1 ⲁ̅ ⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚⲦⲀⲚ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲚⲚⲀⲒⲰϢ ⲚⲀⲘⲈⲚⲢⲀϮ ⲘⲀⲢⲈⲚⲦⲞⲨⲂⲞⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲀ ⲐⲰⲖⲈⲂ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲤⲀⲢⲜ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲠⲚⲈⲨⲘⲀⲈⲚϪⲰⲔ ⲘⲠⲒⲦⲞⲨⲂⲞ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚϮϨⲞϮ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ.
Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 ⲃ̅ ϢⲞⲠⲦⲈⲚ ⲈⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲘⲠⲈⲚϬⲒ ϨⲖⲒ ⲚϪⲞⲚⲤ ⲘⲠⲈⲚⲦⲀⲔⲈ ϨⲖⲒ ⲘⲠⲈⲚϤⲈϪ ϨⲖⲒ.
Open your hearts to us. We wronged no one. We corrupted no one. We took advantage of no one.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲚⲀⲒϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲀⲚ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲞⲨϨⲒⲞⲨⲒ ⲘⲠϨⲀⲠ ⲀⲒⲈⲢϢⲞⲢⲠ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚϪⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲬⲎ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲈⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲈⲈⲢϢⲪⲎⲢ ⲘⲘⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲈⲈⲢϢⲪⲎ ⲢⲚⲰⲚϦ.
I say this not to condemn you, for I have said before, that you are in our hearts to die together and live together.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲞⲨⲞⲚⲦⲎⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲘⲠⲀⲢⲢⲎⲤⲒⲀ ϨⲀⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲞⲚⲦⲎⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲚϢⲞⲨϢⲞⲨ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲀⲒⲘⲞϨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲚⲞⲘϮ ⲀⲒⲈⲢϨⲞⲨⲞ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲢⲀϢⲒ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚϨⲞϪϨⲈϪ ⲦⲎⲢϤ.
Great is my boldness of speech toward you. Great is my boasting on your behalf. I am filled with comfort. I overflow with joy in all our affliction.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲔⲈ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲦⲀⲚⲒ ⲈⲐⲘⲀⲔⲈⲆⲞⲚⲒⲀ ⲘⲠⲈ ⲦⲈⲚⲤⲀⲢⲜ ϬⲒ ϨⲖⲒ ⲚⲘⲦⲞⲚ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈⲚϨⲈϪϨⲰϪ ϦⲈⲚϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲤⲀⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲀⲚϢⲰⲚⲦ ⲤⲀϦⲞⲨⲚ ϨⲀⲚϨⲞϮ.
For even when we had come into Macedonia, our flesh had no relief, but we were afflicted on every side. Fightings were outside. Fear was inside.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲪⲎ ⲈϢⲀϤϮⲚⲞⲘϮ ⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲐⲈⲂⲒⲎ ⲞⲨⲦ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲀϤϮⲚⲞⲘϮ ⲚⲀⲚ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲠⲀⲢⲞⲨⲤⲒⲀ ⲚⲦⲒⲦⲞⲤ.
Nevertheless, he who comforts the lowly, God, comforted us by the coming of Titus;
7 ⲍ̅ ⲞⲨ ⲘⲞⲚⲞⲚ ⲆⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲈϤⲠⲀⲢⲞⲨⲤⲒⲀ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲚⲈⲘ ϦⲈⲚϮⲔⲈⲚⲞⲘϮ ⲐⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲦⲀϪⲢⲞ ⲚϦⲢⲎⲒ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲤ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲈϤⲦⲀⲘⲞ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲈⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚⲘⲈⲒ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚⲢⲒⲘⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚⲬ ⲞϨ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲰⲚ ϨⲰⲤⲦⲈ ⲚⲦⲀⲢⲀϢⲒ ⲚϨⲞⲨⲞ
and not by his coming only, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted in you, while he told us of your longing, your mourning, and your zeal for me; so that I rejoiced still more.
8 ⲏ̅ ϪⲈ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲀⲒϮⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϦⲈⲚϮⲈⲠⲒⲤⲦⲞⲖⲎ ⲚϮⲞⲨⲰⲘ ⲚϨⲐⲎⲒ ⲀⲚ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲚⲀⲒⲈⲢⲠⲔⲈⲞⲨⲰⲘ ⲚϨⲐⲎⲒ ⲠⲈ ϮⲚⲀⲨ ⲄⲀⲢ ϪⲈ ϮⲈⲠⲒⲤⲦⲞⲖⲎ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ϪⲈ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲀⲤϮⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲚϨⲎ ⲦⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲠⲢⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲔⲞⲨϪⲒ
For though I made you sorry with my letter, I do not regret it, though I did regret it. For I see that my letter made you sorry, though just for a while.
