< Yakobo 1 >
1 Une che Yakobo, jwakutumichila jwa Akunnungu ni jwa Ambuje Che Yesu Kilisito, ngunnembela mwanya ŵandu ŵa Akunnungu wose ŵampwilingene ku chilambo kose, ngunkomasya.
James, a servant, of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, —unto the twelve tribes that are in the dispersion, Wishes joy.
2 Achalongo achinjangu, nnyiwone ili yakusengwa pe, pankukola masauko gagali gose.
All Joy, account it, my brethren, whensoever ye fall in with, manifold, temptations, —
3 Nchimanyililaga kuti kulinjikwa kwa chikulupi chenu kukunnyichisya upililiu.
Taking note, that, the proving of your faith, worketh out endurance;
4 Nkole usyene wakuti kupililila kwenu kukupanganya masengo mu nkati mwenu mpaka kumbesi, kuti nkule ni kuŵa ŵamalilwe mpela yakuti pakusaka Akunnungu, pangapunguchilwa ni chindu chachili chose.
But let, your endurance, have, mature work, that ye may be mature and complete, in nothing, coming short.
5 Nambo mundu jwalijose mu mpingo wenu, lwansoŵaga lunda ŵapopelele Akunnungu ŵakwapa ŵandu wose mwamujinji ni kwa ntima wambone nombejo chachipegwa.
But, if any of you is sinning short of wisdom, let him be asking of God, Who giveth unto all freely and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him;
6 Nambo apopeleje ali akwete chikulupi pangali lipamba lyalili lyose. Pakuŵa mundu jwali ni lipamba ali mpela litumbela lya mu bahali lyalikujigalikwa ni mbungo ni kwauswa akuno ni akunokuno.
But let him be asking in faith, nothing, doubting, for, he that doubteth, is like a wave of the sea, wind-driven and storm-tossed, —
7 Mundu jwati yeleyo akaganisya kuti chapochele chachili chose kutyochela kwa Ambuje.
For let not that man think that he shall receive anything from the Lord—
8 Jwelejo ali mundu jwagalaukagalauka ni ngakukombola kulamula chindu chakupanganya.
A two-souled man, unstable in all his ways.
9 Nambo nlongo jwakulupilile jwaali jwakulaga akusachilwa asengwe, katema Akunnungu pakunkwesya.
But boasting be the lowly brother in his uplifting;
10 Nlongo jwakulupilile jwaali jwachipanje akusachilwa asengwe, katema Akunnungu paakuntulusya. Pakuŵa jwachipanje chasoŵe mpela uluŵa lwa mwikonde.
Whereas the rich, in his being brought low, —because, as a flower of grass, he will pass away;
11 Lyuŵa likukopochela ni kuŵala nnope ni kuumusya masamba, uluŵa wakwe ukugwa ni usalale wakwe ukusoŵa. Iyoyo peyo jwachipanje nombejo chawe mmasengo gakwe.
For the sun hath sprung up, with it scorching heat, and hath withered the grass, and, the flower thereof, hath fallen out, and, the beauty of the face thereof, hath perished, —so, also the rich, in his goings, shall languish.
12 Jwana upile mundu jwakupililila nkulinjikwa, pakuŵa amalaga kupunda kulinjikwa chapegwe chindu mpela singwa ja umi, Ambuje jiŵalanjile ŵakwanonyela.
Happy the man who endureth temptation! Because, becoming approved, he shall receive the crown of life—which he hath promised unto them that love him.
13 Mundu alinjikwaga akajila, “Ngulinjikwa ni Akunnungu.” Pakuŵa Akunnungu ngakunlinga mundu kwa kutenda yangalumbana, nombe Akunnungu ngakulinjikwa kwa kutendelwa yangalumbana.
Let, no one, while tempted, be saying—From God, am I tempted, —for, God, cannot be tempted by things evil, and, himself, tempteth no one;
14 Nambo mundu akulinjikwa pakukwekwelemwa ni kutanjikwa ni tama jakwe atende yangalumbana.
But, each one, is tempted, when, by his own coveting, he is drawn out and enticed,
15 Mwajilechelelaga tama jintawale jikwichisya sambi ni sambi syapundaga sikwichisya chiwa.
Then, the coveting, having conceived, giveth birth to sin, and, the sin, when full-grown, bringeth forth death.
