路加福音 12
1 這時，有幾萬人聚集，甚至彼此踐踏。耶穌開講，先對門徒說：「你們要防備法利賽人的酵，就是假冒為善。
Meanwhile, when a multitude of many thousands had gathered together, so much so that they trampled on each other, he began to tell his disciples first of all, “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 掩蓋的事沒有不露出來的；隱藏的事沒有不被人知道的。
But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.
3 因此，你們在暗中所說的，將要在明處被人聽見；在內室附耳所說的，將要在房上被人宣揚。」
Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. What you have spoken in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
4 「我的朋友，我對你們說，那殺身體以後不能再做甚麼的，不要怕他們。
“I tell you, my friends, don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
But I will warn you whom you should fear. Fear him who after he has killed, has power to cast into Gehinnom. Yes, I tell you, fear him. (Geenna g1067)
6 五個麻雀不是賣二分銀子嗎？但在上帝面前，一個也不忘記；
“Aren’t five sparrows sold for two assaria coins? Not one of them is forgotten by God.
7 就是你們的頭髮，也都被數過了。不要懼怕，你們比許多麻雀還貴重！」
But the very hairs of your head are all counted. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
8 「我又告訴你們，凡在人面前認我的，人子在上帝的使者面前也必認他；
“I tell you, everyone who confesses me before men, the Son of Man will also confess before the angels of God;
9 在人面前不認我的，人子在上帝的使者面前也必不認他。
but he who denies me in the presence of men will be denied in the presence of God’s angels.
10 凡說話干犯人子的，還可得赦免；惟獨褻瀆聖靈的，總不得赦免。
Everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but those who blaspheme against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
11 人帶你們到會堂，並官府和有權柄的人面前，不要思慮怎麼分訴，說甚麼話；
When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, don’t be anxious how or what you will answer or what you will say;
12 因為正在那時候，聖靈要指教你們當說的話。」
for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that same hour what you must say.”
13 眾人中有一個人對耶穌說：「夫子！請你吩咐我的兄長和我分開家業。」
One of the multitude said to him, “Rabbi, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”
14 耶穌說：「你這個人！誰立我作你們斷事的官，給你們分家業呢？」
But he said to him, “Man, who made me a judge or an arbitrator over you?”
15 於是對眾人說：「你們要謹慎自守，免去一切的貪心，因為人的生命不在乎家道豐富。」
He said to them, “Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.”
16 就用比喻對他們說：「有一個財主田產豐盛；
He spoke a parable to them, saying, “The ground of a certain rich man produced abundantly.
17 自己心裏思想說：『我的出產沒有地方收藏，怎麼辦呢？』
He reasoned within himself, saying, ‘What will I do, because I don’t have room to store my crops?’
18 又說：『我要這麼辦：要把我的倉房拆了，另蓋更大的，在那裏好收藏我一切的糧食和財物，
He said, ‘This is what I will do. I will pull down my barns, build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
19 然後要對我的靈魂說：靈魂哪，你有許多財物積存，可作多年的費用，只管安安逸逸地吃喝快樂吧！』
I will tell my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry.”’
20 上帝卻對他說：『無知的人哪，今夜必要你的靈魂；你所預備的要歸誰呢？』
“But God said to him, ‘You foolish one, tonight your soul is required of you. The things which you have prepared—whose will they be?’
21 凡為自己積財，在上帝面前卻不富足的，也是這樣。」
So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
22 耶穌又對門徒說：「所以我告訴你們，不要為生命憂慮吃甚麼，為身體憂慮穿甚麼；
He said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear.
23 因為生命勝於飲食，身體勝於衣裳。
Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
24 你想烏鴉，也不種也不收，又沒有倉又沒有庫，上帝尚且養活牠。你們比飛鳥是何等地貴重呢！
Consider the ravens: they don’t sow, they don’t reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds!
25 你們哪一個能用思慮使壽數多加一刻呢？
Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his height?
26 這最小的事，你們尚且不能做，為甚麼還憂慮其餘的事呢？
If then you aren’t able to do even the least things, why are you anxious about the rest?
27 你想百合花怎麼長起來；它也不勞苦，也不紡線。然而我告訴你們，就是所羅門極榮華的時候，他所穿戴的，還不如這花一朵呢！
Consider the lilies, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 你們這小信的人哪，野地裏的草今天還在，明天就丟在爐裏，上帝還給它這樣的妝飾，何況你們呢！
But if this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which today exists and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?
29 你們不要求吃甚麼，喝甚麼，也不要掛心；
“Don’t seek what you will eat or what you will drink; neither be anxious.
30 這都是外邦人所求的。你們必須用這些東西，你們的父是知道的。
For the nations of the world seek after all of these things, but your Father knows that you need these things.