9 ⲑ̅ ϮⲚⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ϮⲢⲀϢⲒ ⲞⲨⲬ ⲞⲦⲒ ϪⲈ ⲀⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲢⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ϪⲈ ⲀⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲢⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲈⲨⲘⲈⲦⲀⲚⲞⲒⲀ ⲀⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲢⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲦⲈⲘϮⲞⲤⲒ ⲚϨⲖⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ.
I now rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that you were made sorry to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly way, that you might suffer loss by us in nothing.
10 ⲓ̅ ⲠⲒⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲀϤⲈⲢϨⲰⲂ ⲈⲨⲘⲈⲦⲀⲚⲞⲒⲀ ⲈⲨⲚⲞϨⲈⲘ ⲚⲀⲦⲞⲨⲈⲘ ⲚϨⲐⲎϤ ⲠⲒⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ϢⲀϤⲈⲢϨⲰⲂ ⲈⲨⲘⲞⲨ.
For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world works death.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ϨⲎⲠⲠⲈ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲒⲤ ⲠⲒⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲈⲦⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲀⲒϤ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲀϤⲈⲢϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲈⲞⲨⲘⲎ ϢⲚⲤⲠⲞⲨⲆⲎ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈⲨⲀⲠⲞⲖⲞⲄⲒⲀ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈⲨⲀⲄⲀⲚⲀⲔⲦⲎⲤⲒⲤ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈⲨϨⲞϮ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈⲨⲘⲈⲒ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈⲨⲬⲞϨ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈⲨϬⲒ ⲘⲠϢⲒϢ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϦⲈⲚϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲀⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲦⲀϨⲈ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲈⲢⲀⲦⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲀⲂ ⲘⲠⲒϨⲰⲂ.
For look at this very thing, that you were made sorry in a godly way. What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, what vindication. In everything you proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ϨⲀⲢⲀ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲀⲒⲤϦⲀⲒ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲪⲎ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲦⲀϤϬⲒⲚϪⲞⲚⲤ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲪⲎ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲦⲀⲨϬⲒⲦϤ ⲚϪⲞⲚⲤ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ϪⲈ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲤⲞⲨⲰⲚϨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϪⲈⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲠⲞⲨⲆⲎ ⲐⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲒⲢⲒ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲰⲚ ϨⲀⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲘⲠⲈⲘⲐⲞ ⲘⲠϬⲤ
So although I wrote to you, I wrote not for his cause that did the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered the wrong, but that your earnest care for us might be revealed in you in the sight of God.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ ⲀⲨⲐⲈⲦ ⲠⲈⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲚⲞⲘϮ ⲚϨⲞⲨⲞ ⲘⲀⲖⲖⲞⲚ ⲀⲚⲢⲀϢⲒ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲢⲀϢⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲒⲦⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲠⲈϤⲠⲚⲈⲨⲘⲀⲘⲦⲞⲚ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ.
Therefore we have been comforted. In our comfort we rejoiced the more exceedingly for the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ϪⲈ ⲠⲀϢⲞⲨϢⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲀⲒⲀⲒϤ ϦⲀⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲘⲠⲒϢⲒⲠⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲀⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲞⲚ ⲠⲈⲚϢⲞⲨϢⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲀⲚⲀⲒϤ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ϦⲀⲦⲈⲚ ⲦⲒⲦⲞⲤ ⲀϤϢⲰⲠⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ.
For if in anything I have boasted to him on your behalf, I was not disappointed. But as we spoke all things to you in truth, so our glorying also which I made before Titus was found to be truth.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦϨⲞⲨⲞ ⲚⲈϤⲘⲈⲦϢⲀⲚⲐⲘⲀϦⲦ ⲤⲈϢⲞⲠ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲈϤⲒⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲘⲈⲦⲢⲈϤⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲞⲠϤ ⲈⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϨⲞϮ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲤⲐⲈⲢⲦⲈⲢ.
His affection is more abundantly toward you, while he remembers all of your obedience, how with fear and trembling you received him.
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ϮⲢⲀϢⲒ ϪⲈ ϦⲈⲚϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ϮⲦⲀϪⲢⲎ ⲞⲨⲦ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ϦⲈⲚⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ.
I rejoice that in everything I am of good courage concerning you.
