1 ⲁ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲕⲁⲧⲁⲛⲧⲁ ⲉⲇⲉⲣⲃⲏ ⲙⲛ ⲗⲩⲥⲧⲣⲁ ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲓⲙⲟⲑⲉⲟⲥ ⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲧⲏ ⲡⲉϥⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲓⲉⲛⲓⲛ ⲡⲉ
So he came to Derbe and Lystra. Well now, a certain disciple was there named Timothy, son of a certain Jewish woman who believed, but his father was a Greek;
2 ⲃ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲉⲩⲣⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲧϩⲛ ⲗⲩⲥⲇⲣⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ϩⲓⲕⲟⲛⲓⲟⲥ
he was well spoken of by the brothers in Lystra and Iconium.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲁⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϫⲓⲧϥ ⲁϥⲥⲃⲃⲏⲧϥ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲉⲩⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲓⲉⲛⲓⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉϥⲉⲓⲱⲧ
Paul wanted to have him go on with him, so he took and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those parts, because they all knew that his father was a Greek.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲛⲏⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲙⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲩϯ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲛⲇⲟⲅⲙⲁ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲛⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲉⲧϩⲛ ⲑⲓⲗⲏⲙ
As they were going through the cities they were delivering the dogmas to them, to keep—the ones that had been determined by the apostles and the elders in Jerusalem.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲛⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ϭⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ ⲡⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩⲣϩⲟⲩⲟ ϩⲛ ⲧⲏⲡⲉ ⲙⲙⲏⲛⲉ
So the congregations kept on being strengthened in the faith, and were increasing in number daily.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲧⲉⲫⲣⲩⲅⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲉⲭⲱⲣⲁ ⲛⲧⲅⲁⲗⲁⲧⲓⲁ ⲉⲁⲩⲕⲱⲗⲩ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲉⲧⲙϫⲉ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲁⲥⲓⲁ
Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia,
7 ⲍ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲙⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲡⲓⲣⲁⲍⲉ ⲉⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲃⲩⲑⲩⲛⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡϥⲕⲁⲁⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ
they approached Mysia and tried to go to Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them.
8 ⲏ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲁⲁⲧ ⲧⲙⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲣⲱⲁⲥ
So they bypassed Mysia and went down to Troas.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲁⲩϩⲟⲣⲟⲙⲁ ϭⲱⲗⲡ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲕⲉⲇⲱⲛ ⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉϥⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲁⲕⲉⲇⲟⲛⲓⲁ ⲛⲅⲃⲟⲏⲑⲓ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ
A vision appeared to Paul during the night: a man of Macedonia was standing, appealing to him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”
10 ⲓ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥϫⲱ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ⲙⲡϩⲟⲣⲟⲙⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲛϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲧⲙⲁⲕⲉⲇⲟⲛⲓⲁ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲙⲟ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲧⲁϩⲙⲛ ⲉⲧⲁϣⲉⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲁⲩ
So when he saw the vision, we immediately prepared to go over to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to evangelize them.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲛⲕⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲣⲱⲁⲥ ⲁⲛⲥϭⲏⲣ ⲉⲥⲁⲙⲟⲑⲣⲁⲕⲏ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲥⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲛⲉⲁⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ
So setting sail from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and the next day to Neapolis;
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲇⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲛⲉⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲁⲗⲟⲛⲓⲁ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ⲧϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲛⲧⲙⲉⲣⲓⲥ ⲛⲧⲙⲁⲕⲉⲇⲟⲛⲓⲁ ⲛⲉⲛϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲇⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲓⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲛϩⲉⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ
and from there to Philippi, which is the foremost city of that part of Macedonia, a colony. We stayed some days in that city.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲙⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲛⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ⲁⲛⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲧⲡⲩⲗⲏ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲓⲉⲣⲟ ⲉⲩⲙⲁ ⲉϣⲁⲛϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲛϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲁⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉϩⲓⲟⲙⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϣⲁⲣⲟⲛ
On the Sabbath day we went outside the city by a river, where prayer was customarily made, and sitting down we started speaking to the assembled women.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲗⲩⲇⲓⲁ ⲟⲩⲥⲁ ⲛϫⲏϭⲉ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲛⲑⲩⲁⲧⲓⲣⲁ ⲉⲥϣⲙϣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲥϩⲏⲧ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲥϯϩⲧⲏⲥ ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ
A certain woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God, really listened, whose heart the Lord opened to give heed to the things spoken by Paul.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲥϫⲓ ⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲥⲏⲓ ⲁⲥⲥⲉⲡⲥⲱⲡⲛ ⲉⲥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲉⲁⲁ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲧⲏ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲙⲏⲓⲧⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲁⲏⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲥⲥⲱⲕ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲛϫⲛⲁϩ
When she and her household were baptized, she appealed saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay.” So she persuaded us.
