1 ⲁ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲧⲁ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ϫⲉⲕ ⲛⲁⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁϥⲟⲩ⳿ⲱⲧⲉⲃ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ϯⲄⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉ⳿ⲁ ϥ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲛⲓϭⲓ⳿ⲏ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲒⲟⲩⲇⲉ⳿ⲁ ϩⲓⲙⲏⲣ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲒⲟⲣⲇⲁⲛⲏⲥ.
AND it was that when Jeshu had finished these words, he removed from Galila and came into the confines of Jehud beyond Jurdan.
And great multitudes came after him, and he healed them there.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲪⲁⲣⲓⲥⲉⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲉⲣⲡⲓⲣⲁⲍⲓⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲥϣⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϩⲓ ⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ.
And the Pharishee approached him, and, tempting him, propounded to him whether it was lawful for a man to send away his wife for every cause.
But he answered and said to them, Have you not read that He who created from the beginning, male and female hath made them?
5 ⲉ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲭⲁ ⲡⲉϥⲓⲱⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲧⲉϥⲙⲁⲩ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲧⲟⲙϥ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡⲃ̅ ⲉⲩⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ.
And he said, On this account a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Wherefore they were not two, but one body. That, therefore, which Aloha hath conjoined, man shall not separate.
They said to him, Why then did Musha direct that he should give a writing of dismissal and send her away?
8 ⲏ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲧϩⲏ ⲧ ⳿ⲁ Ⲙⲱ⳿ⲩⲥⲏⲥ ⲟⲩⲁϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉϩⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲓ⳿ⲟⲙⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ϩⲏ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ.
He said to them, Musha, on account of the hardness of your heart, permitted you to send away your wives; but from the beginning it was not so.
9 ⲑ̅ ϯϫⲱ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁϩⲓ ⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩ⳿ⲉϣⲉⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲣⲛⲓ⳿ⲁ ⲁϥ⳿ⲑⲣⲟ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϫⲫⲉ ⲛⲱⲓⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁϭⲓ ⳿ⲛⲑⲏⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ϥⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲱⲓⲕ.
And I say to you that whosoever shall forsake his wife who is not adulterous, and take another, committeth adultery; and whosoever taketh the deserted one, committeth adultery.
His disciples say to him, If thus be the case between the man and the woman, it is not expedient to take a wife.
But he said to them, Not every man is sufficient for this doctrine, but he to whom it is given.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅
For there are some eunuchs who from their mother's womb are born so; and there are some eunuchs who by men are made eunuchs; and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs on account of the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever is capable of receiving (this), let him receive (it).
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲓⲛⲓ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲁⲗⲱⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲭⲁ ϫⲓϫ ⳿ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲧⲱⲃϩ ⳿ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲉⲣ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲧⲓⲙⲁⲛ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ.
Then they brought to him children, that he should put his hand upon them and pray. And his disciples forbad them.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲭⲁ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲁⲗⲱⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲧⲁϩⲛⲟ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲓ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲫⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ.
But Jeshu himself said, Suffer children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for of those who are as these, is the kingdom of heaven.
And he put his hand upon them, and went thence.
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ϥ⳿ⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲫⲣⲉϥϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲥ ⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲛ ⳿ⲉϯⲛⲁⲁⲓϥ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲉⲣ⳿ⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓⲛ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲛϧ ⳿ⲛ⳿⳿ⲉⲛⲉϩ. (aiōnios g166)
AND one came and approached and said to him, Good teacher, what of good shall I do, that I may have the life of eternity? (aiōnios g166)
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲟⲩ ⳿ⲕϣⲓⲛⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲥ Ⲫϯ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲭⲟⲩⲱϣ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲱⲛϧ ⳿ⲁⲣⲉϩ ⳿ⲉⲛⲓⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ.
But he said to him, Why dost thou call me good? none is good but one, Aloha. But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲁϣ ⲛⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉⲕϧⲱⲧⲉⲃ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉⲕⲉⲣⲛⲱⲓⲕ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉⲕϭⲓⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉⲕⲉⲣⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩϫ.
