阿摩司書 2
1 耶和華如此說： 摩押三番四次地犯罪， 我必不免去她的刑罰； 因為她將以東王的骸骨焚燒成灰。
Thus saith Yhwh; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:
2 我卻要降火在摩押， 燒滅加略的宮殿。 摩押必在鬨嚷吶喊吹角之中死亡。
But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet:
3 我必剪除摩押中的審判者， 將其中的一切首領和他一同殺戮。 這是耶和華說的。
And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith Yhwh.
4 耶和華如此說： 猶大人三番四次地犯罪， 我必不免去他們的刑罰； 因為他們厭棄耶和華的訓誨， 不遵守他的律例。 他們列祖所隨從虛假的偶像使他們走迷了。
Thus saith Yhwh; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of Yhwh, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked:
5 我卻要降火在猶大， 燒滅耶路撒冷的宮殿。
But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.
6 耶和華如此說： 以色列人三番四次地犯罪， 我必不免去他們的刑罰； 因他們為銀子賣了義人， 為一雙鞋賣了窮人。
Thus saith Yhwh; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;
7 他們見窮人頭上所蒙的灰也都垂涎， 阻礙謙卑人的道路。 父子同一個女子行淫， 褻瀆我的聖名。
That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:
8 他們在各壇旁鋪人所當的衣服，臥在其上， 又在他們神的廟中喝受罰之人的酒。
And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.
9 我從以色列人面前除滅亞摩利人。 他雖高大如香柏樹，堅固如橡樹， 我卻上滅他的果子，下絕他的根本。
Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.
10 我也將你們從埃及地領上來， 在曠野引導你們四十年， 使你們得亞摩利人之地為業。
Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.
11 我從你們子弟中興起先知， 又從你們少年人中興起拿細耳人。 以色列人哪，不是這樣嗎？ 這是耶和華說的。
And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith Yhwh.
12 你們卻給拿細耳人酒喝， 囑咐先知說：不要說預言。
But ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.
13 看哪，在你們所住之地，我必壓你們， 如同裝滿禾捆的車壓物一樣。
Behold, I am pressed under you, as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaves.
14 快跑的不能逃脫； 有力的不能用力； 剛勇的也不能自救。
Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:
15 拿弓的不能站立； 腿快的不能逃脫； 騎馬的也不能自救。
Neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself: neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver himself.
16 到那日，勇士中最有膽量的， 必赤身逃跑。 這是耶和華說的。
And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith Yhwh.
