1 Ŵanyamwe ŵanache mwapilikanichisye achaŵelesi ŵenu ligongo nkunkulupilila Ambuje, pakuŵa chelecho chili chambone kuchipanganya.
Children, obey your parents, as children of the Lord; for that is but right.
2 Mpela igakuti pakusala Malembelo ga Akunnungu, “Mwachimbichisye atati ŵenu ni achikulu ŵenu.” Lyeleli lili lilajisyo lyaandanda lyalili ni chilanga,
‘Honor your father and mother’ – this is the first Commandment with a promise –
3 ni, “Pachinkole upile ni kutama yaka yejinji pa chilambo.”
‘so that you may prosper and have a long life on earth.’
4 Ni ŵanyamwe achatati kasimwatanda ŵanache ŵenu, nambo mwalele mpela yakuti pakusaka Ambuje kwakwalosya yakuti pakusachilwa kutama ni kwajiganya yele indu.
And fathers, do not irritate your children, but bring them up with Christian discipline and instruction.
5 Ŵanyamwe achikapolo mwapilikanichisye achambuje ŵenu ŵa pachilambo pano kwa kwachimbichisya ni kwapilikanichisya ni kwa ntima wambone mpela nkwatumichila Kilisito.
Slaves, obey your earthly masters, with anxious care, giving them ungrudging service, as if obeying the Christ;
6 Ntendeje yeleyo ngaŵa pe katema pakumbona ŵandu kuti mmoneche ŵambone, nambo mpanganye yaili unonyelo wa Akunnungu ni kwa ntima wose pakuŵa ŵanyamwe ndi achikapolo ŵa Kilisito.
not only when their eyes are on you, as if you had merely to please people, but as slaves of Christ, who are trying to carry out the will of God.
7 Mpanganye masengo genu kwakusangalala mpela nkwatumichila Ambuje ni ngaŵa mpela nkwatumichila ŵandu.
Give your service heartily and cheerfully, as working for the Master and not for people;
8 Mmanyilile kuti mundu jwalijose jwakutenda yambone, atamuno ali kapolo pane jwalechelelwe chapochele mbote jakwe kutyochela kwa Ambuje.
for you know that everyone will be rewarded by the Master for any honest work that he has done, whether he is a slave or free.
9 Ni ŵanyamwe achakulu ŵa pachilambo ntende iyoyo kwa achikapolo ŵenu, nneche kwajogoya. Mmanyilile kuti ŵanyamwe ni ŵelewo, nkwetenje Ambuje ŵamo pe kwinani, nombewo nganakola lusagu.
And masters, treat your slaves in the same spirit. Give up threatening them; for you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and that before him there is no distinction of rank.
10 Nipele kwakumalichisya, njime nkulimbila nkulumbikana ni Ambuje ni kwakukamuswa ni machili gao gamakulungwa.
For the future, find strength in your union with the Lord, and in the power which comes from his might.
11 Njigale yakumenyanila yose yampegwilwe ni Akunnungu kuti nkombole kugakanila malindi ga Shetani.
Put on the full armor of God, so that you may be able to stand your ground against the stratagems of the devil.
12 Ligongo ngondo jetu ngatukumenyana ni ŵandu, nambo tukumenyana ni masoka gagakutama mu chilambo cha mbumu yaani achakulu ni ŵakwete ulamusi ni ŵakwete machili, ŵakuchilongosya chilambo cha chipi cha chigongomalo. (aiōn g165)
For ours is no struggle against enemies of flesh and blood, but against all the various powers of evil that hold sway in the darkness around us, against the spirits of wickedness on high. (aiōn g165)
13 Kwa ligongo lyo njigale yakumenyanila yose yampegwilwe ni Akunnungu kuti pachijiiche ngondo nkombole kugapunda machili ga jwachigongomalo jula, pachimmale kumenyana chinkombole kwima nkulimbila.
Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the evil day comes, you may be able to withstand the attack, and, having fought to the end, still to stand your ground.
14 Nipele, njime nkulimbila, usyene uŵeje mpela nkanda mchiunu mwenu, ni kuwoneka kwenu wambone paujo pa Akunnungu kuŵeje mpela chiwalo cha chisyano chakulichenjela pa ntima,
Stand your ground, then, with truth for your belt, and with righteousness for your breastplate,
15 ni kukola lungwanu lwa kwalalichila ŵandu Ngani Jambone ja chitendewele luŵeje mpela inkuti pakuwala ilatu ya ngondo.
and with the readiness to serve the good news of peace as shoes for your feet.
16 Kupunda yeleyo yose, chikulupi chenu chichiŵe mpela ngao mmakono genu kuti nkombole kujisima mipamba jose ja mooto ja Jwachigongomalo.
At every onslaught take up faith for your shield; for with it you will be able to extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.
17 Mpochele ukulupusyo mpela chisoti cha chisyano, ni liloŵe lya Akunnungu mpela lipanga lyankupegwa ni Mbumu jwa Akunnungu.
And receive the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit – which is the message of God – always with prayer and supplication.
18 Mpopelele katema kose, nchiŵendaga ukamuchisyo wa Akunnungu. Mpopelele katema kose mpela inkuti pakulongoswa ni Mbumu jwa Akunnungu. Nchesyanje pangapela nkwapopelela ŵandu wose ŵa Akunnungu.
Pray in spirit at all times. Be intent on this, with unwearying perseverance and supplication for all Christ’s people –
19 Iyoyo mumbopelele, kuti Akunnungu ambe maloŵe gakuŵecheta ni ngombole kwamanyisya ŵandu yantemela ya Ngani Jambone pangali lipamba.
and on my behalf also, so that when I begin to speak, words may be given me, so that I may fearlessly make known the inmost truth of the good news,
20 Une ndili jwantenga kwa ligongo lya Ngani Jambone namuno sambano ndili mu chitaŵiko. Mumbopelele, kuti ngombole kujilalichila Ngani Jambone pangali lipamba mpela inguti pakusachilwa.
on behalf of which I am an ambassador – in chains! Pray that, in telling it, I may speak fearlessly as I ought.
21 Che Tukiko, njetu jwakunonyelwa ni jwakutumichila jwakukulupilichika nkulumbikana ni Ambuje chansalile ngani syangu syose ni inguti pakwendelechela ni mmanyilile inguti pakupanganya masengo.
To enable you, as well as others, to know all that concerns me and what I am doing, Tychicus, our dear friend and faithful helper in the Master’s cause, will tell you everything.
22 Nguntuma kukwenu kwa ligongo lya chindu chi, ansalile ngani sya nkati uweji ni kuntulasya mitima jenu.
I am sending him to you on purpose that you may learn all about us, and that he may cheer your hearts.
23 Achalongo achinjangu, ngummendela chitendewele ni unonyelo ni chikulupi kutyochela kwa Akunnungu Atati ni kwa Ambuje Che Yesu Kilisito.
May God, the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ give every follower peace, and love linked with faith.
24 Ngwaŵendela umbone kwa Akunnungu aŵala wose ŵakwanonyela Ambuje ŵetu Che Yesu Kilisito kwa unonyelo wangali mbesi.
May God’s blessing be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.