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲟⲩϣⲉⲉⲣⲉ ϣⲏⲙ ⲉⲣⲉⲟⲩⲡⲛⲁ ⲛⲣⲉϥϣⲓⲛⲉ ϩⲓⲱⲱⲥ ⲁⲥⲧⲱⲙⲛⲧ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲉⲛⲉⲥϯ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲛⲟϭ ⲛϩⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛⲛⲉⲥϫⲓⲥⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲉⲥϣⲓⲛⲉ
Now it happened, as we were going to prayer, that a certain slave girl having a spirit of divination met us, who brought considerable profit to her owners by divination.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲁⲥⲟⲩⲁϩⲥ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲛ ⲁⲥⲁϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲓⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛϩⲙϩⲁⲗⲛⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲧϫⲟⲥⲉ ⲉⲩⲧⲁϣⲉⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲛⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲙⲡⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ
Following Paul and Silas this girl kept calling out, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are proclaiming to us the way of salvation!”
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲛⲉⲥⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ⲛϩⲁϩ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϩⲟϫϩϫ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲕⲧⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ϫⲉ ϯⲡⲁⲣⲁⲅⲅⲓⲗⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ϩⲙ ⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲛⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲕⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲥ
She kept this up for many days! So Paul, becoming increasingly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” And it came out that very hour.
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉⲥϫⲓⲥⲟⲟⲩⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁⲥⲃⲱⲕ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲑⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲩϩⲱⲃ ⲁⲩⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲥⲓⲗⲁⲥ ⲁⲩⲥⲱⲕ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲁⲅⲟⲣⲁ ⲛⲛⲁϩⲣⲛ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲱⲛ
But when her owners saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the market place to the rulers,
20 ⲕ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲉⲥⲇⲣⲁⲧⲏⲅⲟⲥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲓⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϩⲉⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲥⲉϣⲧⲟⲣⲧⲣ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ
and bringing them before the magistrates they said, “These men, being Jews, are agitating our city,
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲥⲉⲧⲁϣⲉⲟⲓϣ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲥⲱⲛⲧ ⲛⲥⲧⲟ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲉϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲏ ⲉⲁⲁⲩ ⲉⲁⲛⲟⲛ ϩⲉⲛϩⲣⲱⲙⲁⲓⲟⲥ
and are advocating customs that are not lawful for us, being Romans, to receive or do.”
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲱⲧ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲥⲧⲣⲁⲧⲏⲅⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲡⲉϩ ⲛⲉⲩϩⲟⲓⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲉϩ ⲥⲁϩⲛⲉ ⲉϩⲓⲟⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲉⲛϭⲉⲣⲟⲟⲃ
The crowd joined in the attack against them, and the magistrates tore the clothes off of them and ordered a beating with rods.
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩϫⲛⲁⲩ ϩⲁϩ ⲛⲥⲏϣⲉ ⲁⲩⲛⲟϫⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲉϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲉⲁⲩⲡⲁⲣⲁⲅⲅⲓⲗⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲧϩⲓϫⲙ ⲡⲉϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲉϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲣϫ
When they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them securely;
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥϫⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲁϥⲛⲟϫⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲉϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲉⲧϩⲓϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲁϫⲣⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϣⲉ
who, having received such a charge, threw them into the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲁϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲥⲓⲗⲁⲥ ⲛⲉⲩϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲏⲣ
Well about midnight Paul and Silas were singing hymns to God in prayer; and the other prisoners were listening to them.
