1 ⲁ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϩⲧⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲁⲩϫⲓϣⲟϫⲛⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲗⲁⲟⲥ ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲉⲙⲟⲩⲟⲩⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
Now early in the morning (Nissan 14), all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Yeshua [Salvation] to put him to death:
2 ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲣϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲛⲧϥ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲙⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲡϩⲏⲅⲉⲙⲱⲛ
and they bound him, and led him away, and delivered him up to Pontius Pilate [Armed with javelin], the governor.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲥ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲇⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲧϭⲁⲓⲟϥ ⲁϥⲣϩⲧⲏϥ ⲁϥⲕⲧⲟ ⲙⲡⲙⲁⲁⲃ ⲛϩⲁⲧ ⲛⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ
Then Judas [Praised], who betrayed him, when he saw that Yeshua [Salvation] was condemned, felt remorse ·to care afterwards, regret into repent·, and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
4 ⲇ̅ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲓⲣⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲓϯ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲛⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲁⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲣⲱϣⲉ
saying, “I have committed sin ·missed the mark and being without share· in that I betrayed innocent blood.” But they said, “What is that to us? You see to it.”
5 ⲉ̅ ⲁϥⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲛⲛϩⲁⲧ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲣⲡⲉ ⲁϥⲁⲛⲁⲭⲱⲣⲉⲓ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲁϥⲟϭⲧϥ
He threw down the pieces of silver in the sanctuary, and departed. He went away and hanged himself.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲛⲛϩⲁⲧ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲕ ⲉⲝⲉⲥⲧⲉⲓ ⲉⲛⲟϫⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲕⲟⲣⲃⲁⲛⲟⲥ ⲉⲡⲉⲓⲇⲏ ⲟⲩⲁⲥⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲧⲉ
The chief priests took the pieces of silver, and said, “It’s not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is the price of blood.”
7 ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϣⲟϫⲛⲉ ⲁⲩϣⲱⲡ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲥⲱϣⲉ ⲙⲡⲕⲉⲣⲁⲙⲉⲩⲥ ⲉⲧⲱⲙⲥ ⲛⲛϣⲙⲙⲟ
They took counsel, and bought the potter’s field with them, to bury strangers in.
8 ⲏ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲥⲱϣⲉ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲥⲱϣⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲥⲛⲟϥ ϣⲁⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ
Therefore that field was called “The Field of Blood” to this day.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁϥϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲟⲟϥ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲓⲉⲣⲏⲙⲓⲁⲥ ⲡⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲙⲡⲙⲁⲁⲃ ⲛϩⲁⲧ ⲉⲧⲧⲓⲙⲏ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲧⲁⲓⲏⲩ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁⲩϯ ϣⲁⲁⲣ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ
Then that which was spoken through Jeremiah [Yah lifts up] the prophet was fulfilled, saying, “They took the thirty pieces of silver, which was the price the people of Israel [God prevails] had agreed to pay him,
10 ⲓ̅ ⲁⲩϯ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲥⲱϣⲉ ⲙⲡⲕⲉⲣⲁⲙⲉⲩⲥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲛⲧⲁϥϩⲱⲛ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ
and used them to buy the potter’s field just as MarYah [Master Yahweh] commanded me.”
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡϩⲏⲅⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⲁϥϫⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡϩⲏⲅⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲡⲉⲧϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ
Now Yeshua [Salvation] stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, “Are you the King of the Jews [Praisers]?” Yeshua [Salvation] said to him, “So you say.”
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ϩⲙ ⲡⲧⲣⲉⲩⲕⲁⲧⲟⲓⲅⲟⲣⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲛⲗⲁⲁⲩ
When he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲅⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲣⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲛⲟⲩⲏⲣ
Then Pilate [Armed with javelin] said to him, “Don’t you hear how many things they testify against you?”
