1 ⲁ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϫⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲡⲉⲛⲧⲏⲕⲟⲥⲧⲏ ⲛⲉⲩϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ϩⲓ ⲛⲉⲩⲉⲣⲏⲩ
When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together with one purpose.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϣⲥⲛⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲟⲩϩⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲉ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲛⲟⲏ ⲉⲩⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛϭⲟⲛⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲥⲙⲟⲩϩ ⲙⲡⲏⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲉⲛⲉⲩϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ
And suddenly a roar came out of the sky, like the rushing of a violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϭⲓ ϩⲉⲛⲗⲁⲥ ⲉⲩⲡⲟⲣϫ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲕⲱϩⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ
Fiery tongues appeared and were distributed to them, and it [a tongue] landed on each one of them.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩϩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲁⲣⲭⲉⲓ ⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲕⲉⲁⲥⲡⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ϯ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩ
And they were all filled with Holy Spirit and began to speak different languages, as the Spirit was granting to them to speak out.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲛⲉⲩϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ϩⲛ ⲑⲓⲗⲏⲙ ⲉⲩⲟⲩⲏϩ ⲛϭⲓ ϩⲉⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϩⲉⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲣⲉϥⲣϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲧϩⲁ ⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲛⲧⲡⲉ
Now there were devout men, Jews, from every nation under heaven, dwelling in Jerusalem.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲓⲥⲙⲏ ⲇⲉ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲁⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲥⲱⲟⲩϩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩϣⲧⲟⲣⲧⲣ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲁⲥⲡⲉ
So when that roar occurred, the crowd came together, and was bewildered, because each one was hearing them speaking to him in his own dialect.
7 ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩⲡⲱϣⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲣϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲧϣⲁϫⲉ
So they were amazed and marveled, saying to one another: “Hey, aren't all these who are speaking Galileans?
8 ⲏ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲁϣ ⲛϩⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲛⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲁⲥⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲡⲟⲛ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲥ
So how can each of us be hearing our own dialect in which we were born?
9 ⲑ̅ ⲙⲡⲁⲣⲑⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲙⲙⲏⲇⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲗⲁⲙⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲏϩ ϩⲛ ⲧⲙⲉⲥⲁⲡⲟⲧⲁⲙⲓⲁ ϯⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲕⲁⲡⲡⲟⲇⲟⲕⲓⲁ ⲡⲡⲟⲛⲧⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲁⲥⲓⲁ
Parthians and Medes and Elamites; those dwelling in Mesopotamia, in Judea and Cappadocia, in Pontus and Asia,
10 ⲓ̅ ⲧⲉⲫⲣⲩⲅⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲡⲁⲙⲫⲩⲗⲓⲁ ⲕⲏⲙⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲧⲗⲓⲃⲩⲏ ⲉⲧϩⲛ ⲧⲕⲩⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϩⲣⲱⲙⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲧⲁⲓ
in Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene; and visitors from Rome—both Jews and proselytes—
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲡⲣⲟⲥⲩⲗⲩⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲕⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲥ ⲧⲛⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲁⲥⲡⲉ ⲉⲩⲧⲁⲩⲟ ⲛⲙⲙⲛⲧⲛⲟϭ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
Cretans and Arabians; we hear them declaring the great works of God in our own languages.”
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲡⲱϣⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲁⲡⲟⲣⲣⲓ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲛⲁϩⲣⲛ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲓϩⲱⲃ
Yes they were all amazed and perplexed, saying one to another, “Whatever is going on?”
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩⲛⲟϭⲛⲉϭ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲙⲉϩ ⲛⲙⲣⲓⲥ
But different ones were jeering, saying, “They are full of sweet wine!”
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁϥⲁϩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲙⲛⲧⲟⲩⲉ ⲁϥϥⲓ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲥⲙⲏ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲏϩ ϩⲛ ⲑⲓⲗⲏⲙ ⲙⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲓ ⲥⲙⲏ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲁϫⲉ
So Peter, standing with the eleven, raised his voice and proclaimed to them: “Men—Jews and all who are dwelling in Jerusalem—let this be known to you; indeed, listen to my speech!
