1 ⲁ̅ ⲚⲐⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲘⲒ ⲚⲈⲚⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲘⲠⲈⲚⲘⲰⲒⲦ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲦⲀⲚϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϨⲀⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϪⲈ ⲘⲠⲈϤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈϤϢⲞⲨⲒⲦ.
For you yourselves know, brothers, our visit to you was not in vain,
2 ⲃ̅ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲀⲚⲈⲢϢⲞⲢⲠ ⲚϬⲒϦⲒⲤⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨϢⲞϢⲈⲚ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲘⲒ ϪⲈ ⲚϨⲢⲎ ⲒϦⲈⲚ ⲪⲒⲖⲒⲠⲠⲞⲒⲤ ⲀⲚⲞⲨⲞⲚϨⲈⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲈⲚⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲘⲠⲒⲈⲨⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲒⲞⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲚⲀⲄⲰⲚ.
but having suffered before and been shamefully treated, as you know, at Philippi, we grew bold in our God to tell you the Good News of God in much conflict.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲠⲈⲚⲐⲰⲦ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲠⲖⲀⲚⲎ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϬⲰϦⲈⲘ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲬⲢⲞϤ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ.
For our exhortation is not of error, nor of uncleanness, nor in deception.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲈⲢⲆⲞⲔⲒⲘⲀⲌⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲦⲈⲚϨⲞⲨⲦⲈⲚ ⲈⲠⲒⲈⲨⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲒⲞⲚ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲦⲈⲚⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲀⲚ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲈⲨⲢⲀⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈⲢⲆⲞⲔⲒⲘⲀⲌⲒⲚ ⲚⲚⲈⲚϨⲎⲦ.
But even as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News, so we speak; not as pleasing people, but God, who tests our hearts.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲘⲠⲈⲚϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲚⲈϨ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲤⲞⲠⲤⲈⲠ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲘⲒ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲖⲰⲒϪⲒ ⲘⲘⲈⲦϬⲒⲚϪⲞⲚⲤ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ.
For neither were we at any time found using words of flattery, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed (God is witness),
6 ⲋ̅ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲚⲀⲚⲔⲰϮ ⲚⲤⲀⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲚ ϨⲀⲚⲔⲈⲬⲰⲞⲨⲚⲒ.
nor seeking glory from people (neither from you nor from others), when we might have claimed authority as apostles of Christ.
7 ⲍ̅ ⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲈϢⲰⲠⲒ ϦⲀ ⲞⲨⲂⲀⲢⲞⲤ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲀⲠⲞⲤⲦⲞⲖⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲀⲚⲈⲢⲔⲞⲨϪⲒ ⲚⲀⲖⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲘⲎϮ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲈⲤⲈⲢⲐⲀⲖⲠⲒⲚ ⲈⲚⲈⲤϢⲎⲢⲒ.
But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother cherishes her own children.
8 ⲏ̅ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲚⲦⲀϢⲈ ⲘⲈⲒ ⲘⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲀⲚϮⲘⲀϮ ⲈϮ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨ ⲘⲞⲚⲞⲚ ⲘⲠⲒⲈⲨⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲒⲞⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲈⲚⲔⲈⲮⲨⲬⲎ ⲈⲐⲂⲈϪⲈ ⲀⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲚⲀⲚ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲘⲈⲚⲢⲀϮ.
Even so, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you, not the Good News of God only, but also our own souls, because you had become very dear to us.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲀⲢⲒⲪⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲈⲚⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲘⲠⲈⲚϦⲒⲤⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲈⲚⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲈⲚⲈⲢϨⲰⲂ ⲚϪⲰⲢϨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲘⲈⲢⲒ ϪⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲚϢⲦⲈⲘⲞⲨⲀϨⲂⲀⲢⲞⲤ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲘⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲀⲚϨⲒⲰⲒϢ ϦⲈⲚⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲘⲠⲒⲈⲨⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲒⲞⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ.
For you remember, brothers, our labor and travail; for working night and day, that we might not burden any of you, we preached to you the Good News of God.
10 ⲓ̅ ⲚⲐⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲈⲦⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϪⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲦⲞⲨⲂⲞ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲀⲦⲀⲢⲒⲔⲒ ⲀⲚϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϦⲀ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀϨϮ.
