1 ⲁ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲀⲦⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲀⲨⲤⲞϬⲚⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲤⲞϬⲚⲒ ⲚϢⲰⲢⲠ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲠⲢⲈⲤⲂⲨⲦⲈⲢⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲤⲀϦ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲘⲀⲚϮϨⲀⲠ ⲦⲎⲢϤ ⲀⲨⲤⲰⲚϨ ⲚⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲀⲨϬⲒⲦϤ ⲀⲨⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲘⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ.
And as soon as it was morning, the chief priests, having held a consultation with the elders and the scribes, and the whole council, bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him up to Pilate.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤϢⲈⲚϤ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈⲦϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ.
And Pilate asked him, Art thou the king of the Jews? And he answering saith to him, I am.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨⲈⲢⲔⲀⲦⲎⲄⲞⲢⲒⲚ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲘⲎϢ ϦⲀⲢⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ.
And the chief priests brought many charges against him.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲞⲚ ⲚⲀϤϢⲈⲚϤ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲔⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϨⲖⲒ ⲀⲚ ⲀⲚⲀⲨ ϪⲈ ⲤⲈⲈⲢⲔⲀⲦⲎⲄⲞⲢⲒⲚ ⲈⲢⲞⲔ ⲚⲞⲨⲎⲢ.
And Pilate asked him again, Dost thou make no answer? See what things they are testifying against thee!
5 ⲉ̅ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲘⲠⲈϤϪⲈ ⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϨⲖⲒ ϨⲰⲤⲦⲈ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲈⲢϢⲪⲎⲢⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ.
But Jesus made no further answer; so that Pilate marveled.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲠϢⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲀϤⲬⲰ ⲚⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲈϤⲤⲞⲚϨ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲪⲎ ⲈϢⲀⲨⲈⲢⲈⲦⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ.
Now at the feast he was wont to release to them one prisoner, whom they might ask.
7 ⲍ̅ ⲪⲎ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲞⲨⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲂⲀⲢⲀⲂⲂⲀⲤ ⲚⲀϤⲤⲞⲚϨ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲒⲢⲒ ⲚⲞⲨϢⲐⲞⲢⲦⲈⲢ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲚⲀⲨⲒⲢⲒ ⲚⲞⲨϦⲰⲦⲈⲂ ϦⲈⲚⲠϢⲐⲞⲢⲦⲈⲢ.
And there was one named Barabbas, who lay bound with insurgents who had committed murder in the insurrection.
8 ⲏ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲒ ⲈⲠϢⲰⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲘⲎϢ ⲀϤⲈⲢϨⲎⲦⲤ ⲚⲈⲢⲈⲦⲒⲚ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲚⲀϤⲒⲢⲒ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ.
And the multitude, coming up, began to ask him to do as he had been wont to do for them.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲚⲦⲀⲬⲰ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲠⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ
And Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release to you the king of the Jews?
10 ⲓ̅ ⲚⲀϤⲈⲘⲒ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲠⲈ ϪⲈ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲞⲨⲪⲐⲞⲚⲞⲤ
For he knew that for envy the chief priests had delivered him up.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲚⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲨⲔⲒⲘ ⲘⲠⲒⲘⲎϢ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲘⲀⲖⲖⲞⲚ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲬⲀ ⲂⲀⲢⲂⲂⲀⲤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ.
But the chief priests stirred up the multitude, that he should rather release to them Barabbas.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲠⲈϮⲚⲀⲀⲒϤ ⲘⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲠⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ
And Pilate answering again said to them, What then would ye have me do with him whom ye call the king of the Jews?
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲞⲚ ⲀⲨⲰϢ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϪⲈ ⲀϢϤ.
And they cried out again, Crucify him!
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲀϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲘⲠⲈⲦϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲠⲈⲦⲀϤⲀⲒϤ ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲚϨⲞⲨⲞ ⲚⲀⲨⲰϢ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϪⲈ ⲀϢϤ.
Then Pilate said to them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more, Crucify him!
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲈϤⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲈⲈⲢ ⲠⲈⲦⲈϨⲚⲈ ⲠⲒⲘⲎϢ ⲀϤⲬⲀ ⲂⲀⲢⲀⲂⲂⲀⲤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲀϤϮ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲈⲈⲢⲪⲢⲄⲈⲖⲖⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲞⲨⲀϢϤ.