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛⲉⲣⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲁϩⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲡϣⲟⲙⲧⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲉ
Because these are not drunk, as you suppose (since it is only the third hour of the day),
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲟⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲓⲱⲏⲗ ⲡⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ
but this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel:
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ϫⲉ ⲥⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲡⲱϩⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲁⲡⲛⲁ ⲉϫⲛ ⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲥⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲛϣⲉⲉⲣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲛϩⲣϣⲓⲣⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉϩⲉⲛϩⲟⲣⲟⲥⲓⲥ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲛϩⲗⲗⲟ ⲡⲱⲱⲣⲉ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩ
‘It will be in the last days, says God: I will pour out from my Spirit upon all flesh; your sons and your daughters will prophesy; your young men will see visions; your old men will dream a dream.
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ϯⲛⲁⲡⲱϩⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲁⲡⲛⲁ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲛⲁϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲁϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲛⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲥⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲉⲩⲉ
In those days I will indeed pour out from my Spirit upon my male slaves and upon my female slaves, and they will prophesy.
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲧⲁϯ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲉⲛϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ϩⲓϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲟⲩⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲕⲱϩⲧ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲗϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲕⲁⲡⲛⲟⲥ `
I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below: blood and fire and smoke vapor.
20 ⲕ̅ ⲡⲣⲏ ⲛⲁⲕⲧⲟϥ ⲉⲩⲕⲁⲕⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲟⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲙⲡⲁⲧϥⲉⲓ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲛⲟϭ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into ‘blood’ before the great and glorious day of the Lord will come.
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲥⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲛⲁⲱϣ ⲙⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϥⲛⲁⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ
And it will be: whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved!’
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲏⲗ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲁϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲛⲁⲍⲱⲣⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲁⲩⲧⲟϣϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ϩⲉⲛϭⲟⲙ ⲙⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲙⲛ ϩⲉⲛϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲙⲏⲧⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ
“Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Natsorean, a man from God attested to you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in your midst, as you yourselves well know,
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ϩⲙ ⲡϣⲟϫⲛⲉ ⲉⲧⲧⲏϣ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲛϭⲓϫ ⲛⲁⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲧϥ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲙⲟⲩⲟⲩⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
Him—being delivered up by the established purpose and foreknowledge of God—you murdered, having taken Him with lawless hands and crucified Him;
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥϥ ⲉⲁϥⲃⲱⲗ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲛⲁⲁⲕⲉ ⲙⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲙⲛϣϭⲟⲙ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ
whom God raised up, ending the labor pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ⲅⲁⲣ ϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲁⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ϫⲉ ϥϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲛⲁⲙ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲁⲕⲓⲙ
For David says concerning Him: ‘I always saw the Lord before my face, because He is at my right side so that I not be shaken.
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲁⲡⲁϩⲏⲧ ⲉⲩⲫⲣⲁⲛⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲡⲁⲗⲁⲥ ⲧⲉⲗⲏⲗ ⲉⲧⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲁⲕⲉⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱϩ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ
Therefore my heart was glad and my tongue rejoiced. Furthermore, even my flesh will repose upon hope,
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ϫⲉ ⲛⲅⲛⲁⲕⲱ ⲛⲥⲱⲕ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲧⲁⲯⲩⲭⲏ ϩⲛ ⲁⲙⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲛⲅⲛⲁϯ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲧⲁⲕⲟ (Hadēs g86)
because You will not abandon my soul in Hades, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see decay. (Hadēs g86)
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲕⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲉϩⲓⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲙⲡⲱⲛϩ ⲕⲛⲁϫⲟⲕⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩⲛⲟϥ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲟ
You have made known to me roads of life; with Your presence You make me full of gladness.’
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ϣϣⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲛϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲡⲁⲧⲣⲓⲁⲣⲭⲏⲥ ⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲧⲟⲙⲥϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϥⲙϩⲁⲁⲩ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲛ ϣⲁϩⲣⲁⲓ̣̈ ⲉⲡⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ
“Men, brothers, be it permitted to speak to you plainly about the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.
30 ⲗ̅ ⲉⲩⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϭⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲛⲁϣ ⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲱⲣⲕ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉⲑⲙⲥⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲉϥϯⲡⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲉϥⲑⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ
So then, he being a prophet and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath that of the fruit, according to flesh, of his loins He would raise up the Messiah to sit on his throne,
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁϥϣⲣⲡⲉⲓⲙⲉ ⲁϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲧⲁⲛⲁⲥⲧⲁⲥⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲕⲁⲁϥ ϩⲛ ⲁⲙⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲉϥⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲧⲁⲕⲟ (Hadēs g86)
he foreseeing this spoke about the resurrection of the Messiah, that His soul was not abandoned in Hades, nor did His flesh see decay. (Hadēs g86)
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥϥ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲛϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛⲁϥ ⲧⲏⲣⲛ ⲙⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ
“This Jesus God raised, to which we all are witnesses.