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϣⲥⲛⲉ ⲁⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲕⲙⲧⲟ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲛⲥⲉⲛⲟⲉⲓⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲥⲛⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲁⲛⲣⲟ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲙⲣⲣⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲗ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
Suddenly there was a great earthquake, enough to shake the foundations of the prison; immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed.
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲧϩⲓϫⲙ ⲡⲉϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲛⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲉϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲉⲩⲟⲩⲏⲛ ⲁϥⲧⲉⲕⲙ ⲧⲉϥⲥⲏϥⲉ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉϥⲛⲁϩⲟⲧⲃⲉϥ ⲉϥⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲉⲧⲙⲏⲣ ⲡⲱⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
But the jailer, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, drew sword, intending to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲥⲙⲏ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲣⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲙⲡⲉⲑⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲛⲙⲡⲉⲓⲙⲁ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲏⲣⲛ
But Paul shouted out, “Don't harm yourself, because we are all here!”
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁϥϫⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲱϩⲧ ⲁϥⲡⲱⲧ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲡⲁϩⲧϥ ϩⲁⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲥⲓⲗⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲥⲧⲱⲧ
So calling for a light he ran in and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas.
30 ⲗ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲛⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁϫⲓⲥⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲉϣϣⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲉⲁⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲉⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ
He then brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲕⲛⲁⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲕⲏⲓ
So they said, “Believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.”
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩϫⲱ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲙⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧϩⲙ ⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ
Then they spoke the Word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁϥϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ⲁϥϫⲟⲕⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲩⲥⲏϣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲁϥϫⲓ ⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲉ
In that same hour of the night he took them aside and washed their wounds, and thereupon he and all his family were baptized.
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁϥϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲁϥⲕⲱ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲧⲣⲁⲡⲉⲍⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϥⲧⲉⲗⲏⲗ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲁϥⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ
Then he brought them into his house and set a meal before them, and he was really rejoicing, having believed in God with his whole family.
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϩⲧⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲁⲛⲉⲥⲧⲣⲁⲧⲏⲅⲟⲥ ϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲉⲛϥⲁⲓϣⲃⲱⲧ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲁ ⲛⲉⲓⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
Now when it was day the magistrates sent the officers saying, “Let those men go.”
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲡⲉⲧϩⲓϫⲙ ⲡⲉϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲧⲁⲙⲉ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲛⲉⲓϣⲁϫⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲉⲥⲧⲣⲁⲧⲏⲅⲟⲥ ⲧⲁⲩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲕⲁⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲁⲙⲏⲓⲧⲛ ⲃⲱⲕ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲉⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ
So the jailer reported these words to Paul, “The magistrates have sent to release you; so now you can leave and go in peace.”
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩϩⲓⲟⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ⲇⲏⲙⲟⲥⲓⲁ ⲉⲁⲛⲟⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛϩⲣⲱⲙⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲉⲙⲛ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ⲁⲩⲛⲟϫⲛ ⲉⲡⲉϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϫⲓⲟⲩⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩⲉⲓ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲉⲛⲧⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
But Paul said to them: “After severely beating us in public, although we were uncondemned Romans, they threw us into prison, and now do they toss us out on the sly? No way! Rather, let them come themselves and escort us out!”
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩⲣϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲁⲙⲉ ⲛⲉⲥⲧⲣⲁⲧⲏⲅⲟⲥ ⲉⲛⲉⲓϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ϫⲉ ϩⲉⲛϩⲣⲱⲙⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲛⲉ
So the officers reported these words to the magistrates, and they were afraid when they heard that they were Romans;
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲡⲁⲣⲁⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲛⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲥⲉⲡⲥⲱⲡⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ
and they came and appealed to them, and leading them out they asked them to leave the city.
40 ⲙ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲁ ⲗⲩⲇⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲁⲩⲥⲉⲡⲥⲱⲡⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
So exiting the prison they entered Lydia's place, and upon seeing the brothers they encouraged them and departed.
