1 Une che Paolo jumilanjikwe kuti meje nduna jwa Kilisito Che Yesu kwa kusaka kwakwe Akunnungu ni alongo ajetu che Sositene
Paul, [a] called apostle of Jesus Christ, by God's will, and Sosthenes the brother,
2 tukunnembela mwanya ŵanli ŵandu ŵa Akunnungu ŵa ku Kolinto, ŵanyamwe mmilanjikwe mme ŵandu ŵa Akunnungu mu kulumbikana ni Kilisito Che Yesu, pamo ni ŵandu wose ŵaali papalipose ŵakwapopelela Ambuje ŵetu Che Yesu Kilisito jwali chilongola jwao ni jwetu.
to the assembly of God which is in Corinth, to [those] sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all that in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both theirs and ours:
3 Tukunsachila umbone ni chitendewele kutyochela kwa Akunnungu Atati ŵetu ni Ambuje Che Yesu Kilisito.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Ngwatogolela Akunnungu kwa ligongo lyenu moŵa gose kwa ligongo lya umbone wa Akunnungu umpatile kwa litala li Che Yesu Kilisito.
I thank my God always about you, in respect of the grace of God given to you in Christ Jesus;
5 Pakuŵa mu kulumbikana ni Kilisito mmele ŵakusichila mu indu yose, mpatile umanyilisi wose ni ukombole wose wa kulalichila.
that in everything ye have been enriched in him, in all word [of doctrine], and all knowledge,
6 Pakuŵa umboni nkati Kilisito ulimbichikwe mwa ŵanyamwe,
(according as the testimony of the Christ has been confirmed in you, )
7 kwayele nganimma ŵakusoŵekwa ni ntuuka wauliwose kutyochela kwa Mbumu jwa Akunnungu, mpela inkuti kulolela kuunukulikwa kwa Ambuje ŵetu Che Yesu Kilisito.
so that ye come short in no gift, awaiting the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ;
8 Ŵelewo chanlimbisye mpaka kumbesi kuti mme ŵangali chileŵo pa lyuŵa lichauje Ambuje ŵetu Che Yesu Kilisito.
who shall also confirm you to [the] end, unimpeachable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 Akunnungu ali ŵakukulupilichika, ŵelewo ŵammilasile kuti ntame mu kukamulangana ni Che Yesu Kilisito mwanagwawo ŵaali Ambuje ŵetu.
God [is] faithful, by whom ye have been called into [the] fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
10 Achalongo achinjangu, ngunchondelela mlina lya Ambuje ŵetu Che Yesu Kilisito, njilane wose mu inkuŵecheta kuti kukapagwa kulekangana pasikati jenu, nnopennope nkole nganisyo simo ni nningwa umo.
Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all say the same thing, and that there be not among you divisions; but that ye be perfectly united in the same mind and in the same opinion.
11 Achalongo achinjangu, ŵandu ŵane ŵaali mu mpingo u che Kiloe asalile kuti ŵanyamwe nkulekangana kwa maloŵe.
For it has been shewn to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of [the house of] Chloe, that there are strifes among you.
12 Ngusaka sale chimbilikene kukwenu, mundu jwine akuti, “Une ngwakuya che Paolo,” ni jwine akuti, “Une ngwakuya che Apolo,” jwine akuti, “Une ngwakuya che Kefa,” ni jwine akuti, “Une ngwakuya Kilisito.”
But I speak of this, that each of you says, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ.
13 Ana nkuganisya kuti Kilisito agaŵaniche? Ana che Paolo ni juŵaŵambikwe pa nsalaba kwaligongo lyenu? Pane ana mwabatiswe kuti mme ŵakulijiganya ŵa che Paolo?
Is the Christ divided? has Paul been crucified for you? or have ye been baptised unto the name of Paul?
14 Ngwatogolela Akunnungu pakuŵa nganinambatisya jwalijose pasikati jenu ikaŵe che Kilispo ni che Gayo pe.
I thank God that I have baptised none of you, unless Crispus and Gaius,
15 Kwayele ngapagwa mundu jwakukombola kusala kuti abatiswe aŵe jwakulijiganya jwangu.
that no one may say that I have baptised unto my own name.
16 Ngukumbuchila, iyoyo nambatisye che Sitefano ni ŵaali mu nyuumba jao, nambo ngangukumbuchila kuti nambatisye mundu jwine.
Yes, I baptised also the house of Stephanas; for the rest I know not if I have baptised any other.
17 Pakuŵa Kilisito ngananajichisya kwabatisya ŵandu, nambo naalalichile ŵandu Ngani Jambone, ni ngaŵa kwa maloŵe gakwanonyelesya ŵandu, kuti chiwa cha Kilisito pa nsalaba chinaŵe cha bule.
