1 ⲁ̅ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϭⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲧⲛⲧⲱⲛ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩⲱⲥ ϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧ
Become, then, followers of God, as beloved children,
2 ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲙⲉⲣⲉ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲁϥ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲙⲡⲣⲟⲥⲫⲟⲣⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲩⲥϯⲛⲟⲩϥⲉ
and walk in love, as the Christ also loved us, and gave Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a refreshing fragrance,
3 ⲅ̅ ⲡⲟⲣⲛⲉⲓⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲓ ⲁⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲥⲓⲁ ⲏ ⲟⲩⲙⲛⲧⲙⲁⲓⲧⲟ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲙⲡⲣⲧⲣⲉⲩⲧⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲓⲛⲟⲩ ⲣⲱ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲡⲣⲉⲡⲉⲓ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ
and whoredom, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, do not let it even be named among you, as is proper to holy ones;
4 ⲇ̅ ⲏ ⲟⲩϣⲗⲟϥ ⲏ ⲟⲩϣϫⲥⲟϭ ⲏ ⲟⲩⲗⲗⲏⲃ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲉϣϣⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩϣⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲧⲟϥ
also filthiness, and foolish talking, or jesting—the things not fit—but rather thanksgiving;
5 ⲉ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲡⲟⲣⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲏ ⲁⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲧⲟⲥ ⲏ ⲙⲁⲓⲧⲟ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲣⲉϥϣⲙϣⲉ ⲉⲓⲇⲱⲗⲟⲛ ⲙⲛ ⲧϥⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ϩⲛ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲙⲛⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
for you know this, that every whoremonger, or unclean, or covetous person, who is an idolater, has no inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲙⲡⲣⲧⲣⲉ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲣϩⲁⲗ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ϩⲛ ϩⲉⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲩϣⲟⲩⲓⲧ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲟⲣⲅⲏ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲁⲧⲛⲁϩⲧⲉ
Let no one deceive you with vain words, for because of these things comes the anger of God on the sons of the disobedience;
7 ⲍ̅ ⲙⲡⲣϣⲱⲡⲉ ϭⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϭⲏⲡ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ
do not become, then, partakers with them,
8 ⲏ̅ ⲙⲡⲓⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲟ ⲛⲕⲁⲕⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ϩⲱⲥ ϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ
for you were once darkness, and now light in the LORD; walk as children of light,
9 ⲑ̅ ⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲙⲛⲧⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲙⲉ
for the fruit of the light [is] in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth,
10 ⲓ̅ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲇⲟⲕⲓⲙⲁⲍⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲁⲛⲁϥ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ
proving what is well-pleasing to the LORD;
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲣⲕⲟⲓⲛⲱⲛⲓ ⲉⲛⲉϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ⲙⲡⲕⲁⲕⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲛⲧⲟⲩ ⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲡⲓⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ
and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of the darkness and rather even convict,
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲓⲟⲩⲉ ϩⲉⲛϣⲗⲟϥ ⲉⲣⲡⲕⲉϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲉ
for it is a shame even to speak of the things done by them in secret,
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ϩⲱⲃ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲧⲟⲩϫⲡⲓⲟ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲉⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ⲛⲉ
and all the things reproved by the light are revealed, for everything that is revealed is light;
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛⲅ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲕⲟⲧⲕ ⲛⲅⲗⲟ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲧⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲣⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ
for this reason it says, “Arouse yourself, you who are sleeping, and arise out of the dead, and the Christ will shine on you.”
