For this Melchisedec, King of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from smiting the kings, and blessed him;
2 Che Iblahimu nombe ŵampele liunjili lya kakumi lya indu iŵaijigele kungondo. Malumbo ga liina Melikisedeki gali “Mwenye jwakupanganya yambone paujo pa Akunnungu”, ni sooni mwenye jwa ku Salemu malumbo gakwe “Mwenye jwa chitendewele.”
to whom Abraham gave also the tenth portion of all; first being interpreted King of righteousness, and then also King of Salem, which is King of peace;
3 Ngapagwa papalembekwe Mmalembo ga Akunnungu liina lya atatigwe Melikisedeki atamuno liina lya achikulugwe, ngapagwa jwakwimanyilila ŵapagwile chakachi atamuno ŵawile chakachi. Nombewo akulandana ni Mwana jwa Akunnungu, jwelejo chapunde kuŵa Jwambopesi kwa moŵa gose pangali mbesi.
without father, without mother, without genealogy; having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but assimilated to the Son of God, abides a priest continually.
4 Nipele, nnoleje yatite kuŵa jwankulu mundu jo. Ambuje ŵetu che Iblahimu ŵampele liunjili lya kakumi lya indu iŵaijigele kungondo.
Now consider how great this [personage] was, to whom [even] the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth out of the spoils.
5 Tukumanyilila kuti malajisyo gakuti ŵanache ŵa che Lawi ŵaŵaliji ŵambopesi ni ŵakusachilwa kupochela liunjili lya kakumi kutyochela kwa ŵandu ŵa Isilaeli, ŵaali achalongo achinjao, nachiŵamuno ni ŵanyawo ali uŵelesi u che Iblahimu.
And they indeed from among the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have commandment to take tithes from the people according to the law, that is from their brethren, though these are come out of the loins of Abraham:
6 Melikisedeki nganaŵa mundu jwa lukosyo lu che Lawi nambo ŵajigele liunjili lya kakumi kutyochela ku che Iblahimu ni sooni ŵampele upile che Iblahimu juŵapegwilwe chilanga ni Akunnungu.
but he who has no genealogy from them has tithed Abraham, and blessed him who had the promises.
7 Nambo pangapangwa makani gati jwankulungwa ni jwakumpa upile jwannandi.
But beyond all gainsaying, the inferior is blessed by the better.
8 Ŵambopesi ŵakwigala liunjili lya kumi ŵala ali ŵandu ŵachawe lyuŵa limo, nambo che Melikisedeki juŵapochele liunjili lya kakumi akuŵalanjilwa umboni kuti ali jwanjumi mpela yagakuti Malembelo ga Akunnungu
And here dying men receive tithes; but there [one] of whom the witness is that he lives;
9 Nipele, tukukombola kusala kuti che Iblahimu paŵatyosisye liunjili lya kakumi, namose che Lawi juŵaliji jwa uŵelesi u che Iblahimu pamo ni uŵelesi wao, ŵatyosisye liunjili lya kakumi.
and, so to speak, through Abraham, Levi also, who received tithes, has been made to pay tithes.
10 Pakuŵa ikuŵechetekwa kuti Melikisedeki paŵasimene ni che Iblahimu, che Lawi ŵaliji akanaŵe kupagwa, ŵaliji mmiasi ja ambujegwe che Iblahimu.
For he was yet in the loins of his father when Melchisedec met him.
11 Kopochela mu umbopesi wa Ŵalawi ŵandu ŵa ku Isilaeli ŵapegwilwe lilajisyo. Sambano iŵaga masengo ga umbopesi u che Lawi gamalile ngakukasachilwe kutyochela umbopesi wine waukuyiye umbopesi wa Melikisedeki ni ngaŵa umbopesi u che Haluni.
If indeed then perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, for the people had their law given to them in connexion with it, what need [was there] still that a different priest should arise according to the order of Melchisedec, and not be named after the order of Aaron?
12 Pakuŵa pakukutyochela kupisyangana kwa chimbopesi, ikuŵajila kugagalausya malajisyo.
For, the priesthood being changed, there takes place of necessity a change of law also.
13 Ni Ambuje ŵetu jwakuŵechetwa mu yeleyo ali jwa lukosyo lwine, nganapagwa namose jumo jwa lukosyo lwao juŵatumichile pa chilisa nti jwambopesi.
For he, of whom these things are said, belongs to a different tribe, of which no one has [ever] been attached to the service of the altar.
14 Pakuŵa ikumanyika kuti Ambuje ŵetu ŵatyochele mu lukosyo lwa Yuda ni yankati lukosyo lo che Musa nganaŵecheta chindu chachili chose yankati umbopesi.
