1 ⲁ̅ ϮϮϨⲞ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲚϢⲞⲢⲠ ⲚϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲒⲢⲒ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲦⲰⲂϨ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲠⲢⲞⲤⲈⲨⲬⲎ ϨⲀⲚⲤⲈⲘⲒ ϨⲀⲚϢⲈⲠϨⲘⲞⲦ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ.
I EXHORT therefore, first of all, that there be offered supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings for the whole race of mankind:
2 ⲃ̅ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲒⲞⲨⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲦϬⲞⲤⲒ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϢⲰⲠⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲰⲚϦ ⲈϤϨⲞⲨⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲢⲈⲘⲢⲀⲨϢ ϦⲈⲚⲘⲈⲦⲈⲨⲤⲈⲂⲎ ⲤⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲘⲈⲦⲤⲈⲘⲚⲞⲤ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ.
for kings, and all that are in a state of eminence, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and seriousness.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲚⲀⲚⲈϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϤϢⲎⲠ ⲘⲠⲈⲘⲐⲞ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲠⲈⲚⲤⲰⲦⲎⲢ.
For this is becoming, and acceptable before God our Saviour;
4 ⲇ̅ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲐⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲚⲦⲈⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲚⲞϨⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲤⲈⲒ ⲈⲠⲤⲞⲨⲈⲚ ϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ.
who wills all men to be saved, and come to the acknowledgment of truth.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲠⲈ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲒⲘⲈⲤⲒⲦⲎⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲞⲨⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲒⲎⲤ
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 ⲋ̅ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲤⲰϮ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲈϤⲤⲎⲞⲨ
who gave himself a ransom for all, the testimony to be born in his appointed times;
7 ⲍ̅ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲬⲀⲦ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚⲢⲈϤϨⲒⲰⲒϢ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲀⲠⲞⲤⲦⲞⲖⲞⲤ ⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲠⲈϮϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚϮϪⲈⲘⲈⲐⲚⲞⲨϪ ⲀⲚ ⲪⲢⲈϤϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲚⲦⲈϨⲀⲚⲈⲐⲚⲞⲤ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ.
of which I am ordained a preacher and apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, I lie not, ) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
8 ⲏ̅ ϮⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲦⲰⲂϨ ϦⲈⲚⲘⲀⲒ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲨϤⲀⲒ ⲚϨⲀⲚϪⲒϪ ⲈⲠϢⲰⲒ ⲈⲨⲞⲨⲀⲂ ⲬⲰⲢⲒⲤ ϪⲰⲚⲦ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲘⲞⲔⲘⲈⲔ.
I will then that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands without wrath or doubting:
9 ⲑ̅ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲞⲚ ⲚⲒϨⲒⲞⲘⲒ ⲈⲨϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲤⲀⲒ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲈⲤⲞⲢϤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦϪⲪⲒⲎϮ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲤⲀⲂⲈ ⲈⲨⲤⲞⲖⲤⲈⲖ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚϨⲀⲚϨⲰⲖⲔ ⲀⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲚⲞⲨⲂ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲀⲚⲀⲘⲎⲒ ⲒⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϬⲒϨⲂⲰⲤ ⲈⲚⲀϢⲈⲚⲤⲞⲨⲈⲚϤ.
in like manner also that the women dress themselves in decent apparel, with modesty and sobriety; not with plaited tresses, or gold, or pearls, or very costly clothing,
10 ⲓ̅ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲠⲈⲦϨⲢⲀⲨ ⲚⲚⲒϨⲒⲞⲘⲒ ϬⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲨⲰϢ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲐⲈⲞⲤⲈⲂⲎⲤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚϨⲀⲚϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲈⲚⲀⲚⲈⲨ
but as becometh women professing godliness, with good works.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲞⲨⲤϨⲒⲘⲒ ⲘⲀⲢⲈⲤϬⲒⲤⲂⲰ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲢⲈⲘⲢⲀⲨϢ ⲚϦⲢⲎⲒ ϦⲈⲚϬⲚⲈϪⲰϤ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ.
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection:
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ϮⲞⲨⲀϨⲤⲀϨⲚⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲚ ⲚⲤϨⲒⲘⲒ ⲈϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲈⲐⲢⲈⲤⲈⲢϪⲰϪ ⲈⲠⲈⲤϨⲀⲒ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲘⲀⲢⲈⲤϬⲒⲤⲂⲰ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲢⲈⲘⲢⲀⲨϢ.
for I permit not a woman to teach in public, or to assume authority over the man, but to abide in silence.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲀⲆⲀⲘ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲀⲨⲈⲢⲠⲖⲀⲌⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚϢⲞⲢⲠ ⲒⲦⲀ ⲈⲨⲀ.
For Adam was first formed, Eve afterwards.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲆⲀⲘ ⲘⲠⲞⲨϢⲈⲢϨⲀⲖ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϮⲤϨⲒⲘⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲤ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲈⲢϨⲀⲖ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲀⲤϢⲰⲠⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲠⲀⲢⲀⲂⲀⲤⲒⲤ.
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, by transgression fell.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲈⲤⲈⲚⲞϨⲈⲘ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲦⲈⲤⲘⲈⲦⲢⲈϤϪⲪⲈ ϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲀⲨϢⲀⲚⲞϨⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲚⲀϨϮ ⲚⲈⲘ ϮⲀⲄⲀⲠⲎ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲦⲞⲨⲂⲞ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲤⲀⲂⲈ.
But she shall be saved through childbearing, if they abide in faith, and love, and holiness with sobriety.
