1 ⲁ̅ ⲁϥϫⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ϫⲉ ϣϣⲉ ⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲟⲩⲟⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲙⲉⲅⲕⲁⲕⲓ
And he spoke a parable to them [to this end], that men ought always [to] pray, and not to faint;
2 ⲃ̅ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲕⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲛϥⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲛ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲛϥϣⲓⲡⲉ ⲁⲛ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲣⲣⲱⲙⲉ
Saying, There was in a city a judge, who feared not God, neither regarded man.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲭⲏⲣⲁ ⲇⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲣⲓ ⲡⲁϩⲁⲡ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲧϫⲓ ϩⲁⲡ ⲟⲩⲃⲏⲉⲓ
And there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, Avenge me of my adversary.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡϥⲟⲩⲱϣ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲓϣ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ϫⲉ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛϯⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϯϣⲓⲡⲉ ⲁⲛ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲣⲣⲱⲙⲉ
And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 ⲉ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲧⲉⲓⲭⲏⲣⲁ ⲟⲩⲉϩ ϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ϯⲛⲁⲣ ⲡⲉⲥϩⲁⲡ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲥϯ ϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ
Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲡⲉⲕⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲧⲁⲇⲓⲕⲓⲁ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ
And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 ⲍ̅ ⲉⲓⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁⲣ ⲡϩⲁⲡ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲥⲱⲧⲡ ⲉⲧⲱϣ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥϩⲣⲟϣ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ
And will not God avenge his own elect, who cry day and night to him, though he beareth long with them?
8 ⲏ̅ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ϥⲛⲁⲣ ⲡⲉⲩϩⲁⲡ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϭⲉⲡⲏ ⲡⲗⲏⲛ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲏⲩ ⲛϥϩⲉ ⲉⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ϩⲓϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, will he find faith on the earth?
9 ⲑ̅ ⲁϥϫⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲉϩⲟⲓⲛⲉ ⲉⲩⲕⲱ ⲛϩⲧⲏⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲁⲁⲧⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ϩⲉⲛⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲛⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲩⲥⲱϣϥ ⲙⲡⲕⲉⲥⲉⲉⲡⲉ
And he spoke this parable to certain who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 ⲓ̅ ϫⲉ ⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ ⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ
Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲡⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲁϥϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉϥϣⲗⲏⲗ ϫⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϯϣⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲧⲕ ϫⲉ ⲛϯⲟ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲙⲡⲕⲉⲥⲉⲉⲡⲉ ⲛⲣⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲣⲣⲉϥⲧⲱⲣⲡ ⲣⲣⲉϥϫⲓ ⲛϭⲟⲛⲥ ⲛⲛⲟⲓⲕ ⲏ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲙⲡⲓⲕⲉⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲏⲥ
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men [are], extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ϯⲛⲏⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲛⲥⲟⲡ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ϯϯ ⲙⲡⲣⲉⲙⲏⲧ ⲛⲛⲉϯϫⲡⲟ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ
I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁⲡⲕⲉⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲉ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲡϥⲟⲩⲉϣ ϥⲓⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲡⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁϥϩⲓⲟⲩⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϩⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲙⲉⲥⲑⲏⲧ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲕⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲓⲣⲉϥⲣⲛⲟⲃⲉ
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as [his] eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲉϥⲧⲙⲁⲓⲏⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲉ ⲡⲏ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧϫⲓⲥⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲑⲃⲃⲓⲟϥ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲑⲃⲃⲉⲓⲟ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϫⲁⲥⲧϥ
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified [rather] than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲩⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϩⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ϣⲏⲙ ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉϫⲱϩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲉⲡⲓⲧⲓⲙⲁ ⲛⲁⲩ
And they brought to him also infants, that he would touch them: but when [his] disciples saw [it], they rebuked them.
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲁⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲁ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ϣⲏⲙ ⲛⲥⲉⲉⲓ ⲉⲣⲁⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲣⲕⲱⲗⲩ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
But Jesus called them [to him], and said, Suffer little children to come to me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲉ ⲛϥⲛⲁϣⲉⲡ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲛ ϩⲱⲥ ϣⲏⲣⲉ ϣⲏⲙ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ
Verily I say to you, Whoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, shall in no wise enter into it.
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲩⲁⲣⲭⲱⲛ ⲇⲉ ϫⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲥⲁϩ ⲛⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲥ ⲉⲓⲛⲁⲣ ⲟⲩ ⲧⲁⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓ ⲙⲡⲱⲛϩ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ (aiōnios )
And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? (aiōnios )
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲁϩⲣⲟⲕ ⲕⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲃⲏⲓ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲥ ⲙⲙⲛ ⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲥ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉ
And Jesus said to him, Why callest thou me good? none [is] good, save one, [that is] God.
