阿摩司書 1
1 當猶大王烏西雅，以色列王約阿施的兒子耶羅波安在位的時候，大地震前二年，提哥亞牧人中的阿摩司得默示論以色列。
The words of Amos, who was among the herdsmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
2 他說：耶和華必從錫安吼叫， 從耶路撒冷發聲； 牧人的草場要悲哀； 迦密的山頂要枯乾。
And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.
3 耶和華如此說： 大馬士革三番四次地犯罪， 我必不免去她的刑罰； 因為她以打糧食的鐵器打過基列。
Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron:
4 我卻要降火在哈薛的家中， 燒滅便‧哈達的宮殿。
But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad.
5 我必折斷大馬士革的門閂， 剪除亞文平原的居民和伯‧伊甸掌權的。 亞蘭人必被擄到吉珥。 這是耶和華說的。
I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holds the scepter from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity to Kir, says the LORD.
6 耶和華如此說： 迦薩三番四次地犯罪， 我必不免去她的刑罰； 因為她擄掠眾民交給以東。
Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:
7 我卻要降火在迦薩的城內， 燒滅其中的宮殿。
But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:
8 我必剪除亞實突的居民和亞實基倫掌權的， 也必反手攻擊以革倫。 非利士人所餘剩的必都滅亡。 這是主耶和華說的。
And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holds the scepter from Ashkelon, and I will turn my hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, says the Lord GOD.
9 耶和華如此說： 泰爾三番四次地犯罪， 我必不免去她的刑罰； 因為她將眾民交給以東， 並不記念弟兄的盟約。
Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:
10 我卻要降火在泰爾的城內， 燒滅其中的宮殿。
But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.
11 耶和華如此說： 以東三番四次地犯罪， 我必不免去她的刑罰； 因為她拿刀追趕兄弟，毫無憐憫， 發怒撕裂，永懷忿怒。
Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
12 我卻要降火在提幔， 燒滅波斯拉的宮殿。
But I will send a fire on Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.
13 耶和華如此說： 亞捫人三番四次地犯罪， 我必不免去他們的刑罰； 因為他們剖開基列的孕婦， 擴張自己的境界。
Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:
14 我卻要在爭戰吶喊的日子， 旋風狂暴的時候， 點火在拉巴的城內， 燒滅其中的宮殿。
But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:
15 他們的王和首領必一同被擄去。 這是耶和華說的。
And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, said the LORD.
