詩篇 72
1 所羅門的詩。 上帝啊，求你將判斷的權柄賜給王， 將公義賜給王的兒子。
A Psalm of Solomon. Give the king Thy judgments, O God, and Thy righteousness unto the king's son;
2 他要按公義審判你的民， 按公平審判你的困苦人。
That he may judge Thy people with righteousness, and Thy poor with justice.
3 大山小山都要因公義使民得享平安。
Let the mountains bear peace to the people, and the hills, through righteousness.
4 他必為民中的困苦人伸冤， 拯救窮乏之輩， 壓碎那欺壓人的。
May he judge the poor of the people, and save the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor.
5 太陽還存，月亮還在， 人要敬畏你，直到萬代！
They shall fear Thee while the sun endureth, and so long as the moon, throughout all generations.
6 他必降臨，像雨降在已割的草地上， 如甘霖滋潤田地。
May he come down like rain upon the mown grass, as showers that water the earth.
7 在他的日子，義人要發旺， 大有平安，好像月亮長存。
In his days let the righteous flourish, and abundance of peace, till the moon be no more.
8 他要執掌權柄，從這海直到那海， 從大河直到地極。
May he have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the River unto the ends of the earth.
9 住在曠野的，必在他面前下拜； 他的仇敵必要舔土。
Let them that dwell in the wilderness bow before him; and his enemies lick the dust.
10 他施和海島的王要進貢； 示巴和西巴的王要獻禮物。
The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall render tribute; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
11 諸王都要叩拜他； 萬國都要事奉他。
Yea, all kings shall prostrate themselves before him; all nations shall serve him.
12 因為，窮乏人呼求的時候，他要搭救； 沒有人幫助的困苦人，他也要搭救。
For he will deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.
13 他要憐恤貧寒和窮乏的人， 拯救窮苦人的性命。
He will have pity on the poor and needy, and the souls of the needy he will save.
14 他要救贖他們脫離欺壓和強暴； 他們的血在他眼中看為寶貴。
He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence, and precious will their blood be in his sight;
15 他們要存活。 示巴的金子要奉給他； 人要常常為他禱告，終日稱頌他。
That they may live, and that he may give them of the gold of Sheba, that they may pray for him continually, yea, bless him all the day.
16 在地的山頂上，五穀必然茂盛； 所結的穀實要響動，如黎巴嫩的樹林； 城裏的人要發旺，如地上的草。
May he be as a rich cornfield in the land upon the top of the mountains; may his fruit rustle like Lebanon; and may they blossom out of the city like grass of the earth.
17 他的名要存到永遠， 要留傳如日之久。 人要因他蒙福； 萬國要稱他有福。
May his name endure for ever; may his name be continued as long as the sun; may men also bless themselves by him; may all nations call him happy.
18 獨行奇事的耶和華－以色列的上帝 是應當稱頌的！
Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things;
19 他榮耀的名也當稱頌，直到永遠。 願他的榮耀充滿全地！ 阿們！阿們！
And blessed be His glorious name for ever; and let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen, and Amen.
20 耶西的兒子－大衛的祈禱完畢。
