1 Nkankalipila jwannume jwanchekulu, nambo mmechete nawo nti atati ŵenu. Mwapanganyichisye achachanda nti achapwenu,
Rebuke not an elder, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers:
2 mwapanganyichisye achakongwe achachekulu nti achikulu ŵenu ni achiŵali nti achalumbu ŵenu, pangaganichisya yangalumbana.
the elderly women as mothers; the younger women as sisters, in all purity.
3 Mwakamuchisye achakongwe ŵawililwe ni achiŵankwawo, ŵanganakola mundu jwakwakamuchisya.
Honor widows who are truly widows.
4 Nambo iŵaga jwawililwe akwete ŵanache pane isukulu, ŵanyawo akusachilwa alijiganye kupanganya indu yaikusachilwa kupanganyikwa ni ŵandu ŵakwapopelela Akunnungu kwa ŵandu ŵaali mu nyuumba jao. Ni kwa kutenda yeleyo akwauchisya kwalela achaŵelesi ni achachekulu ŵao mpela yatite kulelekwa ŵanyawo paŵaliji achanandi. Pakuŵa achichi chili chakunonyelesya paujo pa Akunnungu.
But if any widow has children, or grandchildren, let them first learn to show piety to their own house, and to give benefactions to their ancestors: for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
5 Jwele jwankongwe jwawililwe kusyene jwanganakola mundu jwakunnela, achiŵisile chilolelo chakwe kwa Akunnungu ni kutama nkwapopelela Akunnungu muusi ni chilo kuti akole ukamuchisyo.
She who is truly a widow, and left alone, hopes in God, and abides in prayers and supplication night and day;
6 Nambo jwankongwe jwawililwe jwakutama kwa kusaka kulinonyelesya nnope jwelejo jwammwe, namuno ali jwansima chiŵela.
but she who is wanton is dead though living.
7 Mwape ŵandu malajisyo ga, kuti ŵandu ŵane akasaona ŵana ileŵo.
Indeed command these things, in order that they may be blameless.
8 Nambo iŵaga mundu ngakwakamuchisya achapwakwe nnopennope aŵala ŵandu ŵaali mu nyuumba jakwe asyene, jwelejo achikanile chikulupi chakwe nombe ali jwangalumbana nnope kumpunda mundu jwangakukulupilila.
But if any one provides not for his own, and especially those of his own house, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
9 Kasimwalemba mu chitabu cha meena ga achakongwe ŵawililwe, jwawililwe jwalijose jwanganamalila yaka sitini. Sooni aŵeje jwalombekwe kamo pe.
Let a widow not be taken into account under three score years, the wife of one husband,
10 Sooni aŵe jwana umboni wa ipanganyo yambone, jwalelite achiŵanagwe uchenene, jwaŵapochele achalendo mu nyuumba jakwe, ŵakundile sajo sya ŵandu ŵa Akunnungu, ŵakamuchisye ŵakulaga ni ŵakupanganya indu yambone yailiyose.
being witness in beautiful works; if she has brought up children, if she has entertained strangers, if she has washed the feet of saints, if she has succored those in tribulation, if she has followed in every good work.
11 Nambo mu chitabu cho nkagalemba meena ga ŵawililwe ali achiŵali, pakuŵa ŵajinjilwaga tama ja kusaka kulombekwa sooni, chaleche kwatumichila Kilisito.
But reject the younger widows: for when they may wax wanton against Christ, they wish to marry;
12 Kwayele chaaŵe ni chileŵo kwa kuleka chikulupi cha kwatumichila Akunnungu chiŵachiŵisile kundanda.
having condemnation, because they have rejected their first faith:
13 Nkupunda yeleyo, akuŵa ŵa ulesi, achendajendaga mu nyuumba jimo mpaka jine, ni akuŵa ŵandu ŵakwasongona ŵandu ŵane ni kulijinjisya mu indu ya ŵandu ŵane ni kusala indu yangaŵajilwa kuisala.
and at the same time they learn to be idle, going about houses; and not only idle, but also loquacious even busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
14 Kwa ligongo lyo ngusaka ŵele ŵawililwe ni achiŵankwawo ali achiŵali alombekwe, aŵeleche ŵanache ni kusigosa nyuumba syao kuti ŵammagongo ŵetu anakombole kukola lipesa lya kuŵecheta indu yangalumbana yaikutugamba uwe.