And Pilate, wishing to satisfy the multitude, released to them Barabbas; and, when he had scourged Jesus, delivered him up to be crucified.
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲚⲒⲘⲀⲦⲞⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲨϬⲒⲦϤ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϮⲀⲨⲖⲎ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲠⲢⲈⲦⲰⲢⲒⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈϮⲤⲠⲒⲢⲀ ⲦⲎⲢⲤ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲰϤ
And the soldiers led him away into the court, which is the Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨϮ ϨⲒⲰⲦϤ ⲚⲞⲨϨⲂⲞⲤ ⲚϬⲎϪⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨϢⲰⲚⲦ ⲚⲞⲨⲬⲖⲞⲘ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚϨⲀⲚⲤⲞⲨⲢⲒ ⲀⲨⲬⲀϤ ϨⲒϪⲰϤ
And they clothe him with purple, and having platted a crown of thorns, they put it on him.
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲈⲢϨⲎⲦⲤ ⲚⲈⲢⲀⲤⲠⲀⲌⲈⲤⲐⲈ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲬⲈⲢⲈ ⲠⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ.
And they began to salute him: Hail, king of the Jews!
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨϨⲒⲞⲨⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲈϤⲀⲪⲈ ⲚⲞⲨⲔⲀϢ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨϨⲒⲐⲀϤ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲈϤϨⲞ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨϨⲒⲞⲨⲒ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲞⲨⲔⲈⲖⲒ ⲈⲞⲨⲰϢⲦ ⲘⲘⲞϤ.
And they struck him on the head with a reed, and spit upon him, and kneeling down, did him homage.
20 ⲕ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϨⲞⲦⲈ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲤⲰⲂⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲀⲨⲂⲀϢϤ ⲘⲠⲒϨⲂⲞⲤ ⲚϬⲎϪⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨϮ ⲚⲚⲈϤϨⲂⲰⲤ ϨⲒⲰⲦϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲈⲚϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲤⲈⲀϢϤ.
And after they had made sport of him, they stripped him of the purple robe, and put his own garments on him. And they lead him out to crucify him.
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨϬⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲚⲬⲂⲀ ⲈϤⲤⲒⲚⲒⲰⲞⲨ ⲤⲒⲘⲰⲚ ⲠⲒⲔⲨⲢⲒⲚⲚⲈⲞⲤ ⲈϤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲔⲞⲒ ⲪⲒⲰⲦ ⲚⲀⲖⲈⲜⲀⲚⲆⲢⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲢⲞⲨⲪⲞⲤ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲰⲖⲒ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲤⲦⲀⲨⲢⲞⲤ
And they compel one Simon a Cyrenaean, who was passing by, coming from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross.
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲈⲚϤ ⲈⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲄⲞⲖⲄⲞⲐⲀ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈϢⲀⲨⲞⲨⲀϨⲘⲈϤ ϪⲈ ⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲔⲢⲀⲚⲒⲞⲚ
And they bring him to the place Golgotha; which is, when interpreted, Place of a Skull.
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨϮ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚⲞⲨⲎⲢⲠ ⲈϤⲘⲞϪⲦ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨϢⲀϢⲒ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲘⲠⲈϤϬⲒⲦϤ
And they gave him wine mingled with myrrh; but he did not take it.
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲀϢϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲪⲰϢ ⲚⲚⲈϤϨⲂⲰⲤ ⲈϨⲢⲀⲨ ⲈⲀⲨϨⲒⲰⲠ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲚⲒⲘ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲞⲖⲞⲨ
And they crucify him, and divide his garments, casting lots for them, what each should take.
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲚⲈ ⲪⲚⲀⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲀϪⲠⲄ ⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲀϢϤ
And it was the third hour when they crucified him.
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϮⲈⲠⲒⲄⲢⲀⲪⲎ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈϤⲈⲦⲒⲀ ⲚⲀⲤⲤϦⲎⲞⲨⲦ ⲠⲈ ϪⲈ ⲠⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ
And on the cross the inscription of the charge against him was written: “The king of the Jews.”