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲛⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲛϥⲣϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡϩⲏⲅⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⲉⲙⲁⲧⲉ
He gave him no answer, not even one word, so that the governor marveled greatly.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲕⲁⲧⲁϣⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉϣⲁⲣⲉⲡϩⲏⲅⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⲕⲁⲟⲩⲁ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲉϥⲙⲏⲣ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲩⲟⲩⲁϣϥ
Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release to the multitude one prisoner, whom they desired.
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲛⲧⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲁ ⲉϥⲙⲏⲣ ⲉϥⲟ ⲛⲥⲟⲉⲓⲧ ⲛϣⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲃⲁⲣⲁⲃⲃⲁⲥ
They had then a notable prisoner, called Bar-Abba [Son Father].
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲉⲩⲥⲟⲟⲩϩ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲧⲣⲁⲕⲁⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲃⲁⲣⲁⲃⲃⲁⲥ ϫⲛ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲉϣⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ
When therefore they were gathered together, Pilate [Armed with javelin] said to them, “Whom do you want me to release to you? Bar-Abba [Son Father], or Yeshua [Salvation], who is called Messiah [Anointed one]?”
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲛⲉϥⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲟⲩⲫⲑⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲇⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
For he knew that because of envy they had delivered him up.
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲉϥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ϩⲓⲡⲃⲏⲙⲁ ⲁⲥϫⲟⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲉϥⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲁϩⲱⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲁⲓϣⲡϩⲁϩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧϥ
While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, “Have nothing to do with that upright man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of him.”
20 ⲕ̅ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲡⲉⲓⲑⲉ ⲙⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲩⲉⲁⲓⲧⲉⲓ ⲛⲃⲁⲣⲁⲃⲃⲁⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲥⲉⲙⲟⲩⲟⲩⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the multitudes to ask for Bar-Abba [Son Father], and destroy Yeshua [Salvation].
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡϩⲏⲅⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲧⲣⲁⲕⲁⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲃⲁⲣⲁⲃⲃⲁⲥ
But the governor answered them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” They said, “Bar-Abba [Son Father]!”
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲁⲣⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲛⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
Pilate [Armed with javelin] said to them, “What then shall I do to Yeshua [Salvation], who is called Messiah [Anointed one]?” They all said to him, “Put him to death on the stake!”
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲡⲉⲑⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲓϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
But the governor said, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they cried out exceedingly, saying, “Death on the stake!”
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛϥⲛⲁϯϩⲏⲩ ⲛⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲣⲉⲟⲩϣⲧⲟⲣⲧⲣ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ϥϫⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲁϥⲉⲓⲱ ⲛⲛⲉϥϭⲓϫ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϯⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲣⲱϣⲉ
So when Pilate [Armed with javelin] saw that nothing was being gained, but rather that a disturbance was starting, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this upright person. You see to it.”
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉϥⲥⲛⲟϥ ϩⲓϫⲱⲛ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ
All the people answered, “May his blood be on us, and on our children!”
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲕⲱ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲃⲁⲣⲁⲃⲃⲁⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲫⲣⲁⲅⲉⲗⲗⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁϥⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲇⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲩⲉⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
Then he released to them Bar-Abba [Son Father], but Yeshua [Salvation] he flogged and delivered to be nailed to the execution-stake.
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ ⲙⲡϩⲏⲅⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲛⲓⲏⲥ ⲉⲡⲉⲡⲣⲁⲓⲧⲱⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲁⲩⲥⲱⲟⲩϩ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱϥ ⲛⲧⲉⲥⲡⲉⲓⲣⲁ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ
Then the governor’s soldiers took Yeshua [Salvation] into the Praetorium, and gathered the whole garrison together against him.
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲩⲕⲱ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲕⲁϩⲏⲩ ⲁⲩϯ ϩⲓⲱⲱϥ ⲛⲟⲩⲭⲗⲁⲙⲩⲥ ⲛⲕⲟⲕⲕⲟⲥ
They stripped him, and put a scarlet robe on him.