20 ⲕ̅ ⲕⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲛⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲙⲡⲣⲣⲛⲟⲓⲕ ⲙⲡⲣϩⲱⲧⲃ ⲙⲡⲣϩⲱϥⲧ ⲙⲡⲣⲣⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲙⲁⲧⲁⲓⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲓⲱⲧ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲉⲕⲙⲁⲁⲩ
Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor thy father and thy mother.
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲁⲓϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲓⲛ ⲧⲁⲙⲛⲧⲕⲟⲩⲓ
And he said, All these have I kept from my youth.
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲉⲩⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲕϣⲁⲁⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϯⲛⲅⲕⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲧⲛⲧⲁⲕ ⲛⲅⲧⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲛϩⲏⲕⲉ ⲛⲅⲕⲱ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛⲟⲩⲁϩⲟ ϩⲛ ⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ ⲛⲅⲉⲓ ⲛⲅⲟⲩⲁϩⲕ ⲛⲥⲱⲓ
Now when Jesus heard these things, he said to him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲥⲉⲧⲙ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁϥⲗⲩⲡⲓ ⲛⲉⲩⲣⲙⲙⲁⲟ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲙⲁⲧⲉ ⲡⲉ
And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲥⲙⲟⲕϩ ⲉⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲩⲛⲧⲟⲩⲭⲣⲏⲙⲁ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly will they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲥⲙⲟⲧⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲣⲉ ⲟⲩϭⲁⲙⲟⲩⲗ ⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲧⲟⲩⲁⲧϥⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲁⲙ ⲛⲧⲱⲡ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲙⲙⲁⲟ ⲛϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲙ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲱⲛϩ
And they that heard [it], said, Who then can be saved?
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲧϭⲟⲙ ⲛⲛⲁϩⲣⲛ ⲣⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ ϭⲟⲙ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲁϩⲣⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
Then he said, The things which are impossible with men, are possible with God.
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲁⲛⲕⲱ ⲛⲥⲱⲛ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲩⲁϩⲛ ⲛⲥⲱⲕ
Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲙⲙⲛ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲉⲁϥⲕⲁ ϩⲓ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲏ ⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲏ ⲥⲟⲛ ⲏ ⲛⲉϥⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲏ ⲛⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
And he said to them, Verily I say to you, there is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children for the sake of the kingdom of God,
30 ⲗ̅ ⲉⲛϥⲛⲁϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲥⲁϣϥ ⲛⲕⲱⲃ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲓⲟⲩⲟⲓϣ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ϩⲙ ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲛ ⲉⲧⲛⲏⲟⲩ (aiōn , aiōnios )
Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting. (aiōn , aiōnios )
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁϥϫⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲙⲧⲥⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ϯⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲥⲏϩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲛⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ
Then he took the twelve, and said to them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲉⲥⲱⲃⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲥⲉⲥⲟϣϥ ⲛⲥⲉⲛⲉϫ ⲡⲁϭⲥⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϩⲣⲁϥ
For he will be delivered to the Gentiles, and will be mocked, and spitefully treated, and spitted on;
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲛⲥⲉⲙⲁⲥⲧⲓⲅⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲥⲉⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧϥ ⲛϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲉϩ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ
And they will scourge [him], and put him to death: and the third day he will rise again.
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲓϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲏⲡ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲙⲡⲟⲩⲥⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ
And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲧⲣⲉϥϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϩⲓⲉⲣⲓⲭⲱ ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲃⲗⲗⲉ ⲡⲉ ϩⲙ ⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲁⲧⲛ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲉϥⲧⲱⲃⲁϩ
And it came to pass, that as he had come nigh to Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging;
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲁϥϣⲓⲛⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ
And hearing the multitude passing by, he asked what it meant.
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲙⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲛⲁⲍⲱⲣⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲡⲁⲣⲁⲅⲉ
And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁϥϫⲓ ϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡϣⲡⲣⲉ ⲛⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ⲛⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ
And he cried, saying, Jesus, [thou] son of David, have mercy on me.
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲑⲏ ⲉⲡⲓⲧⲓⲙⲁ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉⲕⲁ ⲣⲱϥ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲁϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ⲛⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ
And they who went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, [Thou] son of David, have mercy on me.
40 ⲙ̅ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲉϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩⲛⲧϥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϩⲱⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥϫⲛⲟⲩϥ
And Jesus stood and commanded him to be brought to him: and when he had come near, he asked him,
41 ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲕⲟⲩⲉϣ ⲧⲣⲁⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do to thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42 ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲉⲕⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲧⲉⲛⲧⲁⲥⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲕ
And Jesus said to him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
43 ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲁϩϥ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲉϥϯ ⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw [it], gave praise to God.