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲈϢ ⲔⲈⲤⲞⲚⲒ ⲂⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲤⲀⲞⲨⲒⲚⲀⲘ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲤⲀϪⲀϬⲎ ⲘⲘⲞϤ.
And with him they crucify two robbers; one on his right hand, and one on his left.
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϮⲄⲢⲀⲪⲎ ϪⲰⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϪⲈ ⲀⲨⲞⲠϤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲀⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲚⲀⲨⲤⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲀⲨϪⲈⲞⲨⲀ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲈⲨⲔⲒⲘ ⲚⲚⲞⲨⲀⲪⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲂⲈⲖ ⲠⲒⲈⲢⲪⲈⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲔⲞⲦϤ ⲚⲄ ⲚⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ
And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ha! thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it up in three days,
30 ⲗ̅ ⲚⲀϨⲘⲈⲔ ⲈⲀⲔⲒ ⲈϦⲢⲎⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒ ⲠⲒⲤⲦⲀⲨⲢⲞⲤ
save thyself, and come down from the cross.
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲒⲔⲈⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲈⲨⲤⲰⲂⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲢⲎⲞⲨ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ϤⲚⲞϨⲈⲘ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲔⲈⲬⲰⲞⲨⲚⲒ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲚⲀϨⲘⲈϤ.
In like manner also the chief priests, with the scribes, making sport among themselves, said, He saved others, cannot he save himself?
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲠⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲖ ⲘⲀⲢⲈϤⲒ ⲈϦⲢⲎⲒ ϮⲚⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒ ⲠⲒⲤⲦⲀⲨⲢⲞⲤ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀϨϮ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲀϢⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ ⲚⲀⲨϮϢⲰϢ ⲚⲀϤ.
Let the Christ, the king of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him were reviling him.
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀ ⲪⲚⲀⲨ ⲚⲀϪⲠ ϢⲰⲠⲒ Ⲁ- ⲞⲨⲬⲀⲔⲒ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ϨⲒϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲔⲀϨⲒ ⲦⲎⲢϤ ϢⲀ ⲪⲚⲀⲨ ⲚⲀϪⲠⲐ.
And when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϦⲈⲚⲪⲚⲀⲨ ⲚⲀϪⲠⲐ ⲀϤⲰϢ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲚⲤⲘⲎ ϪⲈ ⲈⲖⲰⲒ ⲈⲖⲰⲒ ⲖⲈⲘⲀ ⲤⲀⲂⲀⲬⲐⲀⲚⲒ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲞⲨⲰϨⲈⲘ ⲠⲈ ϪⲈ ⲠⲀⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲠⲀⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲞⲨ ⲀⲔⲬⲀⲦ ⲚⲤⲰⲔ.
And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani? which is, when interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϨⲀⲚⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲚⲀⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲀⲨ ϤⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲎⲖⲒⲀⲤ.
And some of those who stood by, when they heard it, said, See! he is calling for Elijah.
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ⲈⲦⲀϤϬⲞϪⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲀϤⲘⲀϨ ⲞⲨⲤⲪⲞⲄⲄⲞⲤ ⲚϨⲈⲘϪ ⲀϤⲦⲀⲖⲞϤ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲔⲀϢ ⲀϤⲦⲤⲞϤ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲬⲀϤ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀⲨ ϪⲈ ⲎⲖⲒⲀⲤ ⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲈⲚϤ ⲈϦⲢⲎⲒ.
And one ran and filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave it to him to drink, saying, Hold! Let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down.
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲘⲞⲨϮ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲚⲤⲘⲎ ⲀϤϮ ⲘⲠⲒⲠⲚⲀ
And Jesus, having uttered a loud cry, expired.
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲒⲔⲀⲦⲀⲠⲈⲦⲀⲤⲘⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲈⲢⲪⲈⲒ ⲀϤⲪⲰϦ ϦⲈⲚⲂⲒⲤϪⲈⲚ ⲠϢⲰⲒ ⲈϦⲢⲎⲒ
And the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom.