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩϣⲱⲛⲧ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲗⲟⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛϣⲟⲛⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲗⲟ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲁⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲕⲁϣ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϥϭⲓϫ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲁⲙ ⲁⲩⲡⲁϩⲧⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩⲥⲱⲃⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲭⲁⲓⲣⲉ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ
They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they knelt down before him, and mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews [Praisers]!”
30 ⲗ̅ ⲁⲩⲛⲉϫⲡⲁϭⲥⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϩⲣⲁϥ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲙⲡⲕⲁϣ ⲁⲩⲣⲱϩⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲁⲡⲉ
They spat on him, and took the reed and struck him on the head.
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲱⲃⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲕⲱ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲕⲁϩⲏⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲭⲗⲁⲙⲩⲥ ⲁⲩϯ ϩⲓⲱⲱϥ ⲛⲛⲉϥϩⲟⲓⲧⲉ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
When they had mocked him, they took the robe off of him, and put his clothes on him, and led him away to crucify him.
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲉⲩⲛⲏⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩϩⲉ ⲉⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲕⲩⲣⲏⲛⲛⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲁⲩⲕⲱⲱⲃⲉ ⲙⲡⲁⲓ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲉϥⲓ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ
As they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simeon [Hearing] by name, and they compelled him to go with them, that he might carry his execution-stake.
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲩⲙⲁ ⲛϣⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲅⲟⲗⲅⲟⲑⲁ ⲉⲧⲉⲡⲙⲁ ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛⲓⲟⲛ ⲡⲉ
When they came to a place called “Golgotha,” that means, “[The place of a skull],”
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁⲩϯ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲟⲩⲏⲣⲡ ⲉⲥⲟⲟϥ ⲉϥⲧⲏϩ ϩⲓⲥⲓϣⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲧⲟⲡϥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲥⲟⲟϥ
they gave him sour wine to drink mixed with gall. When he had tasted it, he would not drink.
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲡⲱϣ ⲛⲛⲉϥϩⲟⲓⲧⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲛⲉϫⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ
When they had nailed him to the stake, they divided his clothing among them, casting lots,
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲉⲩϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ
and they sat and watched him there.
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩⲕⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲁⲓⲧⲓⲁ ⲉⲥⲥⲏϩ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲁⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ
They set up over his head the accusation against him written, “This Is Yeshua [Salvation], The King of The Jews [Praisers].”
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲛⲕⲉⲥⲟⲟⲛⲉ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲟⲩⲁ ϩⲓⲟⲩⲛⲁⲙ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲁ ϩⲓϩⲃⲟⲩⲣ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
Then there were two robbers placed on execution-stakes with him, one on his right hand and one on the left.
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲏⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲓⲟⲩⲁ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲩⲕⲓⲙ ⲛⲛⲉⲩⲁⲡⲏⲩⲉ
Those who passed by blasphemed him, shaking their heads,
40 ⲙ̅ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲃⲱⲗ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲣⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲕⲱⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲁⲧⲟⲩϫⲟⲕ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ϩⲓ ⲡⲉⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ
and saying, “You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Ben-Elohim ·Son of Elohim God·, come down from the execution-stake!”
41 ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ ϩⲟⲙⲟⲓⲱⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲉⲩⲥⲱⲃⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉⲩⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ
Likewise the chief priests also mocking, with the Torah-Teachers, the Pharisees [Separated], and the elders, said,
42 ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲟⲩϫⲉϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲉⲓⲉⲙⲛ ϣϭⲟⲙ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲧⲟⲩϫⲟϥ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ ⲡⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϩⲓ ⲡⲉⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ
“He saved others, but he can’t save himself. If he is the Melek Isra'el [King of God prevails], let him come down from the execution-stake now, and we will trust in him.
43 ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲁϥⲛⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲛⲁϩⲙⲉϥ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲉϣϫⲉ ϥⲟⲩⲁϣϥ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲅⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if he wants him; for he said, ‘I am the Ben-Elohim ·Son of Elohim God·.’”
