1 ⲁ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲇⲉ ϩⲛ ⲕⲁⲓⲥⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲟⲥ ⲟⲩϩⲉⲕⲁⲧⲟⲛⲧⲁⲣⲭⲟⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲥⲡⲓⲣⲏ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧϩⲓⲧⲁⲗⲓⲕⲏ
Now there was a certain man in Caesarea named Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment,
2 ⲃ̅ ⲉⲩⲉⲩⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲉϥⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲉϣⲁϥⲣϩⲁϩ ⲙⲙⲛⲧⲛⲁ ⲙⲡⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ
devout and fearing God with all his household, both giving alms generously to the people and praying to God about everything.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩϩⲟⲣⲟⲙⲁ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϫⲡⲯⲓⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲉ
About the ninth hour of the day, in a vision, he saw clearly an angel of God entering his presence and saying to him, “Cornelius!”
4 ⲇ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϭⲱϣⲧ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϩⲣⲁϥ ⲁϥⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲕϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲕⲙⲛⲧⲛⲁ ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲩⲣ ⲡⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
Well, staring at him and being frightened he said, “What is it, Lord?” So he said to him: “Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲙⲁϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲓⲟⲡⲡⲏ ⲛⲅⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲉϣⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ
Now send men to Joppa and summon Simon, who is surnamed Peter;
6 ⲋ̅ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲏϩ ϩⲁⲧⲛ ⲟⲩⲁ ϫⲉ ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲃⲁⲕϣⲁⲁⲣ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ϩⲓϫⲛ ⲑⲁⲗⲁⲥⲥⲁ
he is lodging with one Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea.”
7 ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲧϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲛⲉϥϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ ⲛⲣⲙⲛⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲡⲣⲟⲥⲕⲁⲣⲧⲉⲣⲓ ⲉⲣⲟϥ
So when the angel who spoke to him had departed, Cornelius called two of his household servants and a devout soldier from among those who were faithful to him,
8 ⲏ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϫⲉ ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩⲥⲉ ⲉⲓⲟⲡⲡⲏ
and explaining everything to them he sent them to Joppa.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲥⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧϫⲉⲛⲉⲡⲱⲣ ⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲙⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϫⲡⲥⲟ
Now on the next day, as they were traveling and drawing near to the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray at about noon.
10 ⲓ̅ ⲁϥϩⲕⲟ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲣϩⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲉⲩⲥⲟⲃⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲁⲩⲉⲅⲥⲧⲁⲥⲓⲥ ϩⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱϥ
Well he became hungry and wanted to eat; but while they were preparing, a trance fell on him,
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲡⲉ ⲉⲥⲟⲩⲏⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲥⲕⲉⲩⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲙⲏⲣ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲟⲡ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛϩⲃⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲭⲁⲗⲁ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ
and he saw the heaven opened and a container like a great sheet descending to him—it was tied at the four corners and was being let down to the earth—
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲧⲃⲛⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲁⲧϥⲉ ⲙⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲙⲛ ⲛϩⲁⲗⲁⲧⲉ ⲛⲧⲡⲉ
in which were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth (both wild animals and reptiles) and birds of the sky.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁⲩⲥⲙⲏ ⲇⲉ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲉ ϣⲱⲱⲧ ⲛⲅⲟⲩⲱⲙ
Then a voice came to him, “Get up, Peter, slaughter and eat!”
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲱⲣ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲓⲟⲩⲉⲙ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲉϥϫⲁϩⲙ ⲏ ⲛⲁⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲧⲟⲛ
But Peter said: “No way, Lord! Never have I eaten anything ‘common’ or unclean!”
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲧⲉⲥⲙⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲛ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲙⲡⲙⲉϩⲥⲉⲡⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲧⲃⲃⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲙⲡⲣϫⲁϩⲙⲟⲩ
So the voice came to him a second time, “What (pl) God has made clean you must not call ‘common’!”
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛϣⲙⲧⲥⲱⲱⲡ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲡⲉⲥⲕⲉⲩⲟⲥ ⲟⲛ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲡⲉ
Well this happened three times, and then the object was taken back up into the sky.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲁⲡⲟⲣⲣⲓ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲓϩⲟⲣⲟⲙⲁ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲧⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲟⲥ ⲁⲩϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲛⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲉⲣⲙⲡⲣⲟ
Now as Peter was really perplexed within himself as to what the vision that he had seen might mean, well the men who had been sent by Cornelius, having inquired and found Simon's house, stood before the gate,
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϫⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲟⲩⲏϩ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲙⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲉϣⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ
and calling out they inquired whether Simon, who was surnamed Peter, was staying there as a guest.
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲟⲕⲙⲉⲕ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡϩⲟⲣⲟⲙⲁ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲥⲉϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲱⲕ
So as Peter was pondering the vision the Spirit said to him: “Listen, some men are looking for you;
20 ⲕ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲅⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲛⲅⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲅⲇⲓⲁⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥⲉ
so get up and go downstairs; and go with them, doubting nothing, for I have sent them.”
