申命记 13
1 “你们中间若有先知或是做梦的起来，向你显个神迹奇事，
If there rise in the midst of thee a prophet or one that saith he hath dreamed a dream, and he foretell a sign and a wonder,
2 对你说：‘我们去随从你素来所不认识的别神，事奉它吧。’他所显的神迹奇事虽有应验，
And that come to pass which he spoke, and he say to thee: Let us go and follow strange gods, which thou knowest not, and let us serve them:
3 你也不可听那先知或是那做梦之人的话；因为这是耶和华—你们的 神试验你们，要知道你们是尽心尽性爱耶和华—你们的 神不是。
Thou shalt not hear the words of that prophet or dreamer: for the Lord your God trieth you, that it may appear whether you love him with all your heart, and with all your soul, or not.
4 你们要顺从耶和华—你们的 神，敬畏他，谨守他的诫命，听从他的话，事奉他，专靠他。
Follow the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and hear his voice: him you shall serve, and to him you shall cleave.
5 那先知或是那做梦的既用言语叛逆那领你们出埃及地、救赎你脱离为奴之家的耶和华—你们的 神，要勾引你离开耶和华—你 神所吩咐你行的道，你便要将他治死。这样，就把那恶从你们中间除掉。
And that prophet or forger of dreams shall be slain: because he spoke to draw you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you from the house of bondage: to make thee go out of the way, which the Lord thy God commanded thee: and thou shalt take away the evil out of the midst of thee.
6 “你的同胞弟兄，或是你的儿女，或是你怀中的妻，或是如同你性命的朋友，若暗中引诱你，说：‘我们不如去事奉你和你列祖素来所不认识的别神—
If thy brother the son of thy mother, or thy son, or daughter, or thy wife that is in thy bosom, or thy friend, whom thou lovest as thy own soul, would persuade thee secretly, saying: Let us go, and serve strange gods, which thou knowest not, nor thy fathers,
7 是你四围列国的神。’无论是离你近，离你远，从地这边到地那边的神，
Of all the nations round about, that are near or afar off, from one end of the earth to the other,
8 你不可依从他，也不可听从他，眼不可顾惜他。你不可怜恤他，也不可遮庇他，
Consent not to him, hear him not, neither let thy eye spare him to pity and conceal him,
9 总要杀他；你先下手，然后众民也下手，将他治死。
But thou shalt presently put him to death. It Let thy hand be first upon him, and afterwards the hands of all the people.
10 要用石头打死他，因为他想要勾引你离开那领你出埃及地为奴之家的耶和华—你的 神。
With stones shall he be stoned to death: because he would have withdrawn thee from the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage:
11 以色列众人都要听见害怕，就不敢在你们中间再行这样的恶了。
That all Israel hearing may fear, and may do no more any thing like this.
12 “在耶和华—你 神所赐你居住的各城中，你若听人说，有些匪类从你们中间的一座城出来勾引本城的居民，说：‘我们不如去事奉你们素来所不认识的别神’；
If in one of thy cities, which the Lord thy God shall give thee to dwell in, thou hear some say:
Children of Belial are gone out of the midst of thee, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, and have said: Let us go, and serve strange gods which you know not:
14 你就要探听，查究，细细地访问，果然是真，准有这可憎恶的事行在你们中间，
Inquire carefully and diligently, the truth of the thing by looking well into it, and if thou find that which is said to be certain, and that this abomination hath been really committed,
15 你必要用刀杀那城里的居民，把城里所有的，连牲畜，都用刀杀尽。
Thou shalt forthwith kill the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, and shalt destroy it and all things that are in it, even the cattle.
16 你从那城里所夺的财物都要堆积在街市上，用火将城和其内所夺的财物都在耶和华—你 神面前烧尽；那城就永为荒堆，不可再建造。
And all the household goods that are there, thou shalt gather together in the midst of the streets thereof, and shalt burn them with the city itself, so as to consume all for the Lord thy God, and that it be a heap for ever: it shall be built no more.
17 那当毁灭的物连一点都不可粘你的手。你要听从耶和华—你 神的话，遵守我今日所吩咐你的一切诫命，行耶和华—你 神眼中看为正的事，耶和华就必转意，不发烈怒，恩待你，怜恤你，照他向你列祖所起的誓使你人数增多。”
And there shall nothing of that anathema stick to thy hand: that the Lord may turn from the wrath of his fury, and may have mercy on thee, and multiply thee as he swore to thy fathers,
When thou shalt hear the voice of the Lord thy God, keeping all his precepts, which I command thee this day, that thou mayst do what is pleasing in the sight of the Lord thy God.
