民数记 32

1 吕便子孙和迦得子孙的牲畜极其众多；他们看见雅谢地和基列地是可牧放牲畜之地，

And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had much cattle, a very great multitude; and they saw the land of Jaazer, and the land of Gilead, and behold, the place was a place for cattle.

2 就来见摩西和祭司以利亚撒，并会众的首领，说：

And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spoke to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and to the princes of the assembly, saying,

3 “亚大录、底本、雅谢、宁拉、希实本、以利亚利、示班、尼波、比稳，

Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jaazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elaleh, and Sebam, and Nebo, and Beon,

4 就是耶和华在以色列会众前面所攻取之地，是可牧放牲畜之地，你仆人也有牲畜”；

the country that Jehovah smote before the assembly of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle;

5 又说：“我们若在你眼前蒙恩，求你把这地给我们为业，不要领我们过约旦河。”

and they said, If we have found favour in thine eyes, let this land be given to thy servants for a possession: bring us not over the Jordan.

6 摩西对迦得子孙和吕便子孙说：“难道你们的弟兄去打仗，你们竟坐在这里吗？

And Moses said to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye abide here?

7 你们为何使以色列人灰心丧胆、不过去进入耶和华所赐给他们的那地呢？

And why do ye discourage the children of Israel from going over into the land that Jehovah has given them?

8 我先前从加低斯·巴尼亚打发你们先祖去窥探那地，他们也是这样行。

Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land:

9 他们上以实各谷，去窥探那地回来的时候，使以色列人灰心丧胆，不进入耶和华所赐给他们的地。

they went up to the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, and discouraged the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land that Jehovah had given them.

10 当日，耶和华的怒气发作，就起誓说：

And Jehovah's anger was kindled the same time, and he swore, saying,

11 ‘凡从埃及上来、二十岁以外的人断不得看见我对亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓应许之地，因为他们没有专心跟从我。

If the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land that I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob! for they have not wholly followed me;

12 惟有基尼洗族耶孚尼的儿子迦勒和嫩的儿子约书亚可以看见，因为他们专心跟从我。’

save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun; for they have wholly followed Jehovah.

13 耶和华的怒气向以色列人发作，使他们在旷野飘流四十年，等到在耶和华眼前行恶的那一代人都消灭了。

And Jehovah's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until the whole generation was consumed that had done evil in the eyes of Jehovah.

14 谁知，你们起来接续先祖，增添罪人的数目，使耶和华向以色列大发烈怒。

And behold, ye are risen up in your fathers' stead, a progeny of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of Jehovah toward Israel.

15 你们若退后不跟从他，他还要把以色列人撇在旷野，便是你们使这众民灭亡。”

If ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people.

16 两支派的人挨近摩西，说：“我们要在这里为牲畜垒圈，为妇人孩子造城。

And they drew near to him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones;

17 我们自己要带兵器行在以色列人的前头，好把他们领到他们的地方；但我们的妇人孩子，因这地居民的缘故，要住在坚固的城内。

but we ourselves will go with diligence armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them to their place; and our little ones shall dwell in the strong cities because of the inhabitants of the land.

18 我们不回家，直等到以色列人各承受自己的产业。

We will not return to our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited each one his inheritance.

19 我们不和他们在约旦河那边一带之地同受产业，因为我们的产业是坐落在约旦河东边这里。”

For we will not inherit with them on yonder side the Jordan, and further, because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side the Jordan eastward.

20 摩西对他们说：“你们若这样行，在耶和华面前带着兵器出去打仗，

And Moses said to them, If ye do this thing, if ye arm yourselves before Jehovah for war,

21 所有带兵器的人都要在耶和华面前过约旦河，等他赶出他的仇敌，

and all of you that are armed go over the Jordan before Jehovah, until he have dispossessed his enemies from before him,

22 那地被耶和华制伏了，然后你们可以回来，向耶和华和以色列才为无罪，这地也必在耶和华面前归你们为业。

and the land is subdued before Jehovah, and afterwards ye return, ye shall be guiltless toward Jehovah and toward Israel, and this land shall be your possession before Jehovah.

23 倘若你们不这样行，就得罪耶和华，要知道你们的罪必追上你们。

But if ye do not do so, behold, ye have sinned against Jehovah, and be sure your sin will find you out.

24 如今你们口中所出的，只管去行，为你们的妇人孩子造城，为你们的羊群垒圈。”

Build yourselves cities for your little ones, and folds for your flocks, and do that which has gone out of your mouth.

25 迦得子孙和吕便子孙对摩西说：“仆人要照我主所吩咐的去行。

And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spoke to Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commands.

26 我们的妻子、孩子、羊群，和所有的牲畜都要留在基列的各城。

Our little ones, our wives, our cattle, and all our beasts shall be there in the cities of Gilead;

27 但你的仆人，凡带兵器的，都要照我主所说的话，在耶和华面前过去打仗。”

but thy servants will pass over, every one armed for war, before Jehovah to battle, as my lord says.

28 于是，摩西为他们嘱咐祭司以利亚撒和嫩的儿子约书亚，并以色列众支派的族长，说：

So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel.

29 “迦得子孙和吕便子孙，凡带兵器在耶和华面前去打仗的，若与你们一同过约旦河，那地被你们制伏了，你们就要把基列地给他们为业。

And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben pass with you over the Jordan, every one armed for battle, before Jehovah, and the land be subdued before you, then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession;

30 倘若他们不带兵器和你们一同过去，就要在迦南地你们中间得产业。”

but if they do not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.

31 迦得子孙和吕便子孙回答说：“耶和华怎样吩咐仆人，仆人就怎样行。

And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As Jehovah has said to thy servants, so will we do.

32 我们要带兵器，在耶和华面前过去，进入迦南地，只是约旦河这边、我们所得为业之地仍归我们。”

We will pass over armed before Jehovah into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance on this side the Jordan shall be ours.

33 摩西将亚摩利王西宏的国和巴珊王噩的国，连那地和周围的城邑，都给了迦得子孙和吕便子孙，并约瑟的儿子玛拿西半个支派。

And Moses gave to them, to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and to half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og the king of Bashan, the land, according to its cities and territories, the cities of the land round about.

34 迦得子孙建造底本、亚他录、亚罗珥、

And the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,

35 亚他录·朔反、雅谢、约比哈、

and Atroth-Shophan, and Jaazer, and Jogbebah,

36 伯·宁拉、伯·哈兰，都是坚固城。他们又垒羊圈。

and Beth-Nimrah, and Beth-haran, strong cities, and sheepfolds.

37 吕便子孙建造希实本、以利亚利、基列亭、

— And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elaleh, and Kirjathaim,

38 尼波、巴力·免、西比玛（尼波、巴力·免，名字是改了的），又给他们所建造的城另起别名。

and Nebo, and Baal-meon (of which the names were changed), and Sibmah; and they gave other names to the cities that they built.

39 玛拿西的儿子玛吉，他的子孙往基列去，占了那地，赶出那里的亚摩利人。

— And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and they dispossessed the Amorites that were therein.

40 摩西将基列赐给玛拿西的儿子玛吉，他子孙就住在那里。

And Moses gave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh; and he dwelt therein.

41 玛拿西的子孙睚珥去占了基列的村庄，就称这些村庄为哈倭特·睚珥。

And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took their hamlets, and called them Havoth-Jair.

42 挪巴去占了基纳和基纳的乡村，就按自己的名称基纳为挪巴。

And Nobah went and took Kenath, and its dependent villages, and called it Nobah, after his name.
