1 ⲁ̅ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ϣⲗⲏⲗ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲛ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥϫⲓⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥϫⲓ ϩⲁⲧⲉ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ
Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be glorified, even as also with you,
2 ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲛⲉⲛⲟⲩϩⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲧϣⲧⲣⲧⲱⲣ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲟⲥ ⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲁⲛ ⲧⲉ
and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men; for not all have faith.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲟⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲛⲁⲧⲁϫⲣⲉ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲡⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲟⲥ
But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲧⲛⲛⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩⲉϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲁⲁⲩ
We have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you both do and will do the things we command.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥⲉⲥⲟⲟⲩⲧⲛ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲑⲩⲡⲟⲙⲟⲛⲏ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ
May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and into the perseverance of Christ.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲧⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲅⲅⲉⲓⲗⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ϩⲙ ⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲉⲥⲁϩⲉ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲥⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲁⲧⲁⲕⲧⲱⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲛⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲧⲉⲥⲃⲱ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲓⲧⲥ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲧⲛ
Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother who walks in rebellion and not after the tradition which they received from us.
7 ⲍ̅ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ϣϣⲉ ⲛⲁϣ ⲛϩⲉ ⲉⲧⲛⲧⲛ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲁⲧⲁⲕⲧⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ
For you know how you ought to imitate us. For we didn’t behave ourselves rebelliously among you,
8 ⲏ̅ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲕ ⲛϫⲓⲛϫⲏ ⲛⲧⲛ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲉⲛⲣϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲛϩⲣⲟϣ ⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ
neither did we eat bread from anyone’s hand without paying for it, but in labor and travail worked night and day, that we might not burden any of you.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲙⲛⲧⲁⲛ ⲧⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲁⲁⲛ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲛⲥⲙⲟⲧ ⲉⲧⲛⲧⲛ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ
This was not because we don’t have the right, but to make ourselves an example to you, that you should imitate us.
10 ⲓ̅ ⲕⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲛϩⲁⲧⲉ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲛⲉⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲅⲅⲉⲓⲗⲉ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲙⲡⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛϥⲟⲩⲉϣⲣϩⲱⲃ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲧⲣⲉϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ
For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: “If anyone is not willing to work, don’t let him eat.”
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲧⲛⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ϩⲟⲓⲛⲉ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲁⲧⲁⲕⲧⲱⲥ ⲛⲥⲉⲣⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲩⲟ ⲛⲣⲉϥⲧⲱϩ
For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲉⲓⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲧⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲅⲅⲉⲓⲗⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲙⲡⲁⲣⲁⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲙ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲩⲣϩⲱⲃ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲥϭ ⲣⲁϩⲧ ⲛⲥⲉⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲙⲡⲉⲩⲟⲉⲓⲕ
Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲙⲡⲣⲉⲅⲕⲁϭⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩϥ
But you, brothers, don’t be weary in doing what is right.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲛϥⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲡⲁⲓ ϯⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲧⲙⲧⲱϩ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲉϣⲓ ⲡⲉ
If any man doesn’t obey our word in this letter, note that man and have no company with him, to the end that he may be ashamed.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲣⲟⲡϥ ϩⲱⲥ ϫⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϯ ⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲁϥ ϩⲱⲥ ⲥⲟⲛ
Don’t count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲛϯⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲉϥⲉϯ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲛϯⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲛ ⲥⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲛⲙⲙⲏⲧⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲧⲛ
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲡⲁⲥⲡⲁⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓⲥϩⲁⲉⲓϥ ⲛⲧⲁϭⲓϫ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ϩⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲉⲓⲥϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲉⲓϩⲉ
I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand, which is the sign in every letter. This is how I write.
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲛⲙⲙⲏ ⲧⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲧⲛ
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