For it is clear that our Lord has sprung out of Juda, as to which tribe Moses spake nothing as to priests.
15 Sooni achi chikumanyika mwakupunda, kuti jwambopesi jwine jwakulandana ni Melikisedeki akopochele.
And it is yet more abundantly evident, since a different priest arises according to the similitude of Melchisedec,
16 Jwele nganatendekwa aŵe jwambopesi kwa malajisyo ga ŵandu, nambo kwa machili ga umi wa moŵa gose pangali mbesi.
who has been constituted not according to law of fleshly commandment, but according to power of indissoluble life.
17 Pakuŵa Malembelo ga Akunnungu gaŵalanjile umboni wati, “Mmwejo ndi Jwambopesi mpela wautite pakuŵa umbopesi wa Melikisedeki.” (aiōn )
For it is borne witness, Thou art a priest for ever according to the order of Melchisedec. (aiōn )
18 Kwayele, alila lilajisyo lya kalakala lyaŵichikwe pambali, pakuŵa lyaliji lyakulepetala nombelyo lyaliji lyangali chindu,
For there is a setting aside of the commandment going before for its weakness and unprofitableness,
19 pakuŵa malajisyo ga Akunnungu gaŵapele che Musa ngagakukombola kupanganya chindu chiŵe chakumalilwa. Nambo sambano peuto pakwe, kuichisye chilolelo chambone nnope ni kwa litala lya chilolelo cho, tukukombola kwaŵandichila Akunnungu.
(for the law perfected nothing, ) and the introduction of a better hope by which we draw nigh to God.
20 Kupunda yeleyo, apano chipali chilumbilo cha Akunnungu. Nambo ŵandu ŵane wo ŵatendekwe kuŵa ŵambopesi pangali chilumbilo.
And by how much [it was] not without the swearing of an oath;
21 Nambo Che Yesu atendekwe Jwambopesi nkulumbila, katema Akunnungu paŵansalile, “Ambuje alumbile ni ngasagalausya ‘Mmwejo ni jwambopesi kwa moŵa gose pangali mbesi.’” (aiōn )
(for they are become priests without the swearing of an oath, but he with the swearing of an oath, by him who said, as to him, The Lord has sworn, and will not repent [of it], Thou [art] priest for ever [according to the order of Melchisedec]; ) (aiōn )
22 Kwa ligongo lya chilumbilo chi, Che Yesu atendekwe chimanyisyo chachikulosya kuti isyene tukwete lilangano lyalili lyambone mwakupunda.
by so much Jesus became surety of a better covenant.
23 Sooni ŵambopesi ŵane ŵajinji ŵa lilangano lya kalakala, chiwa chalekasisye kwendelechela kupanganya masengo.
And they have been many priests, on account of being hindered from continuing by death;
24 Nambo Che Yesu nganaŵa mpela ŵanyawo ni akutama moŵa gose pangali mbesi, ni umbopesi wakwe ngaukukombola kupegwa mundu jwine. (aiōn )
but he, because of his continuing for ever, has the priesthood unchangeable. (aiōn )
25 Ligongo li akupakombola kwakulupusya kusyene ŵelewo ŵakwaŵandichila Akunnungu kwa litala lyao pakuŵa akutama moŵa gose kuti ŵapopeleleje kwa Akunnungu.
Whence also he is able to save completely those who approach by him to God, always living to intercede for them.
26 Pakuŵa twasachilwe uweji tukole Jwambopesi Jwankulu jwanti nyi, yaani jwali jwanswela, jwangali chileŵo namose sambi ni jwalekangenywe ni ŵandu ŵa sambi, ni kunyakulikwa mwinani kupunda kwinani.
For such a high priest became us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and become higher than the heavens:
27 Jwelejo ngakulandana ni ŵambopesi achakulu ŵane ŵakusachilwa kutyosya mbopesi kila lyuŵa, kaje akutaga mbopesi kwa sambi syakwe nsyene, ni sooni kwa sambi sya ŵandu. Pakuŵa jwelejo ŵatesile kamo pe kwakatema kose paŵalityosisye nsyene kuwa.
who has not day by day need, as the high priests, first to offer up sacrifices for his own sins, then [for] those of the people; for this he did once for all [in] having offered up himself.
28 Malajisyo ga che Musa gakwasagula ŵandu ŵakulepetala kuŵa ŵambopesi achakulu, nambo lilangano lya Akunnungu liŵaŵisile kwa kulumbila ni sooni lilyaiche mu nyuma mwa malajisyo lyambisile Mwana, jwatendekwe jwamalilwe kwa moŵa gose pangali mbesi. (aiōn )
For the law constitutes men high priests, having infirmity; but the word of the swearing of the oath which [is] after the law, a Son perfected for ever. (aiōn )
