1 ⲁ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲁϥϣⲉⲡ⳿ⲙⲕⲁϩ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲱⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲕ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲓ⳿ⲥⲙⲟⲧ ϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁϥϭⲓ⳿ⲙⲕⲁϩ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲗϭⲟϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁ ⳿ⲫⲛⲟⲃⲓ.
Therefore, since Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same mentality, because whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,
2 ⲃ̅ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡϫⲓⲛ⳿ⲑⲣⲉϥ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙϣⲱⲡⲓ ϫⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲉⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓⲁ ⳿ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲡⲥⲉⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉϥⲱⲛϧ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲁⲓϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲟⲩⲱϣ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ.
so as to live his remaining time in the flesh no longer for the evil desires of men, but for the will of God.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲕⲏⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲓⲛⲓ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲟⲩⲱϣ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛϭⲱϧⲉⲙ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓⲁ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲑⲓϧⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲑⲟ ⳿ⲛⲣⲏϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛϫⲉⲣϫⲉⲣ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲑⲟ ⳿ⲙⲃⲟϯ ⳿ⲙⲙⲉⲧϣⲁⲙϣⲉ ⳿ⲓⲇⲱⲗⲟⲛ.
For we have spent enough of our lives doing what the Gentiles like to do, walking in sensual indulgences, evil desires, excesses of wine, revelries, drinking bouts, and illicit idolatries.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲫⲏ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϭⲟϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲫⲱⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲣⲱ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲁⲧⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲉⲩϫⲉⲟⲩ⳿ⲁ.
They are surprised when you do not run with them into the same flood of debauchery, so they revile you.
But they will give an account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲩϩⲓϣⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲕⲉⲣⲉϥⲙⲱⲟⲩⲧ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉϯϩⲁⲡ ⲙⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲩⲱⲛϧ ⲇⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲫϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅.
For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to the dead, so that, though they have been judged in the flesh as men are, they might live in the spirit as God does.
The end of all things has drawn near. Therefore be alert and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.
8 ⲏ̅ ϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲙⲁⲣⲉ ϯ ⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲥⲙⲏⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲏ ⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ϯⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ϣⲁⲥϩⲱⲃⲥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ.
Above all, maintain a deep love for one another, because love will cover a multitude of sins.
Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.
10 ⲓ̅ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲓ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲉⲧⲁϥϭ ⲓⲧϥ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ ϧⲁⲣⲓ ϧⲁⲣⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛⲟⲓⲕⲟⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲑⲟ ⳿ⲛⲣⲏϯ.
As each of you has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁⲥⲁϫⲓ ϩⲱⲥ ϩⲁⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ϩⲱⲥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϫⲟⲙ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲛⲁⲥⲉⲃⲧⲱⲧⲥ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥϭⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫϯ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲉ ⲫⲱϥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲱⲟⲩ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲁⲙⲏⲛ. (aiōn g165)
If anyone speaks, he should do so as one who speaks the oracles of God; if anyone serves, he should do so as one who serves from strength as God supplies it, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲁⲙⲉⲛⲣⲁϯ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲉⲣ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲕϩ ⲉⲑⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩⲡⲓⲣⲁⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩϩⲱⲃ ⳿ⲛϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ ⳿ⲉⲁϥϫⲉⲙ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ.
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you to test you, as though a strange thing were happening to you.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϣⲫⲏⲣ ⳿ⲉⲛⲓ⳿ⲙⲕⲁⲩϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲣⲁϣⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲉϭⲱⲣⲡ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉϥⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲣⲁϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲑⲉⲗⲏⲗ.
But insofar as you share in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, so that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲥⲉϣⲱϣ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⳿ⲙⲠ⳪ ⲱⲟⲩ⳿ⲛⲓⲁⲧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲫⲁ ⲡⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯϫⲟⲙ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲁϥ⳿ⲙⲧⲟⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ.
If you are reproached for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲛ⳿ⲑⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϣⲉⲡ⳿ⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲓⲉ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲉϥϧⲱⲧⲉⲃ ⲓⲉ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲉϥϭⲓⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⲓⲉ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲁⲙⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲓⲉ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲉϥϫⲟⲩϣⲧ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲫⲱϥ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ.
None of you should suffer as a murderer, thief, evildoer, or meddler,
but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he should not be ashamed, but should glorify God in this matter.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ϫⲉ ⲡⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲑⲣⲉϥⲉⲣϩⲏⲧⲥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓϩⲁⲡ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲏⲓ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲉⲣϩⲏ ⲧⲥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲓⲉ ⲁϣ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲡϫⲱⲕ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲁⲧⲑⲱⲧ ⳿ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ.
For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God, and if it begins first with us, what will be the outcome for those who are disobedient to the gospel of God?
And, “If the righteous man is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly man and sinner?”
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧϭⲓ⳿ⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱϣ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩϫⲱⲓⲗⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⳿ⲉⲫϯ ⲡⲓⲣⲉϥⲥⲱⲛⲧ ⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲟⲧ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡϫⲓⲛ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲡⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ
Therefore, those who suffer according to the will of God should entrust their souls to him as their faithful Creator while doing what is good.
