1 ⲁ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩϩⲱⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲏⲇⲫⲁⲅⲏ ⲉⲡⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲧ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ
Now when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, opposite the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
2 ⲃ̅ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲓϯⲙⲉ ⲉⲧⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁϩⲉ ⲉⲩⲉⲱ ⲉⲥⲙⲏⲣ ⲙⲛⲟⲩⲥⲏϭ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲥ ⲃⲟⲗⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲓ
saying to them: “Go into the village opposite you and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose her and bring them to me.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲏⲧⲛ ⲁϫⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲩϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ϥⲛⲁⲧⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥⲉ
And if anyone says anything to you, just say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and immediately he will send them.”
4 ⲇ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛⲧⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲉϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲟⲟϥ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ
Now all this happened so that what was spoken through the prophet should be fulfilled, namely:
5 ⲉ̅ ϫⲉ ⲁϫⲓⲥ ⲛⲧϣⲉⲉⲣⲉ ⲛⲥⲓⲱⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲟⲩⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲏⲩ ⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲙⲣⲁϣ ⲡⲉ ⲉϥⲁⲗⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲟⲩⲉⲱ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲏϭ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛϥⲁⲓⲛⲁϩⲃ
“Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Look, your King is coming to you, humble and mounted on a donkey, in fact, a young donkey, foal of a beast of burden.’”
6 ⲋ̅ ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲛⲧⲁϥϩⲱⲛ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ
So going and doing just as Jesus had commanded them,
7 ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲱ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲥⲏϭ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲗⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϩⲟⲓⲧⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲗⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ
the disciples brought the female donkey and the young donkey. And they placed their clothes on them and He sat down on them [the clothes].
8 ⲏ̅ ⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲱϥ ⲁⲩⲡⲱⲣϣ ⲛⲛⲉⲩϩⲟⲓⲧⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϣⲱⲱⲧ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲕⲗⲁⲇⲟⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛϣⲏⲛ ⲉⲩⲡⲱⲣϣ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ
And the very large crowd spread their clothes on the road, while others were cutting branches from the trees and spreading them on the road.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲙⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ϩⲁⲧⲉϥϩⲏ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲏϩ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲓϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲱⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ϥⲥⲙⲁⲙⲁⲁⲧ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲏⲩ ϩⲙ ⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲱⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧϫⲟⲥⲉ
Then the crowds who went in front and those who followed kept crying out, saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!”
10 ⲓ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ ⲁⲥⲛⲟⲉⲓⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⲉⲥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ
So when He came into Jerusalem the whole city was stirred up, saying, “Who is this?”
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲙⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲁⲍⲁⲣⲉⲑ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ
And the crowds kept saying, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Natsareth of Galilee.”
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲣⲡⲉ ⲁϥⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧϯ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧϣⲱⲡ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲙ ⲡⲣⲡⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲣⲁⲡⲉⲍⲁ ⲛⲛⲉⲧϫⲓⲕⲟⲗⲩⲙⲃⲟⲛ ⲁϥϣⲣϣⲱⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲕⲁⲑⲉⲇⲣⲁ ⲛⲛⲉⲧϯ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲉϭⲣⲟⲟⲙⲡⲉ
Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all who were selling and buying in the temple, and He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold the doves.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ϥⲥⲏϩ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲏⲓ ⲉⲩⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲙⲡⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲥⲡⲟⲓⲗⲁⲓⲟⲛ ⲛⲥⲟⲟⲛⲉ
And He says to them, “It is written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it ‘a cave of bandits’.”
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁⲩϯ ⲡⲉⲩⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲃⲗⲗⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛϭⲁⲗⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲙ ⲡⲣⲡⲉ ⲁϥⲣⲡⲁϩⲣⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ
And the lame and the blind came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉⲩⲥ ⲉⲛⲉϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ϣⲏⲙ ⲉⲩϫⲓϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲱⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ⲁⲩⲁⲕⲁⲛⲁⲅⲧⲉⲓ
But seeing the wonders that He did, and the children calling out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” the chief priests and the scribes became indignant
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲥⲱⲧⲙ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲛⲁⲓ ϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲟϣϥ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲧⲧⲁⲡⲣⲟ ⲛⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲕⲟⲩⲓ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧϫⲓⲉⲕⲓⲃⲉ ⲁⲕⲥⲟϥⲧⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲙⲟⲩ
and said to Him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” So Jesus says to them: “Yes. Have you never read that ‘Out of the mouth of babies and nursing infants You have prepared praise for Yourself’?”
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁϥⲕⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲡⲥⲁ ⲛⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲃⲏⲑⲁⲛⲓⲁ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ
Leaving them behind He went out of the city to Bethany and lodged there.
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ϩⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥⲛⲁⲕⲟⲧϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲁϥϩⲕⲟ
Now in the early morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry.
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩⲃⲱ ⲛⲕⲛⲧⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲥ ⲙⲡⲉϥϩⲉ ⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ϩⲓⲱⲱⲥ ⲉⲓⲙⲏⲧⲓ ϩⲉⲛϭⲱⲃⲉ ⲙⲁⲩⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉ ⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲉ ϫⲓⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲁⲥϣⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲃⲱ ⲛⲕⲛⲧⲉ (aiōn g165)
And seeing a lone fig tree by the road, He went up to it and found nothing on it, just leaves. And He says to it, “May you never again produce fruit!” And forthwith the fig tree started to wither. (aiōn g165)
20 ⲕ̅ ⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲣϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁϣ ⲛϩⲉ ⲁⲥϣⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲃⲱ ⲛⲕⲛⲧⲉ
And seeing it the disciples marveled saying, “How quickly the fig tree became withered!”
