约伯记 18

1 书亚人比勒达回答说：

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

2 你寻索言语要到几时呢？ 你可以揣摩思想，然后我们就说话。

How long [will it be ere] ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.

3 我们为何算为畜生， 在你眼中看作污秽呢？

Wherefore are we counted as beasts, [and] reputed vile in your sight?

4 你这恼怒将自己撕裂的， 难道大地为你见弃、 磐石挪开原处吗？

He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?

5 恶人的亮光必要熄灭； 他的火焰必不照耀。

Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.

6 他帐棚中的亮光要变为黑暗； 他以上的灯也必熄灭。

The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.

7 他坚强的脚步必见狭窄； 自己的计谋必将他绊倒。

The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.

8 因为他被自己的脚陷入网中， 走在缠人的网罗上。

For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.

9 圈套必抓住他的脚跟； 机关必擒获他。

The gin shall take [him] by the heel, [and] the robber shall prevail against him.

10 活扣为他藏在土内； 羁绊为他藏在路上。

The snare [is] laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.

11 四面的惊吓要使他害怕， 并且追赶他的脚跟。

Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.

12 他的力量必因饥饿衰败； 祸患要在他旁边等候。

His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction [shall be] ready at his side.

13 他本身的肢体要被吞吃； 死亡的长子要吞吃他的肢体。

It shall devour the strength of his skin: [even] the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.

14 他要从所倚靠的帐棚被拔出来， 带到惊吓的王那里。

His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.

15 不属他的必住在他的帐棚里； 硫磺必撒在他所住之处。

It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because [it is] none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.

16 下边，他的根本要枯干； 上边，他的枝子要剪除。

His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.

17 他的记念在地上必然灭亡； 他的名字在街上也不存留。

His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.

18 他必从光明中被撵到黑暗里， 必被赶出世界。

He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.

19 在本民中必无子无孙； 在寄居之地也无一人存留。

He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.

20 以后来的要惊奇他的日子， 好像以前去的受了惊骇。

They that come after [him] shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.

21 不义之人的住处总是这样； 此乃不认识 神之人的地步。

Surely such [are] the dwellings of the wicked, and this [is] the place [of him that] knoweth not God.
