1 ⲁ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲧⲇⲓⲁⲕⲟⲛⲓⲁ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲟⲩϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲥϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ
NOW concerning the contribution for the saints, it is superfluous for me to write unto you.
2 ⲃ̅ ϯⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩⲣⲟⲧ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉϯϣⲟⲩϣⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ϩⲛ ⲙⲙⲁⲕⲉⲇⲱⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁⲧⲁⲭⲁⲓⲁ ⲥⲃⲧⲱⲧⲥ ϫⲓⲛ ⲥⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲡⲉⲧⲛⲕⲱϩ ⲧⲃⲥ ⲟⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ
For I know your readiness of mind, for which I boast of you to the Macedonians, that Achaia had made preparation a year ago; and your zeal hath stirred up very many.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲁⲓⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲛⲛⲉ ⲡⲉⲛϣⲟⲩϣⲟⲩ ⲱϫⲛ ⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲉⲓⲥⲁ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲉⲓϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲃⲧⲱⲧ
But I have sent the brethren, that our glorying in you might not be vain in this matter; that as I have said, ye may be prepared.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲙⲏⲡⲟⲧⲉ ⲛⲥⲉⲉⲓ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲓ ⲛϭⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲕⲉⲇⲱⲛ ⲛⲥⲉϩⲉ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲃⲧⲱⲧ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲧⲛϫⲓϣⲓⲡⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲓⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲛϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ
Lest haply if the Macedonians come with me, and find you unprepared, we (not to say, you) may be confounded in this confidence of boasting. I
5 ⲉ̅ ⲁⲓⲟⲡϥ ϭⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲛⲁⲅⲕⲁⲓⲟⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲥⲉⲡⲥ ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲩⲉϣⲣⲡⲉⲓ ϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲛⲥⲉϣⲣⲡⲥⲟⲃⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲣⲏⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϫⲓⲛ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉϥⲥⲃⲧⲱⲧ ⲛⲧⲉⲉⲓϩⲉ ϩⲱⲥ ⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲱⲥ ϫⲓ ⲛϭⲟⲛⲥ ⲁⲛ
have thought it necessary therefore to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and prepare before your promised bounty, that it may be ready as a matter of bounty, and not as extorted of covetousness.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧϫⲟ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϯⲥⲟ ⲉϥⲛⲁⲱϩⲥ ⲟⲛ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϯⲥⲟ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧϫⲟ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲛⲁⲱϩⲥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲙⲟⲩ
But this I add, He that soweth sparingly, shall reap also sparingly, and he that soweth bountifully, shall reap also bountifully.
7 ⲍ̅ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲟϣϥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϥϩⲏⲧ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲗⲩⲡⲏ ⲁⲛ ⲏ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲧⲟⲣ ⲟⲩⲣⲉϥϯ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉϥⲣⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
Let every man, as he hath purposed in heart, give, not with reluctance or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 ⲏ̅ ⲟⲩⲛ ϭⲟⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲁϣⲉ ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ϩⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲩⲛⲧⲏⲧⲛ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲣⲱϣⲉ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲣϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲛ
And God is able to make all grace abound towards you; that in every case having always all sufficiency, ye may abound unto every good work:
9 ⲑ̅ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲥⲏϩ ϫⲉ ⲁϥϫⲱⲱⲣⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁϥϯ ⲛⲛϩⲏⲕⲉ ⲧⲉϥⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ (aiōn )
as it is written, “He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the poor, his righteousness abideth for ever.” (aiōn )
10 ⲓ̅ ⲡⲉⲧϯ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϭⲣⲟϭ ⲙⲡⲉⲧϫⲟ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲕ ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲙϥ ϥⲛⲁϯ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥⲧⲁϣⲟ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛϫⲟ ⲛϥⲁⲩⲝⲁⲛⲉ ⲛⲛⲅⲉⲛⲏⲙⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ
Now he that supplieth seed to the sower, shall also supply bread for food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness,
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲟ ⲛⲣⲙⲙⲁⲟ ϩⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲙⲛⲧϩⲁⲡⲗⲟⲩⲥ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲣϩⲱⲃ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓ ⲧⲟⲟⲧⲛ ⲉⲩϣⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
being in every thing enriched unto all liberality, which causeth by us thanksgiving to God.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ϫⲉ ⲧⲇⲓⲁⲕⲟⲛⲓⲁ ⲙⲡⲉⲓϣⲙϣⲉ ⲛⲉⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲥϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲉϭⲣⲱϩ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲥⲣⲡⲕⲉⲣϩⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ϩⲁϩ ⲛϣⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
For the ministration of this charitable service not only abundantly supplies the deficiencies of the saints, but also overflows with many thanksgivings to God;
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧⲥ ⲛⲧⲇⲟⲕⲓⲙⲏ ⲛⲧⲉⲉⲓⲇⲓⲁⲕⲟⲛⲓⲁ ⲉⲛϯ ⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉϫⲛ ⲑⲩⲡⲟⲧⲁⲅⲏ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛϩⲟⲙⲟⲗⲟⲅⲓⲁ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲙⲛⲧϩⲁⲡⲗⲟⲩⲥ ⲛⲧⲕⲟⲓⲛⲱⲛⲓⲁ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ
(while by the evidence of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberality towards them, and towards all men; )
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉⲩⲥⲟⲡⲥ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲩⲟⲩⲉ ϣⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲱⲥ ⲉϫⲛ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ
and with their prayers for you, greatly longing after you, on account of the transcendent grace of God in you.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲡⲉϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϣⲏⲡ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲇⲱⲣⲉⲁ ⲉⲧⲉⲛⲧⲛⲛⲁϣϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ
Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift.