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲚⲀⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲈⲔⲀⲦⲞⲚⲦⲀⲢⲬⲞⲤ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦϤ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲘⲐⲞ ϪⲈ ⲀϤϮ ⲘⲠⲒⲠⲚⲈⲨⲘⲀⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲖⲎⲐⲰⲤ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲚⲈⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲠⲈ
And the centurion who stood over against him, seeing that he so expired, said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
40 ⲙ̅ ⲚⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϨⲀⲚⲔⲈϨⲒⲞⲘⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲨⲚⲀⲨ ϨⲒⲪⲞⲨⲈⲒ ⲚⲈⲈⲚⲀⲢⲈ ⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲠⲈ ϮⲘⲀⲄⲆⲀⲖⲒⲚⲎ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲒⲀⲔⲰⲂⲞⲤ ⲠⲒⲔⲞⲨϪⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲐⲘⲀⲨ ⲚⲒⲰⲤⲎⲦⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲤⲀⲖⲰⲘⲎ.
There were also women looking on from a distance; among whom was Mary the Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
41 ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲚⲀⲨⲞⲨⲈϨ ⲚⲤⲰϤ ϨⲞⲦⲈ ⲈϤⲬⲎ ϦⲈⲚϮⲄⲀⲖⲒⲖⲈⲀ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨϢⲈⲘϢⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲔⲈⲘⲎϢ ⲈⲀⲨⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈⲒⲈⲢⲞⲤⲀⲖⲎⲘ.
who, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and rendered him their services; and many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem.
42 ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϨⲎⲆⲎ ⲈⲦⲀ ⲢⲞⲨϨⲒ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲠⲒⲆⲎ ⲚⲈϮⲠⲀⲢⲀⲤⲔⲈⲨⲎ ⲦⲈ ⲈⲦϦⲀϪⲰϤ ⲘⲠⲤⲀⲂⲂⲀⲦⲞⲚ
And evening having now come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,
43 ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲰⲤⲎⲪ ⲠⲒⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲀⲢⲒⲘⲀⲐⲈⲀⲤ ⲈⲞⲨⲈⲨⲤⲬⲎⲘⲰⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲘⲂⲞⲨⲖⲈⲨⲦⲎ ⲤⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ϨⲰϤ ⲚⲀϤϪⲞⲨϢⲦ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲀⲦϨⲎ ⲚϮⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲦⲞⲖⲘⲀⲚ ⲀϤϢⲈ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ϨⲀ ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲈⲦⲒⲚ ⲘⲠⲤⲰⲘⲀ ⲚⲒⲎⲤ
Joseph of Arimathaea, an honorable councilor, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, came, and boldly went in to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus.
44 ⲙ̅ⲇ̅ ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤⲈⲢϢⲪⲎⲢⲒ ϪⲈ ϨⲎⲆⲎ ⲀϤⲘⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲠⲒⲈⲔⲀⲦⲞⲚⲦⲀⲢⲬ ⲞⲤ ⲀϤϢⲈⲚϤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚ ⲀϤⲞⲨⲰ ⲀϤⲘⲞⲨ.
And Pilate wondered that he was already dead; and calling to him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been long dead.
45 ⲙ̅ⲉ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲈⲘⲒ ⲚⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲘⲠⲒⲈⲔⲀⲦⲞⲚⲦⲀⲢⲬ ⲞⲤ ⲀϤϮ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲰⲘⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚⲒⲰⲤⲎⲪ
And having been informed by the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.
46 ⲙ̅ⲋ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤϢⲈⲠ ⲞⲨϢⲈⲚⲦⲰ ⲀϤⲈⲚϤ ⲈϦⲢⲎⲒ ⲀϤⲔⲞⲨⲖⲰⲖϤ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϢⲈⲚⲦⲰ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲬⲀϤ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘϨⲀⲨ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦϢⲎⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲠⲈⲦⲢⲀ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲤⲔⲈⲢⲔⲈⲢ ⲘⲠⲒⲰⲚⲒ ⲈⲢⲰϤ ⲘⲠⲒⲘϨⲀⲨ.
And having bought fine linen, he took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a tomb which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone to the door of the tomb.
47 ⲙ̅ⲍ̅ ⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲆⲈ ϮⲘⲀⲄⲆⲀⲖⲒⲚⲎ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲒⲰⲤⲎⲦⲞⲤ ⲚⲀⲨⲚⲀⲨ ⲠⲈ ϪⲈ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲬⲀϤ ⲐⲰⲚ.
And Mary the Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where he was laid.
