1 Mbesi, achalongo achinjetu, ntupopeleleje kuti utenga wa Ambuje ujenele kwa chitema ni kupochelwa kwa kuchimbichikwa mpela ilitite kuŵa kukwenu.
For the rest, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified, even as also with you;
2 Iyoyo mpopelele kwa Akunnungu kuti atukulupusye ni ŵandu ŵachigongomalo ni ŵangalumbana, pakuŵa nganaŵa wose ŵakukunda kujikulupilila Ngani Jambone.
and that we may be delivered from bad and evil men, for faith [is] not [the portion] of all.
3 Nambo Ambuje ali ŵakukulupichika, nombe chanlimbisye ni kungosa ni Jwachigongomalo jula yaani Shetani.
But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you and keep [you] from evil.
4 Tukumanyilila isyene mwa Ambuje yakuti nkuitenda ni chinjendelechele kuitenda aila itukunlajisya.
But we trust in the Lord as to you, that the things which we enjoin, ye both do and will do.
5 Ambuje anlongosye mu kuumanyilila kwannope unonyelo wa Akunnungu ni upililiu umpegwile ni Kilisito.
But the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of the Christ.
6 Kwa liina lya Ambuje ŵetu Che Yesu Kilisito tukunnajisya achalongo achinjetu, nlisepusye ni achalongo achinjetu wose ŵaali ŵa ulesi ni ŵangakugakuya majiganyo gatwanjiganyisye.
Now we enjoin you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw from every brother walking disorderly and not according to the instruction which he received from us.
7 Ŵanyamwe mwachinsyene nkumanyilila inkuti pakusachilwa kutusyasya. Pakuŵa patwaliji pasikati jenu, uwe nganituŵa ŵa ulesi.
For ye know yourselves how ye ought to imitate us, because we have not walked disorderly among you;
8 Uweji nganitulya chakulya cha mundu jwalijose panganlipa. Nambo twapanganyisye masengo kwa kuchalila ni nkulaga muusi ni chilo, kuti tukampa mundu jwalijose masengo ga kutulela.
nor have we eaten bread from any one without cost; but in toil and hardship working night and day not to be chargeable to any one of you:
9 Tukakombwele kutumia ulamusi wetu kuti ntukamuchisye, nambo nganitutenda yeleyo ligongo twasachile tunnosye inkuti pakusachilwa kutenda.
not that we have not the right, but that we might give ourselves as an example to you, in order to your imitating us.
10 Pakuŵa, namose patwaliji nomwe twannajisye yeleyi, “Mundu jwalijose jwangasaka kupanganya masengo, akasalya iyoyo peyo.”
For also when we were with you we enjoined you this, that if any man does not like to work, neither let him eat.
11 Tukuŵecheta yeleyi ligongo tupilikene kuti ŵampepe pasikati jenu ali ŵa ulesi, ŵangakupanganya masengo kose, nambo akwamba kulijinjisya mu indu ya ŵandu ŵane.
For we hear that [there are] some walking among you disorderly, not working at all, but busybodies.
12 Kwa liina lya Ambuje Che Yesu Kilisito tukwalajisya ni kwajamuka ŵele ŵandu kuti atulale ni kupanganya masengo kwa ligongo lya kulikolela chakulya chao achinsyene.
Now such we enjoin and exhort in [the] Lord Jesus Christ, that working quietly they eat their own bread.
13 Nambo ŵanyamwe, achalongo achinjangu, kasimpela kutendekanya yambone.
But ye, brethren, do not faint in well-doing.
14 Naga apali mundu jwangasaka kugakamulichisya malajisyo gatukunlembela nchikalata chi, munlolechesye kwannope mundu jo, nkasyoŵekana najo melepe akole soni.
But if any one obey not our word by the letter, mark that man, and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed of himself;
15 Ngasimummalanjila jwelejo nti jwammagongo, nambo munjamuche chisau nlongo njenu.
and do not esteem him as an enemy, but admonish [him] as a brother.
16 Ambuje ŵachitendewele asyene ampe chitendewele moŵa gose ni mulimose. Ambuje atame ni ŵanyamwe wose.
But the Lord of peace himself give you peace continually in every way. The Lord [be] with you all.
17 Chelechi ni chikomasyo chingulemba ni makono gangu une che Paolo nansyene. Chelechi ni chimanyisyo changu cha ikalata yangu yose, yeleyi ni inguti pakulemba.
The salutation by the hand of me, Paul, which is [the] mark in every letter; so I write.
18 Ngummendela umbone wa Ambuje ŵetu Che Yesu Kilisito utame ni ŵanyamwe wose.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all.