31 你們只要求他的國，這些東西就必加給你們了。
But seek God’s Kingdom, and all these things will be added to you.
32 你們這小群，不要懼怕，因為你們的父樂意把國賜給你們。
“Don’t be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.
33 你們要變賣所有的賙濟人，為自己預備永不壞的錢囊，用不盡的財寶在天上，就是賊不能近、蟲不能蛀的地方。
Sell what you have and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which don’t grow old, a treasure in the heavens that doesn’t fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.
34 因為，你們的財寶在哪裏，你們的心也在那裏。」
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
35 「你們腰裏要束上帶，燈也要點着，
“Let your waist be dressed and your lamps burning.
36 自己好像僕人等候主人從婚姻的筵席上回來。他來到，叩門，就立刻給他開門。
Be like men watching for their lord when he returns from the wedding feast, that when he comes and knocks, they may immediately open to him.
37 主人來了，看見僕人警醒，那僕人就有福了。我實在告訴你們，主人必叫他們坐席，自己束上帶，進前伺候他們。
Blessed are those servants whom the lord will find watching when he comes. Most certainly I tell you that he will dress himself, make them recline, and will come and serve them.
38 或是二更天來，或是三更天來，看見僕人這樣，那僕人就有福了。
They will be blessed if he comes in the second or third watch and finds them so.
39 家主若知道賊甚麼時候來，就必警醒，不容賊挖透房屋，這是你們所知道的。
But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
40 你們也要預備；因為你們想不到的時候，人子就來了。」
Therefore be ready also, for the Son of Man is coming in an hour that you don’t expect him.”
41 彼得說：「主啊，這比喻是為我們說的呢？還是為眾人呢？」
Peter said to him, “Lord, are you telling this parable to us, or to everybody?”
42 主說：「誰是那忠心有見識的管家，主人派他管理家裏的人，按時分糧給他們呢？
The Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the right times?
43 主人來到，看見僕人這樣行，那僕人就有福了。
Blessed is that servant whom his lord will find doing so when he comes.
44 我實在告訴你們，主人要派他管理一切所有的。
Truly I tell you that he will set him over all that he has.
45 那僕人若心裏說：『我的主人必來得遲』，就動手打僕人和使女，並且吃喝醉酒；
But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My lord delays his coming,’ and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink and to be drunken,
46 在他想不到的日子，不知道的時辰，那僕人的主人要來，重重地處治他，定他和不忠心的人同罪。
then the lord of that servant will come in a day when he isn’t expecting him and in an hour that he doesn’t know, and will cut him in two, and place his portion with the unfaithful.
47 僕人知道主人的意思，卻不預備，又不順他的意思行，那僕人必多受責打；
That servant who knew his lord’s will, and didn’t prepare nor do what he wanted, will be beaten with many stripes,
48 惟有那不知道的，做了當受責打的事，必少受責打；因為多給誰，就向誰多取；多託誰，就向誰多要。」
but he who didn’t know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked.
49 「我來要把火丟在地上，倘若已經着起來，不也是我所願意的嗎？
“I came to throw fire on the earth. I wish it were already kindled.
50 我有當受的洗還沒有成就，我是何等地迫切呢？
But I have a immersion to be immersed with, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!
51 你們以為我來，是叫地上太平嗎？我告訴你們，不是，乃是叫人紛爭。
Do you think that I have come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, no, but rather division.
52 從今以後，一家五個人將要紛爭：三個人和兩個人相爭，兩個人和三個人相爭；
For from now on, there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 父親和兒子相爭， 兒子和父親相爭； 母親和女兒相爭， 女兒和母親相爭； 婆婆和媳婦相爭， 媳婦和婆婆相爭。」
They will be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against her mother; mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”
54 耶穌又對眾人說：「你們看見西邊起了雲彩，就說：『要下一陣雨』；果然就有。
He said to the multitudes also, “When you see a cloud rising from the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming,’ and so it happens.
55 起了南風，就說：『將要燥熱』；也就有了。
When a south wind blows, you say, ‘There will be a scorching heat,’ and it happens.
56 假冒為善的人哪，你們知道分辨天地的氣色，怎麼不知道分辨這時候呢？」
You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky, but how is it that you don’t interpret this time?
57 「你們又為何不自己審量甚麼是合理的呢？
“Why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right?
58 你同告你的對頭去見官，還在路上，務要盡力地和他了結；恐怕他拉你到官面前，官交付差役，差役把你下在監裏。
For when you are going with your adversary before the magistrate, try diligently on the way to be released from him, lest perhaps he drag you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison.
59 我告訴你，若有半文錢沒有還清，你斷不能從那裏出來。」
I tell you, you will by no means get out of there until you have paid the very last penny.”