He said to him, Which? Jeshu answered him, Thou shalt not kill, neither commit adultery, nor steal, neither shalt thou witness false testimony;
and honour thy father and thy mother, and love thy neighbour as thyself.
The young man saith to him, These all have I kept from my childhood: how am I deficient?
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁϥ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲩ⳿ⲱ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ϫⲉ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⳿ⲭⲟⲩⲱϣ ⳿ⲉⲉⲣ ⲟⲩⲧⲉⲗⲓⲟⲥ ⲙⲁϣⲉⲛⲁⲕ ⲙⲁ ⲫⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲕ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲏⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓϩⲏⲕⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲕ⳿ⲉ⳿ϫⲫⲟ ⲛⲁⲕ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩ⳿ⲁϩⲟ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲧⲫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲁⲙⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲁϩⲕ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲓ.
Jeshu saith to him, If thou wilt become perfect, go, sell thy possession and give to the poor, and there shall be for thee a treasure in heaven: and come after me.
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓϧⲉⲗϣ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲁϥϣⲉⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲉϥϩⲏⲧ ⲙⲟⲕϩ ⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲉϥ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲛϩⲩⲡⲁⲣⲭⲟⲛⲧⲁ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ.
But he, the young man, heard this word, and went away with sadness, for he had great property.
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲥⲙⲟⲕϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲁⲙⲁ⳿ⲟ ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲫⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ.
But Jeshu said to his disciples, Amen I say unto you, that it is difficult for the rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲥⲙⲟⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩϫⲁⲙⲟⲩⲗ ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲑⲟⲩⲁⲑⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲁ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲣⲡ ⲓⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲁⲙⲁ⳿ⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲫϯ.
Again I say to you, that it is easier for a camel to enter through the aperture of a needle, than the rich to enter into the kingdom of Aloha.
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲉⲣ⳿ϣⲫⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲉⲙⲁϣⲱ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲁⲣⲁ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ⳿ϣϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲉⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ.
But the disciples when they heard were greatly hurt, saying, Who then can be saved?
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲩϣⲧ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲁⲧϫⲟⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛ Ⲫϯ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ⳿ϣϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲉϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ.
Jeshu, beholding them, said, With the sons of men it is not possible; but with Aloha every thing is possible.
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁϥ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲩ⳿ⲱ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲁⲛⲭⲁ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲛⲟⲩⲁϩⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲕ ⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲣⲁ ⲡⲉⲑⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ.
THEN answered Kipha and said to him, Behold, we have abandoned every thing, and have come after thee: what then shall there be for us?
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϧⲁ ⲛⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲟⲩ⳿ⲁϩⲉⲙⲥⲱⲛⲧ ⳿ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⳿ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ Ⲡ̇ϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲪ̇ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ϩⲓ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲑⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉϥ⳿ⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲧϩⲉⲙⲥⲉ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϩⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϩⲓ ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲑⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⳿ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲉϯϩⲁⲡ ⳿ⲉϯⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⳿ⲙⲫⲩⲗⲏ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡⲓ̅ⲥ̅ⲗ̅.
Jeshu saith to them, Amen I say to you, that you who have come after me, in the new world, when the Son of man shall sit upon the throne of his glory, you also shall sit upon twelve seats, and shall judge the twelve tribes of Isroel.
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥⲭⲁ ⲥⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲓⲉ ⲥⲱⲛⲓ ⲓⲉ ⲓⲱⲧ ⲓⲉ ⲙⲁⲩ ⲓⲉ ⳿ⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲓⲉ ϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲓⲉ ⲓⲟϩⲓ ⲓⲉ ⲏⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉϭⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲣ̅ ⳿ⲛⲕⲱⲃ ⳿ⲛⲥⲟⲡ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲱⲛϧ ⳿ⲛ⳿⳿ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲉⲣ⳿ⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ. (aiōnios g166)
And every man who hath relinquished houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, on account of my name, shall receive a hundred-fold, and shall inherit the life of eternity, (aiōnios g166)
Many however are first who shall be last, and the last first.