16 Achalongo achinjangu ŵakunonyelwa nkalambuchikwa.
Be not deceived, my brethren beloved: —
17 Kila ntuuka wambone ni waumalilwe ukutyochela kwinani kwa Atati Akunnungu ŵaŵagumbile lulanga, jwangakugalaukagalauka, nombewo ngakulosya chimanyisyo chachili chose kuti chagalauche.
Every good giving, and every perfect gift, is, from above, coming down from the Father of lights—with whom is no alternation, nor shadow cast, by turning:
18 Kwa unonyelo wakwe nsyene ŵatuŵeleche kwa litala lya liloŵe lya usyene, kuti tuŵeje mpela milimbu mu yepanganyikwe yakwe yose.
Because he was so minded, he hath brought us forth with a word of truth, to the end we should be a sort of firstfruit of his creatures
19 Achalongo achinjangu ŵakunonyelwa, mmanyilile chindu chi, yakuti mundu jwalijose aŵe jwachitema kupilikana, nambo ngasaŵa jwachitema kuŵecheta namose kutumbila.
Ye know, my brethren beloved, —but let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger,
20 Pakuŵa ŵandu ŵaali ni lutumbilo ngakukombola kupanganya yambone paujo pa Akunnungu.
For, man’s anger, worketh not, God’s righteousness.
21 Kwayele, nneche masyoŵelo genu gangalumbana ni ipanganyo yenu yangalumbana. Mpochele kwa kulitulusya liloŵe lyalipandikwe mmitima jenu lyalikukombola kunkulupusya.
Wherefore, putting away all filthiness and overflow of baseness, in meekness, welcome ye the word fitted for inward growth, which is able to save your souls:
22 Nkalilambusya mwachinsyene, nambo mmeje ŵandu ŵakupanganyichisya masengo Liloŵe lya Akunnungu, ngaŵa ŵakupilikanila pe.
Become ye doers of the word, and not hearers only—reasoning yourselves astray;
23 Pakuŵa naga mundu ali jwakupilikanila pe Liloŵe lya Akunnungu nombe ngaŵa ŵakulipanganya lyalipikene, chalandane ni mundu jwakulilola ku meeso mu lindala.
Because, if any is, a word-hearer, and not a doer, the same, is like unto a man observing his natural face in a mirror, —
24 Ni paakumalisya kulilola yatite ni kutyoka, kwakamo akuliŵalila yatite pakuŵa.
For he observed himself, and is gone away, and, straightway, it hath escaped him, —what manner of man, he was!
25 Nambo mundu jwakugalolechesya uchenene malajisyo ga usyene gagakwalechelesya ŵandu, ni akwendelechela kugapanganyichisya masengo, pangapikanila pe ni kugaliŵalila, jwele mundu jo chapegwe upile mu indu yose yakuipanganya.
But, he that hath obtained a nearer view into the perfect law of liberty, and hath taken up his abode by it, becoming—not a forgetful hearer, but a work doer, the same, happy in his doing, shall be.
26 Mundu aganisyaga kuti akwajogopa ni kwapopelela Akunnungu, nambo ngakusiŵila lulimi lwakwe, kwapopelela kwao Akunnungu nganikukola mate ni akulilambusya nsyene.
If any thinketh he is observant of religion, not curbing his own tongue, but deceiving his own heart, this one’s, religious observance is, vain:
27 Litala lya kwapopelela Akunnungu lyalili lyambone lyangali chileŵo paujo pao lili ali: Kwakamuchisya ŵamalekwa ni ŵawililwe ni achiŵankwawo ni nkalisakasya kwa indu yangalumbana ya pachilambo.
Religious observance, pure and undefiled with our God and Father, is, this—to be visiting orphans and widows in their affliction, unspotted, to keep, himself, from the world.
