耶利米書 46
1 耶和華論列國的話臨到先知耶利米。
The word of Jehovah that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the nations.
2 論到關乎埃及王法老尼哥的軍隊：這軍隊安營在幼發拉底河邊的迦基米施，是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒在猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬第四年所打敗的。
Of Egypt: concerning the army of Pharaoh-Necho king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates at Carchemish, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon smote in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, the king of Judah.
3 你們要預備大小盾牌， 往前上陣。
Make ready buckler and shield, and draw near to battle!
4 你們套上車， 騎上馬！ 頂盔站立， 磨槍貫甲！
Harness the horses, and mount ye horsemen, and stand forth with helmets; polish the spears, put on the coats of mail!
5 我為何看見他們驚惶轉身退後呢？ 他們的勇士打敗了， 急忙逃跑，並不回頭； 驚嚇四圍都有！ 這是耶和華說的。
Why do I see them dismayed, turned away back? And their mighty ones are beaten down, and take to flight, and look not back? Terror [is] on every side, saith Jehovah.
6 不要容快跑的逃避； 不要容勇士逃脫； 他們在北方幼發拉底河邊絆跌仆倒。
Let not the swift flee away, neither let the mighty man escape! — Toward the north, hard by the river Euphrates, they have stumbled and fallen.
7 像尼羅河漲發， 像江河之水翻騰的是誰呢？
Who is this [that] riseth up as the Nile, whose waters toss themselves like the rivers?
8 埃及像尼羅河漲發， 像江河的水翻騰。 他說：我要漲發遮蓋遍地； 我要毀滅城邑和其中的居民。
It is Egypt that riseth up as the Nile, and [his] waters toss themselves like the rivers; and he saith, I will rise up, I will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof.
9 馬匹上去吧！ 車輛急行吧！ 勇士，就是手拿盾牌的古實人和弗人， 並拉弓的路德族，都出去吧！
Go up, ye horses, and drive furiously, ye chariots; and let the mighty men go forth: Cush and Phut that handle the shield, and the Ludim that handle the bow [and] bend it.
10 那日是主－萬軍之耶和華報仇的日子， 要向敵人報仇。 刀劍必吞吃得飽， 飲血飲足； 因為主－萬軍之耶和華 在北方幼發拉底河邊有獻祭的事。
For this is the day of the Lord Jehovah of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may be avenged of his adversaries; and the sword shall devour, and it shall be sated and made drunk with their blood; for the Lord Jehovah of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country, by the river Euphrates.
11 埃及的民哪， 可以上基列取乳香去； 你雖多服良藥， 總是徒然，不得治好。
Go up to Gilead, and fetch balm, O virgin-daughter of Egypt! In vain shalt thou multiply remedies: there is no healing for thee.
12 列國聽見你的羞辱， 遍地滿了你的哀聲； 勇士與勇士彼此相碰， 一齊跌倒。
The nations have heard of thy shame, and thy cry hath filled the earth; for the mighty man stumbleth against the mighty, they are both fallen together.
13 耶和華對先知耶利米所說的話，論到巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒要來攻擊埃及地：
The word that Jehovah spoke to Jeremiah the prophet, concerning the coming of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon to smite the land of Egypt:
14 你們要傳揚在埃及，宣告在密奪， 報告在挪弗、答比匿說： 要站起出隊，自作準備， 因為刀劍在你四圍施行吞滅的事。
Declare in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and publish in Noph, and in Tahpanhes; say, Stand fast, and prepare thee; for the sword devoureth round about thee.
15 你的壯士為何被沖去呢？ 他們站立不住； 因為耶和華驅逐他們，
Why are thy valiants swept away? They stood not, for Jehovah did thrust them down.
16 使多人絆跌； 他們也彼此撞倒，說： 起來吧！我們再往本民本地去， 好躲避欺壓的刀劍。
He made many to stumble, yea, one fell upon another; and they said, Arise, and let us return to our own people and to the land of our nativity, from the oppressing sword.
17 他們在那裏喊叫說： 埃及王法老不過是個聲音； 他已錯過所定的時候了。
There did they cry, Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he hath let the time appointed go by.
18 君王－名為萬軍之耶和華的說： 我指着我的永生起誓： 尼布甲尼撒來的勢派 必像他泊在眾山之中， 像迦密在海邊一樣。
[As] I live, saith the King, whose name is Jehovah of hosts, surely as Tabor among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea, so shall he come.
19 住在埃及的民哪， 要預備擄去時所用的物件； 因為挪弗必成為荒場， 且被燒毀，無人居住。
Thou, inhabitress, daughter of Egypt, furnish for thyself a captive's baggage, for Noph shall be a desolation and shall be ruined, so that none shall dwell therein.
20 埃及是肥美的母牛犢； 但出於北方的毀滅來到了！來到了！
Egypt is a very fair heifer; the gad-fly cometh, it cometh from the north.
21 其中的雇勇好像圈裏的肥牛犢， 他們轉身退後， 一齊逃跑，站立不住； 因為他們遭難的日子、 追討的時候已經臨到。
Also her hired men in the midst of her are like fatted bullocks; for they also have turned back, they have fled away together, they did not stand; for the day of their calamity is come upon them, the time of their visitation.
22 其中的聲音好像蛇行一樣。 敵人要成隊而來，如砍伐樹木的手拿斧子攻擊他。
Her voice shall go like a serpent's; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood.
23 耶和華說： 埃及的樹林雖然不能尋察， 敵人卻要砍伐， 因他們多於蝗蟲，不可勝數。
They shall cut down her forest, saith Jehovah, though it be impenetrable; for they are more than the locusts, and are innumerable.
24 埃及的民必然蒙羞， 必交在北方人的手中。
The daughter of Egypt is put to shame; she is delivered into the hand of the people of the north.
25 萬軍之耶和華－以色列的上帝說：「我必刑罰挪的亞捫和法老，並埃及與埃及的神，以及君王，也必刑罰法老和倚靠他的人。
Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, saith, Behold, I will punish Amon of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, and her gods, and her kings; yea, Pharaoh and them that confide in him.
26 我要將他們交付尋索其命之人的手和巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒與他臣僕的手；以後埃及必再有人居住，與從前一樣。這是耶和華說的。」
And I will give them into the hand of those that seek their life, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants; but afterwards it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith Jehovah.
27 我的僕人雅各啊，不要懼怕！ 以色列啊，不要驚惶！ 因我要從遠方拯救你， 從被擄到之地拯救你的後裔。 雅各必回來，得享平靖安逸， 無人使他害怕。
But thou, my servant Jacob, fear not, neither be dismayed, Israel: for behold, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make [him] afraid.
28 我的僕人雅各啊，不要懼怕！ 因我與你同在。 我要將我所趕你到的那些國滅絕淨盡， 卻不將你滅絕淨盡， 倒要從寬懲治你， 萬不能不罰你。 這是耶和華說的。
Fear thou not, my servant Jacob, saith Jehovah: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee, but I will not make a full end of thee; but I will correct thee with judgment, and I will not hold thee altogether guiltless.