Therefore I wish the younger women to marry, to raise up children, to rule the house, to give no occasion to the adversary for the sake of reproach;
15 Pakuŵa ŵane ŵawililwe ni achiŵankwawo, amasile kulyungasika ni kunkuya Shetani.
for already certain ones have turned away after Satan.
16 Iŵaga jwankongwe jwalijose jwakunkulupilila Kilisito, akwete ŵawililwe ni achiŵankwawo mwa achalongo achinjakwe, jwelejo akusachilwa kwagosa ni ngaŵa kuulechela masengo go mpingo wa ŵandu ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito, kuti mpingo wo ukombole kwagosa ŵawililwe ni achiŵankwawo ŵanganakola ukamuchisyo wauli wose.
If any faithful woman has widows, let her support them, and let not the church be burdened; in order that she may give her attention to those who are truly widows.
17 Achachekulu ilongola ŵakuulongosya uchenene mpingo wa ŵandu ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito akuŵajilwa kuchimbichikwa ni kupegwa malipilo gambone, nnope nnope ŵakuchalila kulalichila Ngani Jambone ni kujiganya.
Let the elders who stand before the people beautifully, be considered worthy of double remuneration, especially those laboring in the word and teaching.
18 Pakuŵa Malembelo ga Akunnungu gakuti, “Nkantaŵa kang'wa ng'ombe pakupanganya masengo ga kuputukula magowolo,” ni “Jwa masengo akuŵajilwa malipilo gakwe.”
For the scripture says, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn: and, The laborer is worthy of his hire.
19 Ngasimpochela magambo gagakungamba jwanchekulu chilongola jwa mpingo wa ŵandu ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito ikaŵe kwa umboni wa ŵandu ŵaŵili pane ŵatatu.
Bring not an accusation against an elder, except before two or three witnesses.
20 Ŵele ŵakutenda ya sambi mwajamuche paujo pa ŵandu kuti ŵandu ŵane wo ajogope.
Convict those who sin before all, in order that the rest may also have fear.
21 Ngunlajisya mmbujo pa Akunnungu ni mmbujo pa Kilisito ni mmbujo mwa achikatumetume ŵa kwinani ŵaswela ŵasagulikwe, nkamulisye malajisyo ga pangaleka nachiŵamuno limo ni kutenda yaikusachilwa pangali lusagu.
I testify before God, and Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that you must guard these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.
22 Kasintenda chitema kunsajichila makono mundu pakusagulikwa kuŵa chilongola nkupanganya masengo ga Ambuje. Sooni nkalijinjisya mu sambi sya ŵandu ŵane, nambo nligose mwasyene, mpanganye yaikwanonyelesya Akunnungu.
Lay hands quickly on no one, and be not partaker of other men's sins.
23 Ngasinng'wa meesi pe, nambo mng'weje divai kanandi ligongo lya lutumbo lwenu pakuŵa nkulwalalwala.
Keep yourself pure. No longer drink water, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and on account of your frequent sickness.
24 Sambi sya ŵandu ŵane sikuwoneka pangasisika namose kakanaŵe katema ka kulamulikwa, nambo sambi sya ŵandu ŵane sikuwoneka kanyuma pakumala kulamulikwa.
The sins of some men are manifest beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they also follow after:
25 Iyoyopeyo ipanganyo yambone ikuwoneka pangasisika, namose aila yangaikuwoneka pangasisika ngaikomboleka kusisika.
likewise truly are good works manifested beforehand; and those which are otherwise are not able to be hidden.
