1 ⲁ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲁϥⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉ⳿ⲁ ⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲉⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲓⲟⲩⲇⲉ⳿ⲁ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲩⲕⲱϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲑⲃⲉϥ.
AFTER these Jeshu walked in Galila; for he would not walk in Jihuda, because the Jihudoyee had sought to kill him.
And the feast of tabernacles of the Jihudoyee drew nigh.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲉϥ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲑⲃⲉⲕ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ⳿ⲉϯⲓⲟⲩⲇⲉ⳿ⲁ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲕⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲛⲉⲕ⳿ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲕ⳿⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ.
And his brethren said to Jeshu, Remove thee hence, and go into Jihuda, that thy disciples may see the works which thou doest.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲣⲉ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⲉⲣϩⲱⲃ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲧϩⲏⲡ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲕⲱϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲑⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⳿ⲭⲛⲁⲉⲣ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟⲛϩⲕ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ.
For there is no man who doeth any thing in concealment, and willeth himself to be in openness: if these things thou doest, show thyself to the world.
For neither did his brethren believe in him, in Jeshu.
Jeshu saith to them, My time until now cometh not, but your time is always ready.
7 ⲍ̅ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϣϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲙⲉⲥⲧⲉ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⳿ϥⲙⲟⲥϯ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯⲉⲣⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲏⲧϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉϥ⳿ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⲥⲉϩⲱⲟⲩ.
The world cannot hate you: but me it hateth, because I bear witness against it that the works of it are evil.
8 ⲏ̅ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡϣⲁⲓ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϯⲛⲁ⳿ⲓ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓϣⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϫⲱⲕ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
Go you up to this feast: I do not ascend now to this feast, because my time is not yet complete.
These things said he, and remained in Galila.
10 ⲓ̅ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲁⲩϣⲉ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡϣⲁⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲉϥ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ϩⲱϥ ⲁϥ⳿Ⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲱⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲭⲱⲡ.
But when his brethren had ascended to the feast, then also he ascended; not in openness, but as in concealment.
But the Jihudoyee sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲭⲣⲉⲙⲣⲉⲙ ⲡⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲏϣ ⲉⲑⲃⲏⲧϥ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲕⲉ ⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁϥⲥⲱⲣⲉⲙ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲙⲏϣ.
and there was great murmuring concerning him among the people; for some said that he was good, and others said, No; but he deceiveth the people.
But no man openly spoke of him, for fear of the Jihudoyee.
But when the days of the feast divided, Jeshu ascended to the temple, and taught.
And the Jihudoyee wondered and said, How knoweth this man the scripture, when he hath not learned?
Jeshu answered and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his who sent me.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁⲉⲣ⳿ⲫⲟⲩⲱϣ ⳿ⲙⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛ ⲧⲁ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫϯ ⲧⲉ ϣⲁⲛ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉⲧⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧ.
Whosoever willeth to do his will understandeth my doctrine, if it be from Aloha, or (if) from the will of myself I speak.
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧϥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧϥ ⲁϥⲕⲱϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁ ⲡⲉϥⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲓⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲫⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲕⲱϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁ ⳿ⲡⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟϥ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ⲁⲇⲓⲕⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ.
He who from the will of his (own) mind speaketh, the glory of himself seeketh; but he who the glory of him who hath sent him seeketh, is true, and no iniquity is in him.
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲙⲏ ⲙⲱ⳿ⲩⲥⲏⲥ ⲁⲛ ⲁϥϯ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲉϥ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲕⲱϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲓ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲑⲃⲉⲧ.
Did not Musha give you the law? But no man of you keepeth the law. Why seek you to kill me?
The people answered, saying, Thou hast a demon: who seeketh to kill thee?
Jeshu answered and said to them, One work have I performed, and all of you wondered on this account.
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲁ ⲙⲱ⳿ⲩⲥⲏⲥ ϯ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲉⲃⲓ ⲟⲩⲭ ⲟⲧⲓ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲙⲱ⳿ⲩⲥⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲉⲃⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲓⲟϯ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲉⲃⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ.
Musha gave you circumcision, not because it was from the fathers, and on the shabath you circumcise a man.
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲁϭⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲉⲃⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉϥⲃⲱⲗ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲙⲱ⳿ⲩⲥⲏⲥ ⲓⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϫⲱⲛⲧ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ϫⲉ ⲁⲓ⳿ⲑⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ.
But if a man is circumcised on the day of shabath because the law of Musha may not be broken, why against me do you murmur, because I have altogether healed a man on the day of shabath?
Judge not with acceptance of persons, but righteous judgment judge you.
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁ ⳿ⲓⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲙ̅ ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲟⲩⲕⲱϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲑⲃⲉϥ.
And some of Urishlem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⳿ϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲉϫⲉ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲁϥ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲏⲡⲱⲥ ⲣⲱ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⲧⲁ⳿ⲫⲙⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭⲱⲛ ϫⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
and, behold, openly he discourseth, and nothing say they to him. Do the elders know that this is truly the Meshicha?
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲑⲱⲛ ⲡⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥϣⲁⲛ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲑⲱⲛ ⲡⲉ.
