ⲚⲒⲔⲞⲢⲒⲚⲐⲒⲞⲤ Ⲁ ̅ 12
Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲭⲏ ϧⲁ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲓⲇⲱⲗⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲁⲧ⳿ϧⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁⲩ⳿ⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ.
Ye know, that when ye were gentiles, ye were carried away to dumb idols, as ye happened to be led;
3 ⲅ̅ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ϯⲧⲁⲙⲟ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⲉϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲁⲛⲁⲑⲉⲙⲁ ⲡⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϣϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ Ⲡ⳪ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⳿ⲓⲙⲏϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲃ.
wherefore I give you to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God saith, Accursed be Jesus; and that no one can say, Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit;
and there are diversities of services, but the same Lord;
and there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God who worketh all things in all.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the good of others.
8 ⲏ̅ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ϣⲁⲩϯ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲟⲫⲓⲁ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲁⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲫⲁⲓ.
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;
to another faith, by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing, by the one Spirit;
10 ⲓ̅ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛ⳿ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲟⲙ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲓⲁ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲃⲱⲗ ⳿ⲙⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲅⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲗⲁⲥ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲣⲙⲏⲛⲓⲁ ⳿ⲛⲗⲁⲥ.
to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another divers kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲣϩⲱⲃ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲁⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲣⲱ ⲡⲉ ⲉϥⲫⲱϣ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲉϩⲛⲁϥ.
But all these worketh the one and self-same Spirit, allotting to each one severally as it will.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲁϥ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲙⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲉⲩⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ϩⲱϥ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ.̅.
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body, so it is with Christ.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲕⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲁⲛϭⲓⲱⲙⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲉⲩⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲓⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⳿ⲓⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲉⲓⲛⲓⲛ ⳿ⲓⲧⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⳿ⲓⲧⲉ ⲣⲉⲙϩⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲉⲛ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲧⲥⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ.
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or freemen; and were all made to drink one Spirit.
For the body also is not one member, but many.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ ϯϭⲁⲗⲟϫ ϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩϫⲓϫ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲁⲣⲁ ⲧⲟⲩⲧⲟ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲧⲉ.
If the foot say, Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body, is it for this reason not of the body?
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲁϣϫ ϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲃⲁⲗ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲁⲣⲁ ⲧⲟⲩⲧⲟ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ.
And if the ear say, Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body, is it for this reason not of the body?
If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling?
But as it is, God set the members every one of them in the body, as it pleased him.
And if they were all one member, where would be the body?
But now there are, indeed, many members, but one body.
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϣϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲃⲁⲗ ϫⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛϯϫⲓϫ ϫⲉ ϯⲉⲣ⳿ⲭⲣⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟ ⲁⲛ ⲓⲉ ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ϯ⳿ⲁⲫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓϭⲁⲗⲁⲩϫ ϫⲉ ϯⲉⲣ⳿ⲭⲣⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲁⲛ.
And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of thee; nor, again, the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲙⲁⲗⲗⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲉⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲱⲃ ⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲁⲛⲁⲛⲁⲅⲕⲉⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲛⲉ.
Nay, still more, those members of the body which seem to be weak, are necessary;
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲉⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉϣⲏϣ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲧⲉⲛ ϯ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲧⲁⲓ⳿ⲟ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲏⲉⲧϫⲁⲓ⳿ⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲥⲁⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ.
and what we think to be less honorable parts of the body, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our unseemly parts have more abundant seemliness;
while our seemly parts have no need. But God so put the body together, as to give special honor to that part which lacked,
that there might be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ϭⲓ⳿ⲙⲕⲁϩ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϭⲓ⳿ⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ϭⲓⲱⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲣⲁϣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ.
And so if one member suffereth, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
Now ye are the body of Christ, and members individually. And
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲏ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲁ ⲫϯ ⲭⲁⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲉⲕ⳿ⲕⲗⲏ- ⲥⲓⲁ ϣⲟⲣⲡ ϩⲁⲛⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲫⲙⲁϩ ⲃ̅ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⳿ⲫⲙⲁϩ ⲅ̅ ϩⲁⲛⲣⲉϥϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲙⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲁⲛϫⲟⲙ ⲓⲧⲁ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲗϭⲟ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϯⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲉⲣϩⲉⲙⲓ ϩⲁⲛⲅⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲗⲁⲥ.
God appointed some in the church to be, in the first place, apostles, in the second place, prophets, in the third place, teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, those of helping and of governing, divers kinds of tongues. Are all apostles?
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲙⲏ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲉⲣⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲏ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲉⲣ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲏ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲉⲣⲣⲉϥϯ ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲏ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲉⲣϫⲟⲙ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ.
Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?
Have all the gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?
But desire earnestly the greater gifts. And furthermore I show you by far the most excellent way.
