1 Ni jwapali mundu ku Kaisalia liina lyakwe che Konolio, chilongola jwa mpingo wa ŵangondo mia moja waukuŵilanjikwa “Mpingo wa Italia.”
And there was a certain man in Caesarea, whose name was Cornelius, a centurion of the regiment called the Italian.
2 Jweleju pamo ni ŵaali mu nyuumba jao wose ŵajogopaga Akunnungu, nombejo ŵakamwisye ŵakulaga ni kupopela moŵa gose.
And he was righteous, and feared God, he and all his house; and he did much alms among the people, and prayed to God at all times.
3 Mpela saa tisa ja muusi ŵammweni pangasisika katumetume jwa kwinani jwa Akunnungu mu yakwiwona achaichililaga ni kwasalila, “Che Konolio!”
This man distinctly saw, in a vision, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God, who came in to him and said to him: Cornelius!
4 Che Konolio ŵankolondolele katumetume jo ali ni lipamba, ni kummusya, “Kwana chichi Ambuje?” Katumetume jo ŵanjanjile che Konolio, “Akunnungu apochele mapopelo ni sadaka syenu kwa ŵakulaga, ni sooni ngasanliŵalila kose.
And he looked upon him, and was afraid; and he said: What, my Lord? And the angel said to him: Thy prayers and thy alms have come up in remembrance before God.
5 Sambano, mwalajisye ŵandu ku Yopa akammilanje mundu liina lyakwe che Simoni, pane akummilanga che Petulo.
And now, send men to the city of Joppa, and bring Simon who is called Cephas.
6 Jwelejo akutama ku che Simoni jwakukolosya mapende, nyuumba jakwe jili mungulugulu mbwani.”
Lo, he lodgeth in the house of Simon the tanner, which is by the side of the sea.
7 Ajula katumetume jwa kwinani jwaŵechete maloŵe go paŵatyosile, che Konolio ŵaaŵilasile ŵakutumichila ŵakwe ŵaŵili pamo ni jumo jwa ŵangondo ŵakwe juŵantumichilaga, juŵaliji jwakwajogopa Akunnungu,
And when the angel that talked with him was gone, he called two of his household, and a soldier who feared God and was obedient to him.
8 Ŵaasalile yose iyakopochele, ni kwalajisya ku Yopa.
And he related to them all that he had seen, and sent them to Joppa.
9 Malaŵi jakwe lyuŵa lili pa ntwe, ŵandu ŵatatu wo ali chiŵela mu ulendo, achiŵandichilaga ku Yopa che Petulo ŵakwesile penani pa nyuumba kukupopela.
And the next day, as they travelled the road and approached the city, Simon ascended the roof to pray, at the sixth hour.