Yet of this we know from whence he is; but when the Meshicha cometh, no man knoweth from whence he is.
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁϥⲱϣ ⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ ⲉϥϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲁⲓ⳿Ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲑⲱⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉⲧⲁⲓ⳿ⲓ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲫⲏ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲛ.
Jeshu lifted up his voice as he taught in the temple, and said, You know me, and from whence I am you know: and of myself I am not come; but true is he who sent me, he whom you know not.
But I know him who am from him; and he hath sent me.
30 ⲗ̅ ⲛⲁⲩⲕⲱϯ ⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϩⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⳿ⲉⲛ ⲛⲉϥϫⲓϫ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲱϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲛⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲧⲉⲥ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲧⲉϥⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ.
And they sought to apprehend him; but no man laid hands on him, because not yet was come his hour.
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲏϣ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲩⲛⲁϩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲏϣ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁϥϣⲁⲛ⳿ⲓ ⲙⲏ ⳿ϥⲛⲁⲉⲣ ϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲣⲱ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲓⲙⲏⲓⲛⲓ ⲉⲧⲁ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲁⲓⲧⲟⲩ.
But many of the multitude believed in him, and said, When the Meshicha is come, will he exceed the miracles which this doeth?
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲉⲟⲥ ⳿ⲉⲛⲓⲙⲏϣ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲭⲣⲉⲙⲣⲉⲙ ⳿ⲛⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲏⲧϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱⲣⲡ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲉⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛϩⲩⲡⲏ ⲣⲉⲧⲏⲥ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲧⲁϩⲟϥ.
The Pharishee heard the assembly, that they said these things of him, and the chief priests sent officers to apprehend him.
Jeshu said, Yet a little while am I with you, and I go unto him who sent me:
and you will seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am you cannot come.
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲣⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲛⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲉⲑⲱⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙϫⲉⲙϥ ⲙⲏ ⳿ϥⲛⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓϫⲱⲣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲉⲓⲛⲓⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲉⲓⲛⲓⲛ.
The Jihudoyee say among themselves, Whither is this about to go, that we cannot find him? To the countries of the nations is he to go, and to teach the Heathens?
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲁⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲕⲱϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϫⲉⲙⲧ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⳿ⲉϯⲛⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϣϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ.
What is this word he hath said, You shall seek me, and not find me; and where I am you cannot come?
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲇⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϧⲁ⳿ⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲛⲓϣϯ ⳿ⲛϣⲁⲓ ⲁϥⲟϩⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁϥⲱϣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧ⳿ⲟⲃⲓ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥ⳿ⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲥⲱ.
BUT in the great day, which was the last of the feast, stood Jeshu and cried, and said, If (any) man thirst, let him come unto me and drink;
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁϩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁⲥϫⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ϯ⳿ⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲓⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲱⲛϧ ⲉⲑⲛⲁϧⲁϯ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲛⲉϫⲓ.
for whosoever believeth in me, as have said the scriptures, rivers of living waters shall flow from his belly.
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥϫⲟϥ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲡⲓⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲩⲛⲁϭ ⲓⲧϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁϩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲧⲉ ⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⲅⲁⲣ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲧⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ϭⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ.
But this he spake of the Spirit which they should receive who believe in him. For not yet was the Spirit given, because not yet was Jeshu glorified.
Now many of the assemblies who heard his words said, This is truly the Prophet.
41 ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ ϩⲁⲛⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ϩⲁⲛⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲁⲣⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉ⳿ⲁ.
Others said, This is the Meshicha. Others said, How from Galila cometh the Meshicha?
42 ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ ⲙⲏ ⲛⲉⲧⲁⲥϫⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ϯ⳿ⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡ⳿ϫⲣⲟϫ ⳿ⲛⲇⲁⲩⲓⲇ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲣⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲃⲏⲑⲗⲉⲉⲙ ⲡⲓ ϯⲙⲓ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲣⲉ ⲇⲁⲩⲓⲇ ⲭⲏ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ.
Hath not the scripture said, That from the seed of David, and from Beth-lechem the town of David, cometh the Meshicha?
And there was a division concerning him among the assemblies;
and there were men of them who would have apprehended him; but no man laid hands on him.
45 ⲙ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓϩⲩⲡⲏⲣⲉⲧⲏⲥ ϩⲁ ⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭ ⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲉⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲏ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲉⲛϥ.
AND those officers came to the chief priests and the Pharishee; and the priests said to them, Why have you not brought him?
The officers say to them, Never so spake a son of man as speaks this man!
The Pharishee say to them, Are you also deceived?
Have any of the heads, or of the Pharishee, believed in him?
But if this people who know not the law (believe in him), they are accursed.
One of them, Nikodimos, he who came to Jeshu by night, saith to them,
51 ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϯϩⲁⲡ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲁϥ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ.
Does our law condemn a man unless it shall hear from him first, and know what he hath done?
52 ⲛ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉ⳿ⲁ ϩⲱⲕ ϧⲟⲧϧⲉⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲁⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲁⲧⲱⲛϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉ⳿ⲁ.
They answered and said to him, Art thou also of Galila? Investigate, and see, that the Prophet from Galila ariseth not.