44 ⲙ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲕⲉⲥⲟⲟⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲩⲛⲟϭⲛⲉϭ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
The robbers also who were placed on execution-stakes with him cast on him the same reproach.
45 ⲙ̅ⲉ̅ ϫⲓⲛⲉⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϫⲡⲥⲟ ⲙⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲕⲁⲕⲉ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲓϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ϣⲁⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϫⲡⲯⲓⲧⲉ
Now from noon until three o'clock there was darkness over all the land.
46 ⲙ̅ⲋ̅ ϩⲙ ⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϫⲡⲯⲓⲧⲉ ⲁϥϫⲓϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲥⲙⲏ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲗⲱⲉⲓ ⲉⲗⲱⲉⲓ ⲗⲁⲙⲁ ⲥⲁⲃⲁⲕⲧⲁⲛⲉⲓ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲁⲕⲕⲁⲁⲧ ⲛⲥⲱⲕ
About three o'clock in the afternoon, Yeshua [Salvation] cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lima sabachthani?” That is, “·My God, my God, why have you forsaken me·?”
47 ⲙ̅ⲍ̅ ϩⲟⲓⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲁⲓ ⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉϩⲏⲗⲉⲓⲁⲥ
Some of them who stood there, when they heard it, said, “This man is calling Elijah [My God Yah].”
48 ⲙ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲡⲱⲧ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲁϥϫⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲡⲟⲅⲅⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲙⲁϩⲥ ⲛϩⲙϫ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲣⲉⲥ ⲉⲩⲕⲁϣ ⲁϥⲧⲥⲟ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
Immediately one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave it to him to drink.
49 ⲙ̅ⲑ̅ ⲡⲕⲉⲥⲉⲉⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϭⲱ ⲛⲧⲛⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ϩⲏⲗⲉⲓⲁⲥ ⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲛⲟⲩϩⲙ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
The rest said, “Let him be. Let’s see whether Elijah [My God Yah] comes to save him.”
50 ⲛ̅ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥϫⲓϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲥⲙⲏ ⲁϥⲕⲱ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ
Yeshua [Salvation] cried again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit.
51 ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲕⲁⲧⲁⲡⲉⲧⲁⲥⲙⲁ ⲙⲡⲣⲡⲉ ⲁϥⲡⲱϩ ϫⲓⲛ ⲧⲡⲉ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲁϥⲣⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲁϥⲛⲟⲉⲓⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲣⲁ ⲁⲩⲡⲱϩ
Behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split.
52 ⲛ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲁⲩⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ϩⲁϩ ⲛⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲛⲕⲟⲧⲕ
The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;

and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.
54 ⲛ̅ⲇ̅ ⲡϩⲉⲕⲁⲧⲟⲛⲧⲁⲣⲭⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲉⲧϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲓⲏⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲕⲙⲧⲟ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲉⲙⲁⲧⲉ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲙⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ
Now the centurion, and those who were with him watching Yeshua [Salvation], when they saw the earthquake, and the things that were done, feared exceedingly, saying, “Truly this was the Ben-Elohim ·Son of Elohim God·.”
55 ⲛ̅ⲉ̅ ⲉⲛⲉⲩⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲟⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲛⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲩϭⲱϣⲧ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲟⲩⲁϩⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ ⲉⲩⲇⲓⲁⲕⲟⲛⲉⲓ ⲛⲁϥ
Many women were there watching from afar, who had followed Yeshua [Salvation] from Galilee [District, Circuit], serving him.
56 ⲛ̅ⲋ̅ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲧⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲧⲙⲁⲅⲇⲁⲗⲏⲛⲏ ⲙⲛ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲧⲁⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲙⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲓⲱⲥⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲙⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲍⲉⲃⲉⲇⲁⲓⲟⲥ
Among them were Mary of Magdala [Rebellion of City tower], Mary [Rebellion] the mother of James [Surplanter] and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee [Bestowed by Yah].