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲏⲧⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲧⲙⲣ ϩⲏⲧ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲟⲩ ⲙⲟⲛⲟⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲁⲧⲃⲱ ⲛⲕⲛⲧⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲕⲁⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲁⲛϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲧⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲅⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲁⲗⲁⲥⲥⲁ ⲥⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ
So in answer Jesus said to them: “Assuredly I say to you, if you (pl.) have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you should say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and be thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲁⲓⲧⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ
And anything whatever you may ask in the believing prayer, you will receive.”
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲣⲡⲉ ⲁⲩϯⲡⲉⲩⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉϥϯ ⲥⲃⲱ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲁϣ ⲛⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲉⲕⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲛⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥϯ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ
So He came into the temple, and as He was teaching the chief priests and the elders of the people approached Him saying, “By what kind of authority are you doing these things?” and “Who gave you this authority?”
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ϯⲛⲁϫⲛⲉⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲁⲛϫⲟⲟϥ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ϯⲛⲁϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲛⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲁϣ ⲛⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ
But in answer Jesus said to them: “I also will ask you one question, which if you tell me, I also will tell you by what authority I do these things:
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲡⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲱⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲉ ⲡⲉ ϫⲛ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲛϣⲁⲛϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲉ ⲡⲉ ϥⲛⲁϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ
The baptism of John—where was it from; from heaven or from men?” So they reasoned among themselves saying: “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say to us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ϭⲉ ⲉⲛϣⲁⲛϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲣⲉⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ϩⲱⲥ ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ
But if we say, ‘From men,’ we fear the crowd, for all consider John as a prophet.”
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲓⲏⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ϩⲱⲱϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱⲱⲧ ⲟⲛ ⲛϯⲛⲁϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲛⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲁϣ ⲛⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ
So in answer to Jesus they said, “We do not know.” So He said to them: “Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲥⲇⲟⲕⲉⲓ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲁϥϯ ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲉⲡϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲙⲡⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲅⲣϩⲱⲃ ⲉⲡⲁⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ
“But what do you think? A certain man had two sons, and going to the first he said, ‘Son, go work today in my vineyard.’
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲟ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲱⲥ ⲁϥⲣϩⲧⲏϥ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ
But in answer he said, ‘I don't want to’ (but later he changed his mind and went).
30 ⲗ̅ ⲁϥϯ ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲡⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϩⲓⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϯⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ
And going to the other he said likewise. And in answer he said, ‘I go, Sir’; yet he did not go.
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲏⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲙⲡⲟⲣⲛⲏ ⲥⲉⲟ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
Which of the two did the will of the father?” They say to Him, “The first.” Jesus says to them: “Assuredly I say to you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes will go into the kingdom of God before you do.
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲛⲧⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲙⲡⲟⲣⲛⲏ ⲁⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲱⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲣϩⲧⲏⲧⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ
For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him, yet when you saw it you did not afterward repent, so as to believe him.
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲕⲉⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲣⲙⲙⲁⲟ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲱϭⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ ⲁϥⲕⲧⲟ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲟⲩϫⲟⲗϫⲗ ⲁϥϣⲓⲕⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲣⲱⲧ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲁϥⲕⲱⲧ ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲩⲣⲅⲟⲥ ⲁϥϯ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲟⲩⲉⲉⲓⲏ ⲁϥⲁⲡⲟⲇⲏⲙⲉⲓ
“Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to farmers and went on a journey.
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϩⲱⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲛⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲉϥϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ϣⲁⲛⲟⲩⲉⲉⲓⲏ ⲉϫⲓ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ
When vintage-time drew near he sent his servants to the farmers to receive his fruits.
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲉⲓⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲛⲛⲉϥϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲁⲩϩⲓⲟⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧϥ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϩⲓⲱⲛⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ
But the farmers took his servants—one they beat, one they killed, one they stoned.
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲛ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲛⲕⲉϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲁⲩⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲧⲉⲓϩⲉ
Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did to them likewise.
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲥⲱⲥ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϣⲓⲡⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲁϣⲏⲣⲉ
So finally he sent his son to them saying, ‘They will respect my son.’
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲉⲓⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲙⲏⲓⲧⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲙⲟⲩⲟⲩⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲛϫⲓ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ
But when the farmers saw the son they said among themselves: ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and take possession of his inheritance.’
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧϥ
And taking him they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
40 ⲙ̅ ϩⲟⲧⲁⲛ ϭⲉ ⲉϥϣⲁⲛⲉⲓ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ ⲉϥⲛⲁⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲉⲉⲓⲏ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ
Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those farmers?”
41 ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲁⲕⲓⲛ ⲕⲁⲕⲱⲥ ϥⲛⲁⲧⲁⲕⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥϯ ⲙⲡⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲕⲉⲟⲩⲉⲉⲓⲏ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲛⲁϯ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲛⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲩⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ
They say to Him: “He will miserably destroy those miserable men! And he will lease the vineyard to other farmers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons.”
42 ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲟϣϥ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ϫⲉ ⲡⲱⲛⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲥⲧⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲕⲱⲧ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲩⲁⲡⲉ ⲛⲕⲟⲟϩ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲃⲁⲗ
Jesus says to them: “Did you never read in the Scriptures: ‘A stone which the builders rejected, this one became the cornerstone. This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?
