1 ⲁ̅ ⲚⲀⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲬⲀ ⲠⲒⲚⲀϨϮ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲈⲚϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲢⲈϤϪⲞⲨϢⲦ ⲈϨⲞ
My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲒ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲨⲚⲀⲄⲰⲄⲎ ⲚϪⲈⲞⲨⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨϢϬ ⲞⲨⲢ ⲚⲚⲞⲨⲂ ⲦⲞⲒ ⲈⲠⲈϤⲦⲎⲂ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϨⲈⲂⲤⲰ ⲈⲤⲪⲞⲢⲒ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ϨⲰϤ ⲚϪⲈⲞⲨϨⲎⲔⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϨⲈⲂⲤⲰ ⲈⲤⲀⲐⲒⲰⲞⲨ
For if there come into your assembly a man with a gold ring, in fine apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
3 ⲅ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϪⲞⲨϢⲦ ⲈⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ϮϨⲈⲂⲤⲰ ⲈⲦⲪⲞⲢⲒ ⲦⲞⲒ ϨⲒⲰⲦϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϪⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ϨⲈⲘⲤⲒ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲘⲀ ⲚⲔⲀⲖⲰⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϪⲞⲤ ⲘⲠⲒϨⲎⲔⲒ ϨⲰϤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦⲔ ϨⲀⲘⲚⲎ ⲒⲈ ϨⲈⲘⲤⲒ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲘⲀ ϦⲀⲦⲈⲚ ⲪⲘⲀ ⲚⲬⲀ ⲚⲒϬⲀⲖⲀⲨϪ.
And ye have respect to him that weareth the fine clothing, and say to him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
4 ⲇ̅ ⲘⲎ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚⲬⲀ ⲞⲨϢⲒⲂϮ ⲚϨⲢⲎⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲢⲢⲈϤϮϨⲀⲠ ⲚϦⲢⲎⲒ ϦⲈⲚϨⲀⲚⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲈⲨϨⲰⲞⲨ
Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
5 ⲉ̅ ⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲚⲀⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲀⲘⲈⲚⲢⲀϮ ⲘⲎ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲀϤⲤⲰⲦⲠ ⲚⲚⲒϨⲎⲔⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲢⲀⲘⲀⲞ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲚⲀϨϮ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲔⲖⲎⲢⲞⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲐⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲰϢ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲘⲈⲚⲢⲒⲦϤ
Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
6 ⲋ̅ ⲚⲐⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲈϢ ⲠⲒϨⲎⲔⲒ ⲘⲎ ⲚⲒⲢⲀⲘⲀⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲦⲞⲒ ⲚϪⲰⲢⲒ ⲈⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲤⲰⲔ ⲘⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲈϨⲀⲚⲘⲀⲚϮϨⲀⲠ
But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
7 ⲍ̅ ⲘⲎ ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲦϪⲈⲞⲨⲀ ⲈⲠⲒⲢⲀⲚ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲚⲈϤ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ
Do they not blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
8 ⲏ̅ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲘⲈⲚ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϪⲰⲔ ⲘⲠⲒⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲚⲒⲄⲢⲀⲪⲎ ϪⲈ ⲈⲔⲈⲘⲈⲚⲢⲈ ⲠⲈⲔϢⲪⲎⲢ ⲘⲠⲈⲔⲢⲎϮ ⲔⲀⲖⲰⲤ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲢⲀ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ.
If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 ⲑ̅ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϪⲞⲨϢⲦ ⲈϨⲞ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲢϨⲰⲂ ⲈⲪⲚⲞⲂⲒ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲪⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ ⲤⲞϨⲒ ⲘⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϨⲰⲤ ⲠⲀⲢⲀⲂⲀⲦⲎⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ.
But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
10 ⲓ̅ ⲪⲎ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲀⲢⲈϨ ⲈⲪⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈϤϨⲈⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲀϤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲈⲚⲞⲬⲞⲤ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ
For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲪⲎ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲚⲈⲔⲈⲢⲚⲰⲒⲔ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲞⲚ ⲀϤϪⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲚⲈⲔϦⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲔⲞⲒ ⲚⲚⲰⲒⲔ ⲀⲚ ⲔϦⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲔϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲔⲞⲒ ⲘⲠⲀⲢⲀⲂⲀⲦⲎⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ
For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou committest no adultery, yet if thou killest, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲢⲒⲞⲨⲒ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ϨⲰⲤ ⲈⲨⲚⲀϮϨⲀⲠ ⲈⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲪⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲘⲈⲦⲢⲈⲘϨⲈ
So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲠⲒϨⲀⲠ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲞⲨⲀⲐⲚⲀⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲘⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲒⲢⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲚⲀⲒ ϢⲀⲢⲈ ⲪⲚⲀⲒ ⲄⲀⲢ ϢⲞⲨϢⲞⲨ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒϨⲀⲠ.
