⲗⲭⲓⲥⲉⲇⲉⲕ.
having been designated by God as High Priest ‘according to the order of Melchizedek’;
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲟϣ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲉϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲙⲟⲕϩ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗϥ̅. ⲉⲧⲃⲉϫⲉⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲟⲟⲛⲉ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲙⲁⲁϫⲉ.
concerning whom we have much to say, but it is hard to explain, since you have become sluggish in hearing.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲕⲁⲓⲅⲁⲣ ⲉϣϣⲉ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲣ̅ⲥⲁϩ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲡⲉⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ. ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲣ̅ⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅. ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲉⲥⲧⲟⲓⲭⲓⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲣⲭⲏ ⲛ̅ⲛ̅ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲣ̅ⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲉⲣⲱⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩϩⲣⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲥϫⲟⲟⲣ.
Really, because although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary principles of God's oracles all over again; you have come to the point of needing milk, not solid food!
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧϫⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲣⲱⲧⲉ. ⲟⲩⲁⲧⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ. ⲟⲩⲕⲟⲩⲓ̈ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ.
Surely; whoever lives on milk is an infant, and therefore unskilled in the Word of righteousness.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲧⲁⲛⲓⲧⲉⲗⲓⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲉϩⲣⲉ ⲉⲧϫⲟⲟⲣ. ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲑⲉⲝⲓⲥ ⲉⲩⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲩⲁⲓⲥⲑⲏⲧⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲉⲩⲅⲩⲙⲛⲁⲍⲉ ⲉⲇⲓⲁⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲏⲧⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲙⲛ̅ⲡⲡⲉⲑⲟⲟⲩ·
On the other hand, solid food is for the mature, those who by habitual use have trained their senses to distinguish good from bad.
