1 ⲁ̅ ⲀⲢⲬⲎⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲦⲞⲨϬⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲈϢⲀⲨⲦⲀϨⲞϤ ⲈⲢⲀⲦϤ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ϦⲀⲦⲈⲚ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲈⲚ ⲆⲰⲢⲞⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ϢⲞⲨϢⲰⲞⲨϢⲒ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲒⲚⲞⲂⲒ.
For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈϢⲈⲠⲘⲔⲀϨ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϢⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲀⲦⲈⲘⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲤⲰⲢⲈⲘ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ϨⲰϤ ϤⲬⲎ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϢⲰⲚⲒ.
The high priest can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲐⲂⲎⲦϤ ⲤⲈⲘⲠϢⲀ ⲚⲀϤ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈϢⲀϤⲒⲚⲒ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲀ ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲞⲤ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ϨⲰϤ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲒⲚⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲈϤⲚⲞⲂⲒ ⲘⲘⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ.
Because of this, he must offer sacrifices for sins for the people, as well as for himself.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲠⲀⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ϬⲒ ⲚⲀϤ ⲘⲠⲒⲦⲀⲒⲞ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦϤ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲀϤⲐⲰϨⲈⲘ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲀⲀⲢⲰⲚ.
Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ϨⲰϤ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲦⲀϤϮⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦϤ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲐⲢⲈϤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲀⲢⲬⲎⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲪⲎ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲀϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲀⲒϪⲪⲞⲔ ⲘⲪⲞⲞⲨ.
So also Christ did not glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father.”
6 ⲋ̅ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϦⲈⲚⲔⲈⲘⲀ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲪⲞⲨⲎⲂ ϢⲀ ⲈⲚⲈϨ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲦⲦⲀⲜⲒⲤ ⲘⲘⲈⲖⲬⲒⲤⲈⲆⲈⲔ. (aiōn g165)
As he says also in another place, "You are a priest for the age (aiōn g165), after the order of Melchizedek."
7 ⲍ̅ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲒⲚⲒ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈϤⲤⲀⲢⲜ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲦⲰⲂϨ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚϮϨⲞ ϨⲀ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲚⲀϨⲘⲈϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲪⲘⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨϦⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲈϤϪⲞⲢ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲈⲢⲘⲰⲞⲨⲒ ⲈⲀϤⲈⲚⲞⲨ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲦϨⲞϮ.
He, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,
8 ⲏ̅ ⲔⲈⲠⲈⲢ ⲈⲞⲨϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲀϤⲈⲘⲒ ⲈϮⲘⲈⲦⲢⲈϤⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲘⲔⲀⲨϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤϬⲒⲦⲞⲨ.
though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲰⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲀϤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲚⲤⲰϤ ⲚⲞⲨⲖⲰⲒϪⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲞⲨϪⲀⲒ ⲚⲈⲚⲈϨ. (aiōnios g166)
Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of consummate (aiōnios g166) salvation,
10 ⲓ̅ ⲈⲀ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲢⲬⲎⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ϢⲀ ⲈⲚⲈϨ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲦⲦⲀⲜⲒⲤ ⲘⲘⲈⲖⲬⲒⲤⲈⲆⲈⲔ.
named by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲈⲐⲂⲎⲦϤ ⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲚⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϤⲘⲞⲔϨ ⲚⲞⲨⲀϨⲘⲈϤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲰⲚⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ.
About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲔⲈ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲀⲤⲘⲠϢⲀ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲈⲢⲢⲈϤϮ ⲤⲂⲰ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲠⲒⲬⲢⲞⲚⲞⲤ ⲠⲀⲖⲒⲚ ⲞⲚ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲢⲬⲢⲒⲀ ⲚⲦⲤⲀⲂⲈ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲚⲒⲤⲦⲞⲒⲬⲒⲞⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲀⲢⲬⲎ ⲚⲚⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲢⲬⲢⲒⲀ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲢⲰϮ ⲚⲞⲨϦⲢⲈ ⲈⲤϪⲞⲢ ⲀⲚ.
For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the revelations of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲐⲞⲨⲈⲘ ⲈⲢⲰϮ ⲚϤϦⲈⲦϦⲰⲦ ⲀⲚ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲞⲨⲀⲖⲞⲨ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲠⲈ.
For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ϮϦⲢⲈ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦϪⲞⲢ ⲐⲀ ⲚⲒⲦⲈⲖⲒⲞⲤ ⲦⲈ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲦⲞⲨϨⲈⲜⲒⲤ ⲞⲨⲞⲚⲦⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲤⲐⲎ ⲦⲎⲢⲒⲞⲚ ⲈⲨϦⲈⲦϦⲰⲦ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲈⲠϪⲒⲚⲈⲘⲒ ⲈⲠϢⲒⲂϮ ⲘⲠⲒⲠⲈⲐⲚⲀⲚⲈϤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲠⲈⲦϨⲰⲞⲨ.
But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