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ϭⲱϣⲧ ϭⲉ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲣϫ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲛⲁϣ ⲛϩⲉ ϩⲱⲥ ⲁⲑⲏⲧ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲱⲥ ⲥⲁⲃⲉ
See, then, how exactly you walk, not as unwise, but as wise,
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲱⲡ ⲙⲡⲉⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲟⲟⲩ
redeeming the time, because the days are evil;
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲙⲡⲣϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲁⲑⲏⲧ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ
do not become fools because of this, but—understanding what [is] the will of the LORD,
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲣϯϩⲉ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲏⲣⲡ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲟⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲛⲧϣⲛⲁ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ
and do not be drunk with wine, in which is wastefulness, but be filled in the Spirit,
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲉⲣⲏⲩ ϩⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲯⲁⲗⲙⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲱⲇⲏ ⲙⲡⲛⲁⲧⲓⲕⲟⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲱ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲯⲁⲗⲗⲓ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ
speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the LORD,
20 ⲕ̅ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲁ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲙ ⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲛⲧⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲓⲱⲧ
always giving thanks for all things, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to the God and Father,
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϩⲩⲡⲟⲧⲁⲥⲥⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲉⲣⲏⲩ ϩⲛ ⲑⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ
subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of Christ.
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲉϩⲓⲟⲙⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩϩⲩⲡⲟⲧⲁⲥⲥⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲩϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ
The wives: [subject yourselves] to your own husbands, as to the LORD,
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ϫⲉ ⲡϩⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲧⲁⲡⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲉⲧⲁⲡⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ ⲙⲡⲥⲱⲙⲁ
because the husband is head of the wife, as also the Christ [is] head of the Assembly, and He is Savior of the body,
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ϩⲩⲡⲟⲧⲁⲥⲥⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲧⲁⲓ ϩⲱⲱϥ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲉ ⲛⲉϩⲓⲟⲙⲉ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲩⲡⲟⲧⲁⲥⲥⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲩϩⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ
but even as the Assembly is subject to Christ, so also [are] the wives [subject] to their own husbands in everything.
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲙⲉⲣⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲛϩⲓⲟⲙⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲙⲉⲣⲉ ⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲁϥ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲥ
The husbands: love your own wives, as the Christ also loved the Assembly, and gave Himself for it,
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉⲧⲃⲃⲟⲥ ⲉⲁϥⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲓⲍⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϩⲙ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲡϫⲱⲕⲙ ⲙⲡⲙⲟⲟⲩ
that He might sanctify it, having cleansed [it] with the bathing of the water in the saying,
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲉⲧⲁϩⲉ ⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲥ ⲉⲥⲧⲁⲓⲏⲩ ⲉⲙⲛ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛϫⲱϩⲙ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲥ ⲏ ⲧⲱⲗⲙ ⲏ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲧⲉⲉⲓϩⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲥⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲥⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲁⲧⲧⲱⲗⲙ
that He might present the Assembly to Himself in glory, having no spot or wrinkle, or any of such things, but that it may be holy and unblemished;
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ϣϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲛϩⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲉⲙⲉⲣⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϩⲓⲟⲙⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲉⲓϩⲉ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲩⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲉ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲉϥⲙⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲁⲁϥ
so ought the husbands to love their own wives as their own bodies: he who is loving his own wife—he loves himself;
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲙⲡⲉ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲙⲉⲥⲧⲉ ⲧⲉϥⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁϥⲥⲁⲛⲟⲩϣⲥ ⲛϥⲑⲁⲗⲡⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ
for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and nurtures it, as also the LORD—the Assembly,
30 ⲗ̅ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲙⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲥⲱⲙⲁ
because we are members of His body, [[of His flesh, and of His bones.]]
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲁⲕⲁ ⲡⲉϥⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲙⲁⲁⲩ ⲛϥⲧⲱϭⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲧⲉϥⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲛⲥⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ
“For this cause will a man leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife, and the two will be into one flesh”;
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲡⲉⲓⲙⲩⲥⲧⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲓϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ
this secret is great, and I speak in regard to Christ and to the Assembly;
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲡⲗⲏⲛ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ϩⲱⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲙⲉⲣⲉ ⲧⲉϥⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲛⲧⲉϥϩⲉ ⲧⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉⲥⲉⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲉⲥϩⲁⲓ
but you also, everyone in particular—let each so love his own wife as himself, and the wife—that she may revere the husband.