And he became hungry, and desired to eat. And while they were providing for him, he fell into a trance.
11 Ni ŵakuweni kwinani kweugule ni chindu chisau shuka jejikulungwa jili jeŵambe mmalombo gakwe gancheche chili nkutuluswa.
And he saw the heavens opened, and a certain vessel fastened at the four corners, and it was like a great sheet; and it descended from heaven to the a earth.
12 Mwelemo mwaliji mwana inyama inayose yana makongolo gancheche ni inyama yaikukwaŵa ni ijuni ya kwiunde.
And there were in it all fourfooted animals, and creeping things of the earth, and fowls of heaven.
13 Nipele, ŵalipilikene liloŵe lichasalilaga, “Che Petulo njimuche, nsikite nlye.”
And a voice came to him, which said: Simon, arise, slay and eat.
14 Nambo che Petulo ŵajanjile, “Ngwamba, Ambuje, uneji nganilye chindu chachili chose chekanye kuligwa atamuno chakusakala.”
And Simon said: Far be it, my Lord: for never have I eaten any thing unclean and polluted.
15 Liloŵe lila lyapikaniche sooni lichasalilaga, “Indu yaiswejesye Akunnungu nkaiŵilanga yakusakala!”
And again the second time, there was a voice to him: What God hath cleansed, make thou not unclean.
16 Chelechi chakwasalila che Petulo nsikite nlye ŵasalilwe katatu, ni papopo shuka jila janyakulikwe kwinani.
And this was done three times; and the vessel was taken up to heaven.
17 Che Petulo paŵaliji nkusimonga nkati malumbo ga yakwiwona yaiweni yo, ŵandu ŵaŵalajiswe ni che Konolio ŵala, ali amasile kuuchilichisya, ŵaiche pa nyuumba ji che Simoni jwakukolosya mapende, ni kwima pannango,
And while Simon was wondering with himself, what the vision he had seen could denote, the men who were sent by Cornelius arrived; and they inquired for the house in which Simon lodged, and came and stood at the gate of the court.
18 ni ŵapoposile ni kuusya, “Ana mwelemu kwana jwannendo jwakuŵilanjikwa che Simoni jwakuŵilanjikwa che Petulo?”
And there they called out, and asked if Simon who is called Cephas lodged there?
19 Ni che Petulo paŵaliji nkuganisya yankati yakwiwona ila. Papopo Mbumu jwa Akunnungu ŵasalile, “Che Simoni, Kwana ŵandu ŵatatu pelepa akunsosa.
And while Simon was reflecting on the vision, the Spirit said to him: Lo, three men are inquiring for thee.
20 Ntuluche chitema pe ni sooni nkaliusyausya kulongana pamo nawo pakuŵa une ni junaatumile.”
Arise, go down, and accompany them; and let not thy mind hesitate, for I have sent them.
21 Nipele, che Petulo ŵatulwiche ni kwasalila ŵandu wo, “Uneji ndili jwelejo junkunsosa. Ana nkusosa chichi pelepa?”
Then Simon went down to the men, and said to them: I am he for whom ye inquire: what is the cause for which ye have come?
22 Ŵanyawo ŵanjanjile, “Atutumile che Konolio jwankulu jwa ŵangondo, mundu jwakuŵalanjikwa umboni wambone, jwakwajogopa Akunnungu ni kuchimbichikwa ni Ŵayahudi wose. Ŵasalilwe ni katumetume jwa kwinani kuti ambilanje alakwe kumangwakwe kuti apilikanile chinkusaka kuŵecheta.”
They say to him: A certain man whose name is Cornelius, a centurion fearing God, and of whom all the people of the Jews bear good report, was told in vision, by a holy angel, to send and bring thee to his house, that he might hear discourse from thee.
23 Che Petulo ŵaaŵilasile ajinjilanje nkati, ŵapele pagona. Malaŵi jakwe, che Petulo ŵatandite ulendo pamo ni ŵanyawo, ni ŵandu ŵane ŵakwakulupilila Che Yesu ŵa ku Yopa ŵalongene nawo.
And Simon led them in, and entertained them where he lodged. And the following day, he arose, departed, and went with them: and some of the brethren of Joppa also went with them.

And the next day, they entered Caesarea. And Cornelius was expecting them: and all the kindred of his family, and also such intimate friends as he had, were assembled with him.

And as Simon came up, Cornelius met him, and fell down worshipping at his feet.

And Simon raised him up, and said to him: Arise; I also am a man.