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲱⲓ ⲟⲩ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲗⲟⲓϭⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲧⲉⲛⲉⲓ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧⲥ
So going down to the men Peter said: “Yes, I am the one you are looking for. For what reason have you come?”
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲟⲥ ⲟⲩϩⲉⲕⲁⲧⲟⲛⲧⲁⲣⲭⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲩⲣⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉⲁⲩⲧⲥⲉⲃⲉ ⲉⲓⲁⲧϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲉⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉϩⲉⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧⲕ
So they said: “Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous and God-fearing man, well spoken of by all the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by an angel to summon you to his house, and to hear words from you.”
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϭⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲁϥϣⲟⲡⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲥⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲟⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲓⲟⲡⲡⲏ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ
So he invited them in and put them up. The next day Peter set out with them, also some of the brothers from Joppa went with him;
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲥⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲕⲁⲓⲥⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲟⲥ ϭⲉ ⲛⲉϥϭⲱϣⲧ ϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲁϥⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲛⲉϥⲥⲩⲅⲅⲉⲛⲏⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉϥϣⲃⲏⲣ ⲁⲛⲁⲅⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ
and the following day they entered Caesarea. Now Cornelius was waiting for them, having called together his relatives and close friends.
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲟⲥ ⲧⲱⲙⲛⲧ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲡⲁϩⲧϥ ϩⲁⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲛⲁϥ
So when Peter actually arrived, Cornelius met him, fell at his feet and worshiped.
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥϥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛⲅ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱⲱⲧ ⲟⲛ ⲁⲛⲅ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ
But Peter lifted him up, saying: “Stand up! I myself am also a man.”
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲉϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϩⲉ ⲉⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲉⲩⲥⲟⲟⲩϩ
And conversing with him he went in and found many gathered there.
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩϣⲗⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱϩ ⲏ ⲉϯ ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲉⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲁⲗⲗⲟⲫⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲥⲁⲃⲟⲓ ⲉⲧⲙⲉⲡⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ϥϫⲁϩⲙ ⲏ ⲟⲩⲁⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲧⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ
Then he said to them: “You know how it is unlawful for a Jewish man to associate with or to approach a different race; but God has shown me that I should not call any man ‘common’ or unclean.
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓ ⲛⲥⲱⲓ ⲁⲓⲉⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲉϣ ⲛⲗⲟⲓϭⲉ ϯϫⲛⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩ ⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ
Therefore also I came without objection as soon as I was sent for. So I ask, for what reason did you send for me?”
30 ⲗ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϫⲓⲛ ϥⲧⲉⲩ ⲉⲡⲟⲟⲩ ϣⲁϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲓⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲓⲛⲏⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲓϣⲗⲏⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲁⲏⲓ ⲙⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϫⲡⲯⲓⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉϥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲁⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲃⲥⲱ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲃϣ
So Cornelius said: “I have been fasting during four days until this very hour; yes, it was the ninth hour, I was praying in my house when wow, a man stood before me in shining clothing
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲉ ⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲡⲉⲕϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲕⲙⲛⲧⲛⲁ ⲁⲩⲣ ⲡⲉⲩⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
and said: ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your alms are remembered before God.
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲙⲁϫⲟⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲉⲓⲟⲡⲡⲏ ⲛⲅⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲏϩ ϩⲙ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲛⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲃⲁⲕϣⲁⲁⲕ ϩⲁⲧⲛ ⲑⲁⲗⲁⲥⲥⲁ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲩ ⲛϥϫⲱ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛϩⲉⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲕⲛⲁⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ
Send therefore to Joppa and summon Simon, who is surnamed Peter. He is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea; upon arriving he will speak to you.’
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲓⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲟⲕ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲕⲁⲗⲱⲥ ⲁⲕⲁⲁⲥ ⲁⲕⲉⲓ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲟⲩⲉϩ ⲥⲁϩⲛⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
So I sent to you at once, and you did well to come. Now then, we are all present before God to hear all the things commanded you by God.”
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲣⲱϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉ ϯⲉⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲉϥϫⲓϩⲟ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
So opening his mouth Peter said: “Really, I comprehend that God is not One to show partiality,
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲧⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲣϩⲱⲃ ⲉⲧⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ ϥϣⲏⲡ ⲛⲛⲁϩⲣⲁϥ

that spoken word you know, that was proclaimed throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee, after the baptism that John preached:

44 ⲙ̅ⲇ̅ ⲉⲧⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲱ ⲛⲛⲉⲓϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ϩⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲡϣⲁϫⲉ
While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all who were hearing the message.
45 ⲙ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲡⲱϣⲥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲥⲃⲃⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲧⲇⲱⲣⲉⲁ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲡⲱϩⲧ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲛⲕⲉϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ
Well the believers of the circumcision [Jews] who had come with Peter were astonished, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had also been poured out on the Gentiles,
46 ⲙ̅ⲋ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲕⲉⲁⲥⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲩϯ ⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ
in that they heard them speaking languages and magnifying God. Then Peter responded:
