1 ⲁ̅ ⲠⲒⲠⲢⲈⲤⲂⲨⲦⲈⲢⲞⲤ ⲚⲄⲀⲒⲞⲤ ⲠⲒⲀⲄⲀⲠⲎⲦⲞⲤ ⲪⲎ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲈϮⲘⲈⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ
The elder to the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in truth.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲠⲀⲘⲈⲚⲢⲒⲦ ϮⲦⲰⲂϨ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲚⲈⲔⲘⲰⲒⲦ ⲤⲰⲞⲨⲦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈⲔⲞⲨϪⲀⲒ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲚⲈⲚⲘⲰⲒⲦ ⲚⲦⲈⲔⲮⲨⲬⲎ ⲤⲞⲨⲦⲰⲚ
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲀⲒⲢⲀϢⲒ ⲈⲘⲀϢⲰ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ϦⲀ ⲦⲈⲔⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲈⲦⲈⲔⲘⲞϢⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ
For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲘⲘⲞⲚϮ ϨⲘⲞⲦ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲚⲒϢϮ ⲈⲪⲀⲒ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲀⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲚⲀϢⲎⲢⲒ ϪⲈ ⲤⲈⲘⲞϢⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲠⲒⲀⲄⲀⲠⲎⲦⲞⲤ ⲞⲨϨⲰⲂ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲈⲦⲈⲔⲒⲢⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲔⲈⲢϨⲰⲂ ⲚϦⲢⲎⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲪⲀⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒϢⲈⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ
Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;
6 ⲋ̅ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ϦⲀ ⲦⲈⲔⲀⲄⲀⲠⲎ ⲘⲠⲈⲘⲐⲞ ⲚⲚⲞⲨⲈⲔⲔⲖⲎⲤⲒⲀ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲔⲀⲖⲰⲤ ⲬⲚⲀⲀⲒⲤ ⲈⲔⲦⲪⲞ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲘⲠϢⲀ ⲘⲪϮ
Who have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou shalt bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:
7 ⲍ̅ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲒ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲢⲀⲚ ⲚⲤⲈϬⲒ ϨⲖⲒ ⲀⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲒⲈⲐⲚⲒⲔⲞⲤ
Because for his name’s sake they went forth, taking nothing from the Gentiles.
8 ⲏ̅ ⲀⲚⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲤϢⲈ ⲚⲀⲚ ⲈϢⲈⲠ ⲚⲀⲒⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲢⲞⲚ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲈⲢϢⲪⲎⲢ ⲚⲈⲢϨⲰⲂ ⲈϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ
We therefore ought to receive such, that we may be fellowhelpers to the truth.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲀⲔⲤϦⲀⲒ ⲚⲞⲨϨⲰⲂ ⲚϮⲈⲔⲔⲖⲎⲤⲒⲀ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲆⲒⲞⲦⲢⲈⲪⲎⲤ ⲠⲒⲘⲀⲒⲈⲢϨⲞⲨⲒⲦ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ϤϢⲎⲠ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲀⲚ.
I wrote to the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
10 ⲓ̅ ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ ⲀⲒϢⲀⲚⲒ ϮⲚⲀⲐⲢⲈϤⲈⲢⲪⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲚⲚⲈϤϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲈⲦⲈϤⲒⲢⲒ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲈϤⲈⲢⲪⲖⲞⲒⲀⲢⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϦⲈⲚϨⲀⲚⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲘⲠⲞⲚⲎⲢⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϤⲔⲎⲚ ⲀⲚ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲀⲒ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ϤϢⲰⲠ ⲚⲚⲒⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲀⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲐⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲈϢⲞⲠⲞⲨ ϤⲬⲰ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϤⲤⲒϮ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚϮⲈⲔⲔⲖⲎⲤⲒⲀ
Therefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content with that, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲠⲀⲘⲈⲚⲢⲒⲦ ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲦⲈⲚⲐⲰⲚⲔ ⲈⲠⲒⲠⲈⲦϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈⲠⲒⲠⲈⲐⲚⲀⲚⲈϤ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲒⲢⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲠⲈⲐⲚⲀⲚⲈϤ ⲞⲨⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲠⲈ ⲪⲎ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲒⲢⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲠⲈⲦϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲪϮ
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲀⲨⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲚⲆⲒⲘⲎⲦⲢⲒⲞⲤ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲚⲞⲚ ⲦⲈⲚⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲔⲤⲰⲞⲨⲚ ϪⲈ ⲦⲈⲚⲘⲈⲦⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲘⲎⲒ ⲦⲈ
Demetrius hath good report by all men, and by the truth itself: and, we also bear witness; and ye know that our witness is true.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚϮ ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲈⲤϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲚϮⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲤϦⲀⲒ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲘⲈⲖⲀ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲔⲀϢ
I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write to thee:
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ϮⲈⲢϨⲈⲖⲠⲒⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲤⲀⲦⲞⲦ ⲈⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲢⲞⲔ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲈⲚⲈⲢⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲢⲞ ⲞⲨⲂⲈ ⲢⲞ ⲦϨⲒⲢⲎⲚⲎ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲤⲈϢⲒⲚⲒ ⲈⲢⲞⲔ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒϢⲪⲈⲢ ϢⲒⲚⲒ ⲈⲚⲒϢⲪⲈⲢ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲚⲞⲨⲢⲀⲚ.
But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends greet thee. Greet the friends by name.