You are witnesses with God, how holy, righteously, and blamelessly we behaved ourselves toward you who believe.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲘⲒ ϪⲈ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲒⲰⲦ ⲈϤϮϨⲞ ⲈⲚⲈϤϢⲎⲢⲒ.
As you know, as a father with his own children,
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲚϮϨⲞ ⲈⲠⲒⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲘⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲚⲐⲰⲦ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲚⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ϪⲈ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲘⲞϢⲒ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚ ⲘⲠϢⲀ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲐⲀϨⲈⲘ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲦⲈϤⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲈϤⲰⲞⲨ.
we exhorted, comforted, and implored every one of you to lead a life worthy of God, who calls you into his own Kingdom and glory.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ ⲀⲚⲞⲚ ϨⲰⲚ ⲦⲈⲚϢⲈⲠϨⲘⲞⲦ ⲚⲦⲈⲚ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲬⲰ ⲚⲦⲞⲦⲈⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ⲈⲦⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϬⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦⲈⲚ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲞⲠϤ ⲈⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲞⲨⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲠⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲀⲖⲎⲐⲰⲤ ⲞⲨⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲪⲎ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲦⲈⲢϨⲰⲂ ϦⲈⲚⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ϦⲀ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀϨϮ.
For this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that, when you received from us the word of the message of God, you accepted it not as a human word, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which also works in you who believe.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲚⲐⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲈⲚⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲞⲚⲒ ⲚⲚⲒⲈⲔⲔⲖⲎⲤⲒⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦϦⲈⲚ ϮⲒⲞⲨⲆⲈⲀ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲰⲠ ϨⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲚⲀⲒⲘⲔⲀⲨϨ ⲚⲞⲨⲰⲦ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲚⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲪⲎⲢ ⲘⲪⲨⲖⲎ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ϨⲰⲚ ⲈⲦⲀⲚϬⲒ ⲚⲦⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ.
For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus; for you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, even as they did from the Judeans;
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨϦⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲘⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲠⲢⲞⲪⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲚⲞⲚ ϨⲰⲚ ⲀⲨϬⲞϪⲒ ⲚⲤⲰⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲤⲈⲢⲀⲚⲀϤ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲨⲞⲒ ⲚⲢⲈϤϮ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϨⲢⲈⲚ ⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ.
who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out, and did not please God, and are hostile to all people;
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲈⲨⲦⲀϨⲚⲞ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲈⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲈⲐⲚⲞⲤ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲤⲈⲚⲞϨⲈⲘ ⲈⲠϪⲒⲚⲤⲈϪⲈⲔ ⲚⲞⲨⲚⲞⲂⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲀϤⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒϪⲰⲚⲦ ϢⲀ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ.
forbidding us to speak to those who are not Jewish that they may be saved; to fill up their sins always. But wrath has come on them to the uttermost.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲀⲚⲞⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲈⲚⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲀⲨϢⲞⲚϨⲈⲚ ⲘⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲠⲢⲞⲤⲞⲨⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲠϨⲞ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϦⲈⲚⲠϨⲎⲦ ⲀⲚ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦϨⲞⲨⲞ ⲀⲚⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲈⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚϨⲞ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲚⲈⲠⲒⲐⲨⲘⲒⲀ
But we, brothers, being bereaved of you for a short season, in presence, not in heart, tried even harder to see your face with great desire,
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲈⲒ ϨⲀⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲘⲈⲚ ⲠⲀⲨⲖⲞⲤ ⲚⲞⲨⲤⲞⲠ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲂⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲦⲀϨⲚⲞ ⲘⲘⲞⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲤⲀⲦⲀⲚⲀⲤ.
because we wanted to come to you—indeed, I, Paul, once and again—but Satan hindered us.
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲚⲒⲘ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲠⲈ ⲦⲈⲚϨⲈⲖⲠⲒⲤ ⲒⲈ ⲠⲈⲚⲢⲀϢⲒ ⲒⲈ ⲠⲬⲖⲞⲘ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲈⲚϢⲞⲨϢⲞⲨ ⲘⲎ ⲚⲐⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲘⲠⲈⲘⲐⲞ ⲘⲠⲈⲚϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚϨⲢⲎⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲈϤⲠⲀⲢⲞⲨⲤⲒⲀ.
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you, before our Lord Jesus at his coming?
20 ⲕ̅ ⲚⲐⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲈⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲈⲚⲢⲀϢⲒ.
For you are our glory and our joy.