And as he talked with him, he went in, and found that many had come there.
28 Che Petulo ŵaasalile, “Ŵanyamwe mwachinsyene nkumanyilila kuti malajisyo ga dini jetu ja Chiyahudi gakutukanya kukamulangana atamuno kwajimajimila ŵandu ŵangaŵa Ŵayahudi. Nambo Akunnungu aamanyisye uneji kuti ninanganichisye mundu jwalijose kuti ali jwangaswejeswa atamuno jwakusakala.
And he said to them: Ye know, that it is not lawful for a Jewish man, to associate with an alien who is not of his race: but God hath showed me, that I should not say of any one, that he is defiled or unclean.
29 Kwa ligongo lyo pamumilasile nganiingana kwika. Nipele, ngummusya kwaligongo chi mumilasile?”
Therefore I came readily, when ye sent for me. But, I ask you, for what cause did ye send for me?
30 Che Konolio ŵajanjile, “Gapite moŵa gatatu mpela saa jijiji ja saa tisa, naliji nkupopela mu nyuumba jangu. Chisisimuchile nammweni mundu jwawasile iwalo yeswela mbee ajimi paujo pangu,
And Cornelius said to him: It is four days ago, that, lo, I was fasting; and at the ninth hour, while I was praying in my house, a certain man stood before me, clothed in white,
31 ni ŵatite, ‘Che Konolio! Akunnungu akupilikene kupopela kwenu ni akusikumbuchila sadaka simwapele ŵakulaga.
and said to me: Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and there remembrance of thy alms before God.
32 Nipele muntume mundu ku Yopa akammilanje mundu liina lyakwe che Simoni, pane akummilanga che Petulo, jweleju akutama ku che Simoni jwakukolosya mapende, nyuumba jakwe jili mungulugulu mbwani.’
But send to the city of Joppa, and bring Simon who is called Cephas: lo, he lodgeth in the house of Simon the tanner, which is by the side of the sea. And he will come and converse with thee.
33 Nipele, chitema pe naatumile ŵandu kukwenu, nomwe ntesile yambone pa kwika. Sambano uweji wose tuli paujo pa Akunnungu, kupilikanila chachili chose chantumile Ambuje kusala.”
And immediately I sent to thee; and thou hast done well to come: and lo, we are all of us before thee, and desirous to hear whatever is commanded thee from God.
34 Pelepo che Petulo ŵatandite kuŵecheta achitiji, “Sambano ngumanyilila kuti isyene Akunnungu nganakola lusagu.
And Simon opened his mouth, and said: Truly I discover that God is no respecter of persons.
35 Nambo mundu jwa chilambo chachili chose, jwakwajogopa Akunnungu ni kupanganya yaili yambone paujo pao, akukundikwa nawo.
but, among all the nations, he who feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is acceptable with him.
36 Ŵanyamwe nkuumanyilila utenga uŵaupeleche Akunnungu kwa ŵandu ŵa ku Isilaeli, achijenesyaga Ngani Jambone jajikwikanawo chitendewele kwa litala li Che Yesu Kilisito, ŵaali Ambuje ŵa wose.
For this is the word, which he sent to the sons of Israel, announcing to them peace and rest by Jesus Messiah, He is Lord of all;
37 Ŵanyamwe nkulimanyilila alila lilyatyochele mchilambo chose cha Ŵayahudi, chitandile ku Galilaya, che Yohana paŵamasile kulalichila utenga wa ubatiso.
and ye also know the word, which was in all Judaea, which commenced from Galilee, after the baptism that John preached,
38 Nkumanyilila iŵatite Akunnungu pakunsagula Che Yesu jwa ku Nasaleti kwa kwatuluchisya Mbumu jwa Akunnungu ni machili. Pakuŵa Akunnungu ŵaliji pamo nawo, nipele ŵaliji nkwendajenda akuno ni akunokuno achitendaga yambone ni kwalamya wose ŵaŵakamwilwe ni Ibilisi.
concerning Jesus, who was of Nazareth, whom God anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power. And he it was, who went about and healed those that were suffering from evil, because God was with him.
39 Noweji tuli ŵaumboni wa yose iŵatesile mmusi wa Ŵayahudi ni mu Yelusalemu. Ŵambuleje kwa kwaŵamba pansalaba,
And we are his witnesses, as to whatever he did in all the region of Judaea and in Jerusalem. This same person the Jews hanged on a tree, and slew him.
40 nambo Akunnungu ŵansyusisye pa lyuŵa lyaatatu ni kwatenda awoneche pangasisika.
And him did God raise up, on the third day; and caused him to be seen with naked eyes;
41 Nganawoneka kwa ŵandu wose, nambo kwa aŵala ŵaumboni ŵaŵasagwile Akunnungu, yaani uweji utwalile ni kung'wa pamo nawo, paŵamasile kusyuka.
not indeed by all the people, but by us, who were chosen of God to be his witnesses, and who ate and drank with him after his resurrection from the dead.
42 Ni ŵatulajisye tulalichile Ngani Jambone kwa ŵandu wose ni kuŵalanga umboni kuti Che Yesu ni ŵaŵasagulikwe ni Akunnungu kuti ŵaalamule ŵajumi ni ŵawe.
And he commanded us to proclaim and testify to the people, that he is appointed of God to be judge of the living and of the dead.
43 Ŵakulondola ŵa Akunnungu wose ŵasasile umboni nkati ŵelewo kuti mu liina lyao, jwalijose jwakwakulupilila chalecheleswe sambi syakwe syose.”
And of him all the prophets testify, that whoever believeth in his name, will receive remission of sins.
44 Che Petulo paŵaŵechetaga maloŵe go, Mbumu jwa Akunnungu ŵatuluchile ŵanawose ŵaŵaupilikanilaga utenga wao.
And while Simon was uttering these things, the Holy Spirit overshadowed all them that were hearing the word.
45 Ni Ŵayahudi ŵaŵakulupilile ŵaŵapechesye che Petulo kutyochela ku Yopa ŵala ŵasimosile kuwona kuti Akunnungu ŵatuluchisye ukombole wa Mbumu jwa Akunnungu ŵandu ŵangaŵa Ŵayahudi.
And the circumcised brethren who came with him, were amazed and astonished, that the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the Gentiles also.
46 Pakuŵa ŵaapilikene achiŵechetaga iŵecheto yakusimosya paŵakusyaga Akunnungu. Pelepo che Petulo ŵatite,
For they heard them speak with diverse tongues, and magnify God.
47 “Ŵandu ŵa apochele Mbumu jwa Akunnungu mpela uweji itutite pakupochela. Ana kwana mundu jwalijose juchakombole kwakanya kuti anabatiswe ni meesi?”
And Simon said: Can any one forbid water, that those should not be baptized, they who have received, lo, the Holy Spirit, as well as we?
48 Nipele, ŵalamwile kuti abatiswe kwa liina li Che Yesu Kilisito. Nipele ŵandu ŵala ŵaachondelele che Petulo kuti atame nawo moŵa gampepe.
Then he commanded them to be baptized in the name of our Lord Jesus Messiah. And they requested him to remain with them some days.