For Christ has not sent me to baptise, but to preach glad tidings; not in wisdom of word, that the cross of the Christ may not be made vain.
18 Pakuŵa utenga nkati chiwa cha Kilisito pa nsalaba ukuwoneka uloŵelo kwa ŵakusochela, nambo kwetuwe ŵatukukulupuswa, tukugaona machili ga Akunnungu.
For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but to us that are saved it is God's power.
19 Malembelo ga Akunnungu gakusala, “Chinalujonanje lunda lwa ŵandu ŵaali ni lunda, ni umanyilisi wa ŵandu ŵaali ni umanyilisi chinaukane.”
For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and set aside the understanding of the understanding ones.
20 Alikwapi jwakwete lunda? Alikwapi jwakwiganya malajisyo? Alikwapi jwakumanyilila kutagula indu ya pachilambo? Akunnungu alutesile lunda lwa chilambo chino luŵe uloŵelo. (aiōn g165)
Where [is the] wise? where scribe? where disputer of this world? has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? (aiōn g165)
21 Nti yalutite lunda lwa Akunnungu, ŵandu ŵa pachilambo ngakukombola kwamanyilila Akunnungu kwa lunda lwao achinsyene. Nambo Akunnungu ŵasachile kwakulupusya ŵandu ŵakwakulupilila kwa litala lya utenga utukwalalichila, aula waukuoneka uli uloŵelo kwa aŵala ŵaali ni lunda lwa chiundu.
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom has not known God, God has been pleased by the foolishness of the preaching to save those that believe.
22 Ŵayahudi akusaka imanyisyo ni Ŵagiliki akusosa lunda.
Since Jews indeed ask for signs, and Greeks seek wisdom;
23 Nambo uweji tukunlalichila ngani ja Kilisito juŵaŵambikwe pa nsalaba. Ngani jajikuloleka chakukuŵasya kwa Ŵayahudi ni uloŵelo kwa ŵandu ŵangaŵa Ŵayahudi.
but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews an offence, and to nations foolishness;
24 Nambo kwa ŵele uŵaŵilanjikwe ni Akunnungu, Ŵayahudi pane ŵandu ŵangaŵa Ŵayahudi, Kilisito ali machili ga Akunnungu ni lunda lwa Akunnungu.
but to those that [are] called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ God's power and God's wisdom.
25 Pakuŵa chachikuloleka uli uloŵelo wa Akunnungu chikwete lunda kupunda lunda lwa ŵandu, nombe chachikuloleka uli ulepetelo wa Akunnungu chikwete machili kugapunda machili ga ŵandu.
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 Nipele achalongo achinjangu, nkumbuchile imwaliji paŵammilasile Akunnungu. Kwa chipimo cha ŵandu nganimma ŵajinji ŵaŵakwete lunda, iyoyo nganimma ŵajinji ŵamwaliji ni machili, nombe nganimma ŵajinji umwamanyiche nnope.
For consider your calling, brethren, that [there are] not many wise according to flesh, not many powerful, not many high-born.
27 Nambo Akunnungu ŵaisagwile indu yaikuwoneka ili yakuloŵela pachilambo kuti ŵataje soni ŵandu ŵaali ni lunda, sooni Akunnungu aisagwile yakulepetala ya pachilambo kuti ŵataje soni ŵandu ŵaali ni machili.
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world, that he may put to shame the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world, that he may put to shame the strong things;
28 Akunnungu aisagwile indu ya pachilambo yakunyeluswa ni kukanikwa ni yaikuwoneka yangalimate, kuti aijonanje aila yaikuwoneka ni ŵandu kuti yanamate mu nganisyo sya ŵandu.
and the ignoble things of the world, and the despised, has God chosen, [and] things that are not, that he may annul the things that are;
29 Akunnungu ŵatesile yeleyo kuti akapagwa mundu ŵakulilapa paujo pao.
so that no flesh should boast before God.
30 Akunnungu nsyene anlumbikenye mwanya ni Che Yesu Kilisito. Nombe Akunnungu antesile Kilisito aŵe lunda lwetu. Tukuŵalanjikwa ŵambone paujo pa Akunnungu, ni kuŵa ŵandu ŵatuŵichikwe pa jika kwa ligongo lya Akunnungu ni ŵawombweche.
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who has been made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness, and holiness, and redemption;
31 Mpela itite kulembekwa Mmalembelo Gamaswela, “Jwalijose jwakulilapa alilape kwa achila chatesile Ambuje.”
that according as it is written, He that boasts, let him boast in [the] Lord.