57 ⲛ̅ⲍ̅ ⲣⲟⲩϩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲛϭⲓ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲣⲙⲙⲁⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲁⲣⲓⲙⲁⲑⲁⲓⲁ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲓⲱⲥⲏⲫ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲁϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲛⲓⲏⲥ
When evening had come, a rich man from Arimathaea, named Joseph [May he add], who himself was also Yeshua's [Salvation]'s disciple came.
58 ⲛ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁϥϯ ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲁⲓⲧⲉⲓ ⲙⲡⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲏⲥ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲉϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ
This man went to Pilate [Armed with javelin], and asked for Yeshua [Salvation]’s body (Nissan 14). Then Pilate [Armed with javelin] commanded the body to be given up.
59 ⲛ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁϥϫⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲱⲥⲏⲫ ⲁϥⲕⲱⲱⲥ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲓⲛⲇⲱⲛ ⲉⲥⲣⲁϩⲉ
Joseph [May he add] took the body, and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
60 ⲝ̅ ⲁϥⲕⲱ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϥⲙϩⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲃⲣⲣⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲕⲉϩⲕⲱϩϥ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲉⲧⲣⲁ ⲁϥⲥⲕⲟⲣⲕⲣ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲱⲛⲉ ⲉⲣⲙⲡⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲉⲙϩⲁⲁⲩ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ
and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut out in the rock, and he rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb, and departed.
61 ⲝ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉⲛⲉⲥⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲧⲙⲁⲅⲇⲁⲗⲏⲛⲏ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲕⲉⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲉⲩϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲧⲁⲫⲟⲥ
Mary of Magdala [Rebellion of City tower] was there, and the other Mary [Rebellion], sitting opposite the tomb.
62 ⲝ̅ⲃ̅ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲥⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲧⲡⲁⲣⲁⲥⲕⲉⲩⲏ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲥⲱⲟⲩϩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲉⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ
Now on the next day, which was the day after the Preparation Day (Nissan 15), the chief priests and the Pharisees [Separated] were gathered together to Pilate [Armed with javelin],
63 ⲝ̅ⲅ̅ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲛⲣⲡⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲓⲡⲗⲁⲛⲟⲥ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲓⲛⲉϥⲟⲛϩ ϫⲉ ϯⲛⲁⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ
saying, “Sir, we remember what that deceiver said while he was still alive: ‘After three days I will rise again.’
64 ⲝ̅ⲇ̅ ⲟⲩⲉϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲉ ϭⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲛⲱⲣϫ ⲙⲡⲧⲁⲫⲟⲥ ϣⲁⲡⲙⲉϩϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲏⲡⲟⲧⲉ ⲛⲥⲉⲉⲓ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲥⲉϥⲓⲧϥ ⲛϫⲓⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲥⲉϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲗⲁⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲛⲧⲉⲑⲁⲏ ⲙⲡⲗⲁⲛⲏ ⲑⲟ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲣⲡ
Command therefore that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest perhaps his disciples come at night and steal him away, and tell the people, ‘He is risen from the dead;’ and the last sin ·abstractly deceive, straying from orthodox beliefs· will be worse than the first.”
65 ⲝ̅ⲉ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϫⲓ ⲛⲧⲕⲟⲩⲥⲧⲱⲇⲓⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲃⲱⲕ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲟⲣϫϥ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ
Pilate [Armed with javelin] said to them, “You have a guard. Go, make it as secure as you can.”
66 ⲝ̅ⲋ̅ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲁⲩⲱⲣϫ ⲙⲡⲧⲁⲫⲟⲥ ⲉⲁⲩⲥⲫⲣⲁⲅⲓⲍⲉ ⲙⲡⲱⲛⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲕⲟⲩⲥⲧⲱⲇⲓⲁ
So they went with the guard and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone.
