1 Une jwanchekulu chilongola jumo mwa ŵanyamwe achachekulu ilongola achinjangu ni jwa umboni junagaweni masauko ga Kilisito ni juchilumbikane nawo mu aula ukulu wauchiunukulikwe, ngunchondelela
The elders among you I exhort, who am a fellow-elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, who am also a sharer in the glory that is to be revealed;
2 nchinganje mpingo wa ŵandu ŵa Akunnungu umpegwile, ngaŵa kwa kunkanganichisya, nambo kwakusaka kwenu mwachinsyene mpela yakuti kusaka Akunnungu. Kasintumichila kwa misese jakukola mbiya, nambo kwa kulityosya kwa ntima wenu wose.
tend the flock of God which is among you, overseeing it, not by constraint, but willingly; not for base gain, but with ready mind;
3 Kasimwalongosya kwa machili aŵala ŵandu ŵampegwile kwagosa, nambo ŵanyamwe mwachinsyene mme chitagu chambone kwa ŵandu wo.
not as lording it over your allotted charge, but being examples to the flock;
4 Ni Jwakuchinga Jwankulu pachaiche sooni, ŵanyamwe chimpochele chindu mpela singwa ja ukulu jangajikusisina.
and when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye will receive the crown of glory that fadeth not away.
5 Iyoyopeyo ŵanyamwe achachanda nkusachilwa mwajitichisye achakulungwa. Ŵanyamwe wose nkusachilwa kulitulusya nkombole kutumichilana, pakuŵa Malembelo ga Akunnungu gakuti, “Akunnungu akwakanila ŵakulinamanila, nambo akwalosya umbone wao aŵala ŵakulitulusya.”
In like manner, ye younger men, submit yourselves to the elder; and all of you be clothed with humility toward each other; for “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.”
6 Nipele nliŵiche paasi pa nkono wa Akunnungu wauli ni machili, kuti antende mme jwankulu kwa katema kakwe.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time;

casting all your care upon him, because he careth for you.
8 Nlilolechesye ni nchesyanje! Pakuŵa jwammagongo jwenu Jwaulamba, akusyungulasyungula mpela lisimba lyalikutongola lichinsosaga mundu jwakummila.
Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the Devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour;
9 Ni ŵanyamwe munkanile jwelejo, mkulimbichila mchikulupi, nchimanyililaga kuti ŵakukulupilila achinjenu wose pachilambo pose akusimanwa ni masauko ganti iyoyo.
whom resist, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are being accomplished in your brethren in the world.
10 Nambo mwamalaga kulagaswa kwa katema kakajipi, Akunnungu ŵaali ŵambone mu wose ŵaŵammilasile njinjile mu ukulu wao wa moŵa gose pangali mbesi nkulumbikana ni Kilisito. Ŵelewo asyene chantende ŵamalilwe ni kuntaga machili ni kuntenda njime mwakulimbila mu nsingi wakulimba. (aiōnios g166)
But the God of all grace, who called you to his everlasting glory in Christ Jesus, will, after ye have suffered a while, himself make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you. (aiōnios g166)
To him be the dominion for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

13 Mpingo wa ŵandu ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito wauli ku chilambo cha Babeli, akunkomasya. Iyoyopeyo che Maliko jwali nti mwanangu jwa usyene nombejo akunkomasya.
The church in Babylon, chosen with you, saluteth you; and Mark, my son.
14 Nkomasyane kwa unonyelo wa Kilisito. Ngunsachila chitendewele ŵanyamwe ŵanli ŵandu ŵakwe Kilisito.