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲉⲁϥϫⲓⲥⲉ ϭⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲧⲟⲩⲛⲁⲙ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁϥϫⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲏⲧ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲁϥⲡⲱϩⲧ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲧⲁⲓⲟ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲱⲧⲙ
Therefore, having been exalted to God's right hand, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this that you now see and hear.
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ ϥϫⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲁϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲟⲩⲛⲁⲙ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ
Further, David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says: ‘The Lord said to my Lord: Sit at my right hand
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ϣⲁⲛϯⲕⲱ ⲛⲛⲉⲕϫⲁϫⲉ ⲛϩⲩⲡⲟⲡⲟⲇⲓⲟⲛ ⲛⲛⲉⲕⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ
until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.’
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲣϫ ϭⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲉⲓⲙⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲙⲡⲓⲏⲗ ϫⲉ ⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲁϥ ⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲭⲣⲏⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⳁⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made Him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified!”
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲩⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲙⲡⲉⲩϩⲏⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲕⲉⲥⲉⲉⲡⲉ ⲛⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ
Now upon hearing this they were cut to the heart and said to Peter, and the rest of the Apostles, “Men, brothers, what shall we do?!”
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲙⲉⲧⲁⲛⲟⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛϫⲓ ⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲉⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲉⲡⲕⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲧⲇⲱⲣⲉⲁ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ
So Peter said to them: “Repent and be baptized, each one of you, upon the name of Jesus Christ, for forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲣⲏⲧ ⲅⲁⲣ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲙⲡⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲁⲧⲁϩⲙⲟⲩ
For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far away—as many, that is, as the Lord our God may call.”
40 ⲙ̅ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ϩⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲕⲉⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲉϥⲣⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϥⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲓⲅⲉⲛⲉⲁ ⲉⲧϭⲟⲟⲙⲉ
With many different words he both testified and kept exhorting, saying, “Escape from this perverse generation!”
41 ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩϣⲱⲡ ϭⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲉϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲁϣⲙⲧϣⲟ ⲙⲯⲩⲭⲏ
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized, and that day about three thousand souls were added.
42 ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲉⲩϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲩⲡⲣⲟⲥⲕⲁⲣⲧⲉⲣⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲕⲟⲓⲛⲱⲛⲓⲁ ⲙⲡⲡⲱϣ ⲙⲡⲟⲉⲓⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ
And they continued steadfastly in the Apostles' teaching and in the fellowship, both in the breaking of the bread and in the prayers.
43 ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲙ ⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲁϩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ϩⲓ ϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ
Fear came upon every soul—many wonders and signs were taking place through the Apostles.
44 ⲙ̅ⲇ̅ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲡⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲩⲉⲣⲏⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲕⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛⲁⲩ ϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲡ
Now all who believed were together and had all things in common;
45 ⲙ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩϭⲟⲟⲙ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲩϩⲩⲡⲁⲣⲭⲟⲛⲧⲁ ⲛⲉⲩϯ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩⲧⲱϣ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϫⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲣⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ
they started selling both possessions and goods and were distributing to all according as anyone had need.
46 ⲙ̅ⲋ̅ ⲙⲙⲏⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲡⲣⲟⲥⲕⲁⲣⲧⲉⲣⲓ ϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲡ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲙ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲉⲩⲡⲱϣ ⲙⲡⲟⲉⲓⲕ ⲉⲩϫⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲧⲣⲟⲫⲏ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲧⲉⲗⲏⲗ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲙⲛⲧϩⲁⲡⲗⲟⲩⲥ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲩϩⲏⲧ
So day by day they continued steadfastly with one purpose in the temple and broke bread from house to house; they received their share of food with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 ⲙ̅ⲍ̅ ⲉⲩⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲩⲛⲧⲟⲩ ⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲛⲁϩⲣⲙ ⲡⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉϥⲟⲩⲱϩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲙⲙⲏⲛⲉ ϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲡ
praising God and having favor with all the people. And day by day the Lord added to the Church those who were being saved.
