1 ⲁ̅ ⲠⲀⲨⲖⲞⲤ ⲪⲂⲰⲔ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲠⲀⲠⲞⲤⲦⲞⲖⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲚⲀϨϮ ⲚⲚⲒⲤⲰⲦⲠ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲤⲞⲨⲈⲚ ϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ϮⲘⲈⲦⲈⲨⲤⲈⲂⲎ Ⲥ
Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,
2 ⲃ̅ ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨϨⲈⲖⲠⲒⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲰⲚϦ ⲚⲈⲚⲈϨ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲰϢ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲀⲦⲘⲈⲐⲚⲞⲨϪ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϦⲀϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲚⲒⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲚⲈϨ. (aiōnios )
in hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before times eternal; (aiōnios )
3 ⲅ̅ ⲀϤⲞⲨⲞⲚϨ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲈϤⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲤⲀϪⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϨⲒⲰⲒϢ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲦⲈⲚϨⲞⲨⲦ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲀϨⲤⲀϨⲚⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲠⲈⲚⲤⲰⲦⲎⲢ
but in his own seasons manifested his word in the message, wherewith I was intrusted according to the commandment of God our Saviour;
4 ⲇ̅ ⲚⲦⲒⲦⲞⲤ ⲠⲀⲘⲈⲚⲢⲒⲦ ⲚϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ϮⲘⲈⲦϢⲪⲎⲢ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲀϨϮ ⲠϨⲘⲞⲦ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲦϨⲒⲢⲎ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲪⲒⲰⲦ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲈⲚⲤⲰⲦⲎⲢ.
to Titus, my true child after a common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Saviour.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ ⲀⲒⲤⲞϪⲠⲔ ϦⲈⲚⲔⲢⲒⲐⲎ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲒⲤⲰϪⲠ ⲚⲦⲈⲔⲦⲀϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲢⲀⲦⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈⲔⲤⲈⲘⲚⲒ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲠⲢⲈⲤⲂⲨⲦⲈⲢⲞⲤ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲂⲀⲔⲒ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲀⲒⲞⲨⲀϨⲤⲀϨⲚⲒ ⲚⲀⲔ.
For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that were wanting, and appoint elders in every city, as I gave thee charge;
6 ⲋ̅ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲈϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲀⲦⲖⲰⲒϪⲒ ⲈⲀϤⲈⲢϨⲀⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲤϨⲒⲘⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲰⲦ ⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚⲦⲀϤ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲚϨⲀⲚϢⲎ ⲢⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲚⲤⲈϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲔⲀⲦⲎⲄⲞⲢⲒⲀ ⲀⲚ ⲘⲘⲈⲦⲀⲦⲞⲨϪⲀⲒ ⲒⲈ ⲈⲨⲞⲒ ⲚⲀⲦϬⲚⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ.
if any man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having children that believe, who are not accused of riot or unruly.
7 ⲍ̅ ⲤϢⲈ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲈⲠⲒⲤⲔⲞⲠⲞⲤ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲀⲦⲖⲰⲒϪⲒ ϨⲰⲤ ⲞⲨⲞⲒⲔⲞⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲀⲨⲐⲀⲦⲎⲤ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲞⲨⲢⲈϤϪⲰⲚⲦ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲞⲨⲤⲈ ϨⲞⲨⲞ ⲎⲢⲠ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲞⲨⲢⲈϤϮⲦⲈⲚϢⲒ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲞⲨⲘⲀⲒϨⲎⲞⲨ ⲈϤϢⲎϢ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ.
For the bishop must be blameless, as God’s steward; not selfwilled, not soon angry, no brawler, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre;
8 ⲏ̅ ⲈⲞⲨⲘⲀⲒϢⲈⲘⲘⲞ ⲠⲈ ⲘⲘⲀⲒⲠⲈⲐⲚⲀⲚⲈϤ ⲚⲤⲀⲂⲈ ⲚⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲈϤⲦⲞⲨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲦ ⲈⲞⲨⲈⲄⲔⲢⲀⲦⲎⲤ ⲠⲈ.
but given to hospitality, a lover of good, soberminded, just, holy, temperate;
9 ⲑ̅ ⲈϤⲀⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲈⲦⲈⲚϨⲞⲦ ⲈϮⲤⲂⲰ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϤϪⲈⲘϪⲞⲘ ⲚϮⲚⲞⲘϮ ϦⲈⲚϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲈⲐⲞⲨⲞϪ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲤⲞϨⲒ ⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲈⲢⲀⲚⲦⲒⲖⲈⲄⲒⲚ.
holding to the faithful word which is according to the teaching, that he may be able both to exhort in the sound doctrine, and to convict the gainsayers.
10 ⲓ̅ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲨⲞⲒ ⲚⲀⲦϬⲚⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲢⲈϤⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲘⲘⲈⲦⲈⲪⲖⲎⲞⲨ ⲈⲨⲞⲒ ⲚⲢⲈϤⲈⲢϨⲀⲖ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲘⲀⲖⲒⲤⲦⲀ ⲚⲒⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲤⲈⲂⲒ.
For there are many unruly men, vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision,
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲤϢⲈ ⲚⲐⲰⲘ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲢⲒⲔⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲠⲦⲎⲢϤ ⲚⲦⲈϨⲀⲚⲎⲒ ⲈⲨϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲤϢⲈ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲞⲨϨⲎⲞⲨ ⲈϤϢⲞϢϤ.
whose mouths must be stopped; men who overthrow whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲀϤϪⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲠⲢⲞⲪⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲚⲦⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲚⲒⲔⲢⲎⲦⲎⲤ ϨⲀⲚⲢⲈϤϪⲈⲘⲈⲐⲚⲞⲨϪ ⲚⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ϨⲀⲚⲐⲎⲢⲒⲞⲚ ⲈⲨϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲈϨⲀⲚⲚⲈϪⲒ ⲚⲀⲢⲄⲞⲤ ⲚⲈ.
One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said, Cretans are alway liars, evil beasts, idle gluttons.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲦⲀⲒⲘⲈⲦⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲘⲎⲒ ⲦⲈ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲦⲀⲒⲖⲰⲒϪⲒ ⲤⲞϨⲒ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϢⲰⲦ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲤⲈⲞⲨϪⲀⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲪⲚⲀϨϮ.
This testimony is true. For which cause reprove them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲚⲤⲈϮ ⲚϨⲐⲎⲞⲨ ⲀⲚ ⲚϨⲀⲚϢϤⲰ ⲘⲘⲈⲦⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲈⲚⲦⲞⲖⲎ ⲚⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲈⲨⲪⲰⲚϨ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲤⲀⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲐⲘⲎⲒ.
not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ϨⲰⲂ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲤⲈⲞⲨⲀⲂ ⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲦⲞⲨⲂⲎ ⲞⲨⲦ ⲚⲎ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲤⲞϤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲀⲐⲚⲀϨϮ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϨⲖⲒ ⲈϤⲞⲨⲀⲂ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲀϤⲤⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲞⲨϨⲎⲦ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲦⲞⲨⲤⲨⲚⲎⲆⲈⲤⲒⲤ.
To the pure all things are pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲤⲈⲞⲨⲰⲚϨ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϪⲈ ⲤⲈⲤⲰⲞⲨⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲆⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲞⲨϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲤⲈϪⲰⲖ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈⲨⲞⲢⲈⲂ ⲈⲨⲞⲒ ⲚⲀⲦϮⲘⲀϮ ⲈⲨⲞⲒ ⲚⲀⲦϢⲀⲨ ⲘⲠⲔⲰϮ ⲚϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲚⲈⲨ.
They profess that they know God; but by their works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
