以賽亞書 64
1 願你裂天而降； 願山在你面前震動－
Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence;
2 好像火燒乾柴， 又像火將水燒開， 使你敵人知道你的名， 使列國在你面前發顫！
as when fire kindleth the brushwood, [and] the fire causeth the waters to boil: to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence.
3 你曾行我們不能逆料可畏的事。 那時你降臨，山嶺在你面前震動。
When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.
4 從古以來，人未曾聽見、未曾耳聞、未曾眼見 在你以外有甚麼神為等候他的人行事。
For from of old men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen a God beside thee, which worketh for him that waiteth for him.
5 你迎接那歡喜行義、記念你道的人； 你曾發怒，我們仍犯罪； 這景況已久，我們還能得救嗎？
Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou wast wroth, and we sinned: in them [have we been] of long time, and shall we be saved?
6 我們都像不潔淨的人； 所有的義都像污穢的衣服。 我們都像葉子漸漸枯乾； 我們的罪孽好像風把我們吹去。
For we are all become as one that is unclean, and all our righteousnesses are as a polluted garment: and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.
7 並且無人求告你的名； 無人奮力抓住你。 原來你掩面不顧我們， 使我們因罪孽消化。
And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us by means of our iniquities.
8 耶和華啊，現在你仍是我們的父！ 我們是泥，你是窯匠； 我們都是你手的工作。
But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
9 耶和華啊，求你不要大發震怒， 也不要永遠記念罪孽。 求你垂顧我們， 我們都是你的百姓。
Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, look, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.
10 你的聖邑變為曠野。 錫安變為曠野； 耶路撒冷成為荒場。
Thy holy cities are become a wilderness, Zion is become a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.
11 我們聖潔華美的殿－ 就是我們列祖讚美你的所在被火焚燒； 我們所羨慕的美地盡都荒廢。
Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned with fire; and all our pleasant things are laid waste.
12 耶和華啊，有這些事，你還忍得住嗎？ 你仍靜默使我們深受苦難嗎？
Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O LORD? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore?
