箴言 8
1 智慧岂不呼叫？ 聪明岂不发声？
Does not wisdom call out, and prudence bestow her voice?
2 她在道旁高处的顶上， 在十字路口站立，
At the summits and the tops of exalted places, standing above the ways, in the midst of the paths,
3 在城门旁，在城门口， 在城门洞，大声说：
beside the gates of the city, at the very doors, she speaks, saying:
4 众人哪，我呼叫你们， 我向世人发声。
“O men, to you I call out, and my voice is to the sons of men.
5 说：愚蒙人哪，你们要会悟灵明； 愚昧人哪，你们当心里明白。
O little ones, understand discernment. And you who are unwise, turn your souls.
6 你们当听，因我要说极美的话； 我张嘴要论正直的事。
Listen, for I will speak about great things, and my lips will be opened, so as to foretell what is right.
7 我的口要发出真理； 我的嘴憎恶邪恶。
My throat shall practice truth, and my lips shall detest the impious.
8 我口中的言语都是公义， 并无弯曲乖僻。
All my words are just. There is no depravity in them, and no perversity.
9 有聪明的，以为明显， 得知识的，以为正直。
They are upright to those who understand, and equitable to those who discover knowledge.
10 你们当受我的教训，不受白银； 宁得知识，胜过黄金。
Accept my discipline, and not money. Choose the doctrine that is greater than gold.
11 因为智慧比珍珠更美； 一切可喜爱的都不足与比较。
For wisdom is better than all that is most precious, and everything that is desirable cannot compare to her.
12 我—智慧以灵明为居所， 又寻得知识和谋略。
I, wisdom, dwell in counsel, and I am inside learned thoughts.
13 敬畏耶和华在乎恨恶邪恶； 那骄傲、狂妄，并恶道， 以及乖谬的口，都为我所恨恶。
The fear of the Lord hates evil. I detest arrogance, and pride, and every wicked way, and a mouth with a double tongue.
14 我有谋略和真知识； 我乃聪明，我有能力。
Counsel is mine, and equity. Prudence is mine. Strength is mine.
15 帝王借我坐国位； 君王借我定公平。
Through me, kings reign and legislators decree just conditions.
16 王子和首领， 世上一切的审判官，都是借我掌权。
Through me, princes rule and the powerful decree justice.
17 爱我的，我也爱他； 恳切寻求我的，必寻得见。
I love those who love me. And those who stand watch for me until morning shall discover me.
18 丰富尊荣在我； 恒久的财并公义也在我。
With me, are wealth and glory, superb riches and justice.
19 我的果实胜过黄金，强如精金； 我的出产超乎高银。
For my fruit is better than gold and precious stones, and my progeny better than choice silver.
20 我在公义的道上走， 在公平的路中行，
I walk in the way of justice, in the midst of the paths of judgment,
21 使爱我的，承受货财， 并充满他们的府库。
so that I may enrich those who love me, and thus complete their treasures.
22 在耶和华造化的起头， 在太初创造万物之先，就有了我。
The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his ways, before he made anything, from the beginning.
23 从亘古，从太初， 未有世界以前，我已被立。
I was ordained from eternity, and out of antiquity, before the earth was formed.
24 没有深渊， 没有大水的泉源，我已生出。
The abyss did not yet exist, and I was already conceived; neither had the fountains of waters yet erupted.
25 大山未曾奠定， 小山未有之先，我已生出。
The mountains, with their great mass, had not yet been established. Before the hills, I was brought forth.
26 耶和华还没有创造大地和田野， 并世上的土质，我已生出。
Still he had not made the earth, and the rivers, and the poles of the globe of the earth.
27 他立高天，我在那里； 他在渊面的周围，划出圆圈。
I was already present: when he prepared the heavens; when, with a certain law and a circuit, he fortified the abyss;
28 上使穹苍坚硬， 下使渊源稳固，
when he made firm the sky above, and set free the fountains of waters;
29 为沧海定出界限，使水不越过他的命令， 立定大地的根基。
when he encompassed the sea within its limits, and laid down a law for the waters, lest they transgress their limits; when he weighed the foundations of the earth.
30 那时，我在他那里为工师， 日日为他所喜爱， 常常在他面前踊跃，
I was with him in composing all things. And I was delighted, throughout every day, by playing in his sight at all times,
31 踊跃在他为人预备可住之地， 也喜悦住在世人之间。
playing in globe of the earth. And my delight was to be with the sons of men.
32 众子啊，现在要听从我， 因为谨守我道的，便为有福。
Therefore, sons, hear me now. Blessed are those who preserve my ways.
33 要听教训就得智慧， 不可弃绝。
Listen to discipline, and become wise, and do not be willing to cast it aside.
34 听从我、日日在我门口仰望、 在我门框旁边等候的，那人便为有福。
Blessed is the man who listens to me, and who stands watch at my gates every day, and who observes at the posts of my doors.
35 因为寻得我的，就寻得生命， 也必蒙耶和华的恩惠。
He who finds me, finds life, and he will draw salvation from the Lord.
36 得罪我的，却害了自己的性命； 恨恶我的，都喜爱死亡。
But he who sins against me will wound his own soul. All who hate me love death.”