For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shown no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲞⲨ ⲠⲈ ⲠϨⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲀⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲀⲒ ϪⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚϮ ⲚⲀϨϮ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲚⲦⲀϤ ⲆⲈ ⲚϨⲀⲚϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲘⲎ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲚⲀϨϮ ⲚⲀϨⲘⲈϤ ⲀϬⲚⲈ ⲚⲒϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ
What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man saith he hath faith, and hath not works? can faith save him?
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲆⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲤⲞⲚ ⲒⲈ ⲞⲨⲤⲰⲚⲒ ⲈⲨⲂⲎϢ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨϢⲀⲦ ⲚⲦϦⲢⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ
If a brother or sister is naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲚⲦⲈ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲘⲀϢⲈ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϨⲒⲢⲎ ⲚⲎ ϦⲘⲞⲘ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲦⲈⲘϮ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲬⲢⲒⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲤⲰⲘⲀ ⲞⲨ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲒϨⲎⲞⲨ
And one of you saith to them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; but ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ϨⲰϤ ⲠⲒⲚⲀϨϮ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϨⲰⲂ ⲚϦⲎⲦϤ ϤⲘⲰⲞⲨⲦ ϦⲀⲢⲒ ϦⲀⲢⲞϤ
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ϤⲚⲀϪⲞⲤ ⲚϪⲈⲞⲨⲀⲒ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲞⲨⲞⲚⲦⲀⲔ ⲚⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲆⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚⲦⲎⲒ ⲚϨⲀⲚϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲘⲀⲦⲀⲘⲞⲒ ⲈⲠⲈⲔⲚⲀϨϮ ⲬⲰⲢⲒⲤ ⲚⲒϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲦⲀⲦⲀⲘⲞⲔ ⲈⲠⲀⲚⲀϨϮ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲀϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ
But, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲬⲚⲀϨϮ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲔⲀⲖⲰⲤ ⲔⲢⲀ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲒⲔⲈⲆⲈⲘⲰⲚ ϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲤⲈⲚⲀϨϮ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲈⲤⲐⲈⲢⲦⲈⲢ
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the demons also believe, and tremble.
20 ⲕ̅ ⲬⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲈⲘⲒ ⲰⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲈⲦϢⲞⲨⲒⲦ ϪⲈ ⲠⲒⲚⲀϨϮ ⲬⲰⲢⲒⲤ ⲚⲒϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ϤⲘⲰⲞⲨⲦ
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲀⲂⲢⲀⲀⲘ ⲠⲈⲚⲒⲰⲦ ⲘⲎ ⲚⲈⲦⲀⲨⲐⲘⲀⲒⲞϤ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲈⲚ ⲒⲤⲀⲀⲔ ⲠⲈϤϢⲎⲢⲒ ϨⲒϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲘⲀⲚⲈⲢϢⲰⲞⲨϢⲒ
Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲬⲚⲀⲨ ϪⲈ ⲚⲀⲢⲈ ⲠⲒⲚⲀϨϮ ⲈⲢϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ Ⲁ- ⲠⲒⲚⲀϨϮ ϪⲰⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ
Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲤϪⲰⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϪⲈϮⲄⲢⲀⲪⲎ ϪⲈ ⲀϤⲚⲀϨϮ ⲚϪⲈⲀⲂⲢⲀⲀⲘ ⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲀⲨⲞⲠⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ⲈⲞⲨⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲠϢⲪⲎⲢ ⲘⲪϮ
And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀⲨ ϪⲈ ⲀⲨⲚⲀⲐⲘⲀⲒⲈ ⲠⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲈⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲚⲀϨϮ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦϤ ⲀⲚ
Ye see then that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲞⲚ ⲢⲀⲀⲂ ϮⲠⲞⲢⲚⲎ ⲘⲎ ⲚⲈⲦⲀⲨⲐⲘⲀⲒⲞⲤ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲈⲦⲀⲤϢⲈⲠ ⲚⲒϪⲎⲢ ⲈⲢⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲤϮⲦⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲔⲈⲘⲰⲒⲦ
Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲰⲘⲀ ⲬⲰⲢⲒⲤ ⲠⲒⲠⲚⲈⲨⲘⲀϤⲘⲰⲞⲨⲦ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ϨⲰϤ ⲠⲒⲚⲀϨϮ ⲬⲰⲢⲒⲤ ⲚⲒϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ϤⲘⲰⲞⲨⲦ.
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
